33: Goblin Hut and Minotaur Guard

As Xiao Hongyuan killed the Goblins around her, she shouted to A Fei, "Go see if those wooden cabins can be destroyed!"

A Fei nodded and immediately began attacking one of the cabins.

Facing a massive siege of Goblins, Jian Wuxie showed no fear; instead, he grew more excited as he fought. Laughing wildly, he swung his greatsword like a meat grinder, leaving behind nothing but the white light of Goblin corpses wherever he went.

While fending off the Goblins attacking A Fei from all sides, Quan Wudi urged, "Xiao Fei, how's it going?"

A Fei's dense attacks landed on the cabin, and the wood was hacked to pieces until it collapsed with a loud 'boom'.

Seeing that no more Goblins were crawling out of the collapsed cabin, A Fei breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Destroying the cabins works!"

But when he looked up, Goblins were still pouring out of the other cabins, and as time passed, the variety of Goblins increased.

The various types of Goblins caused great trouble for the four of them for a time, throwing all sorts of projectiles that made dodging difficult.

"Jian Wuxie, stop just killing them! Prioritize the cabins, or we'll all be worn down to death here!" Xiao Hongyuan shouted as she charged toward a cabin.

Quan Wudi also let out a roar, unleashing all his skills. After clearing a small area, he too charged toward a cabin.

As the number of Goblins around them grew, the attack effect of A Fei's short sword, Thunder Rage, triggered more frequently. Bolts of heavenly lightning fell from time to time, wounding many Goblins.

The power of Quan Wudi's newly acquired weapon also became apparent, as it could kill a Goblin in just one or two hits on average.

Under the four's desperate assault, those Goblin cabins were finally all destroyed, and the number of Goblins stopped increasing.

After slaughtering the last Goblin, Xiao Hongyuan panted and said, "Did you notice? These Goblins seem to have become a bit stronger?"

A Fei, who had many wounds on his body, took out some wild strawberries and ate them before replying, "Indeed. Not only has their attack power increased, but they've also become tougher and harder to kill."

Jian Wuxie, covered in blood, gave a bitter smile. "The monsters are constantly getting stronger, but we aren't. Of course it feels harder to fight."

Quan Wudi rubbed his head and said in confusion, "How come I didn't notice?"

Jian Wuxie rolled his eyes and said, "Your weapon is powerful, so naturally you wouldn't notice while killing these Goblins. This greatsword of mine was given to me by Great Master Shinda; its attack power is way lower than yours, alright?"

As Jian Wuxie spoke, he pulled out his greatsword to show everyone.

Xiao Hongyuan spoke up, "Junior Brother, why is your greatsword full of notches?"

Jian Wuxie shook his head helplessly. "I've killed too many monsters; I feel like this sword is getting duller and duller."

"Don't you guys know that weapons need maintenance and repairs?" A Fei said with a look of exasperation.

Seeing the three of them looking puzzled, A Fei explained helplessly, "Weapons will definitely get damaged after long use, so you have to let a blacksmith repair them frequently!"

Seeing the three of them look enlightened, A Fei suddenly felt a bit tired.

After a brief rest, the four continued forward. Just as they passed through the thickets, they saw Minotaurs again, but these two Minotaurs were somewhat different.

These two Minotaurs held giant axes and were covered in snow-white fur. Their bodies were painted with many totems in red pigment. They stood there like guards, not moving around randomly.

And behind them stood a Minotaur Giant Beast.

"Do the Lord-tier Minotaur Giant Beasts of the Gloomy Forest only count as common mobs here?" Xiao Hongyuan said softly in surprise.

"I haven't seen those two smaller Minotaurs before; be careful," A Fei reminded them at the right time.

Quan Wudi rubbed the claws on his hands together and laughed, "Since my weapon is good, I'll go first this time!"

Quan Wudi took the lead, rushing in front of a White Minotaur and swinging his claws to attack.

But upon seeing the enemy, the White Minotaur did not attack or dodge; it simply held its giant axe across its chest, and a faint blue light shield appeared in front of it.

Quan Wudi's attack landed on the light shield, making a sound like striking steel, failing to cause any damage to the Minotaur.

"Is that Spirit Qi Body Protection?" Jian Wuxie shouted, his mouth hanging open in surprise.

Quan Wudi was also stunned by the scene and murmured, "What's going on? How can this monster use Spirit Qi?"

While Quan Wudi was dazed, the White Minotaur suddenly raised its giant axe and swung it down in one strike.

Quan Wudi was completely unprepared and was sent flying by the axe, crashing to the ground.

Lying on the ground, Quan Wudi shouted in horror, "Damn, that one hit took away a third of my health!"

Xiao Hongyuan's reaction was extremely fast. She closed in on the White Minotaur with a Three-Stage Slash and raised her hand for an Uppercut, hoping to launch it into the air.

But the Spirit Qi Shield appeared before the Minotaur again, completely ignoring Xiao Hongyuan's Uppercut.

Seeing that her strike achieved nothing, Xiao Hongyuan didn't panic and immediately followed up with a Wave Split Slash.

Under the control of the Wave Split Slash, the Minotaur was suspended in mid-air. After being slashed by countless circling sword shadows, it slammed heavily onto the ground.

Xiao Hongyuan then breathed a sigh of relief; being able to break its defense meant it could be fought.

At this time, the Minotaur Giant Beast in the back and the other Minotaur also rushed up, attacking with roars.

Xiao Hongyuan immediately dodged the attack with a nimble Backstep, turned to follow up with a Ghost Slash to force the Minotaur back, and then quickly retreated to open up some distance.

Seeing his Senior Sister out of danger, Jian Wuxie immediately charged up with his sword and smashed a Mountain Collapse Strike onto the Minotaur that had just stood up.

Unfortunately, it was again blocked by the Minotaur's Spirit Qi Shield, causing no damage at all.

However, A Fei used a Three-Stage Slash to get behind the Minotaur and launched an Uppercut from its rear.

Just when everyone thought it would be another futile effort, the Minotaur let out a miserable wail and was launched into the air.

"What's going on? A Fei can ignore the Spirit Qi Shield?" Quan Wudi shouted in surprise.

A Fei quickly slashed the Minotaur in mid-air several times and finished with a Ghost Slash. The Minotaur seemed to have taken a fatal blow; it shrieked and died, turning into white light.

"A Fei? What's going on? Why did your attack power suddenly become so high?" Xiao Hongyuan asked in confusion.

A Fei didn't answer but lowered his head in thought for a moment. He turned and shouted to Jian Wuxie, "Keep attacking the other Minotaur! I want to see if my theory is correct!"

Seeing this, Xiao Hongyuan cooperatively lured the Minotaur Giant Beast to the side. While dodging its pursuit, she watched Jian Wuxie and A Fei's actions with curiosity.
