136: Discover the weaknesses of the explosive bombs and the Treant Jungle.

"Argh, this is so annoying!" Jian Wuxie struggled violently.

But A Fei, who had been standing still nearby, noticed that the vines on his feet actually squirmed a few times and slowly receded.

"Don't struggle! Stand still and don't move!" A Fei shouted.

Jian Wuxie had no choice but to do as he was told.

Slowly, the vines on the legs of the four people retracted, and they regained their freedom.

"Keep moving! If you don't stand still in one place, those vines won't wrap around you so quickly!" A Fei said.

The four of them quickly started running and rushed toward the big trees.

Approaching the first big tree, Jian Wuxie stabbed it with his sword. Seeing the tip sink into the trunk and sap flow out, he shouted, "This is a real tree!"

The group went around it and continued forward, suddenly noticing a big tree not far away flash brightly as a branch stabbed into the ground!

"Over there!" A Fei quickly alerted them.

Jian Wuxie rushed over, but before he could get close, a wooden spike suddenly thrust out diagonally from under his feet, stabbing his leg. He let out a painful scream and fell to the ground.

"Watch your step! That Treant can use its branches to sneak attack from underground!" Xiao Hongyuan quickly warned.

After warning the others, Xiao Hongyuan immediately activated Five-Stage Slash to close in on the Treant, following up with a Flowing Heart Stab.

The light sword pierced the Treant, and it finally began to move slowly.

The Treant pulled its branch out of the ground and swung it violently at Xiao Hongyuan.

Xiao Hongyuan dodged with a Back Hop Slash while simultaneously hacking at the branch.

Quan Wudi also rushed in front of the Treant, raising his claws to attack.

But a withered tree behind the Treant suddenly extended a long branch, wrapping around Quan Wudi's waist, hoisting him up, and slamming him back onto the ground.

Quan Wudi climbed up from the ground, looking dazed, and cursed, "Damn, they're even working together now."

Jian Wuxie finally pressed forward, wielding his Greatsword. Soon, he and Xiao Hongyuan worked together to kill the first Treant.

A Fei, however, kept running without stopping, heading straight behind all the big trees.

As A Fei passed by, the Treants disguised as big trees attacked one after another, trying to stop him.

A Fei dodged them all.

Standing behind all the Treants, A Fei pointed out each one that had attacked.

With A Fei's guidance, the other three eliminated all the Treants one by one.

The door to the next room finally opened.

A Fei saw flower beds and jars next to the door and smashed them all to see if there were any supplies inside.

As the last jar shattered, several bombs actually dropped out.

A Fei picked up a bomb and checked its attributes.

Explodes after being thrown, dealing 482 damage to enemies.

Jian Wuxie curled his lip and said, "That's it? I deal more damage with a random sword swing."

A Fei smiled and said, "This thing is pretty good. Next time we encounter a Treant disguised as a tree, we can just throw one. We'll know if it's real or fake instantly without having to run over to test it."

Xiao Hongyuan praised, "A Fei, you really are clever."

The four entered the next room and found old acquaintances; there were several Gardener Cat-Wraiths from the zombie area in the room.

"Don't let them plant flowers!" Quan Wudi roared.

The four of them rushed forward and began slaughtering the Cat-Wraiths.

These Cat-Wraiths were no match for the four now; they were eliminated before they could plant a single Screaming Flower.

Jian Wuxie looked up; aside from a few flower beds, there were no Treants in the room. He breathed a small sigh of relief.

A Fei smashed the flower beds and happily picked up a few more Explosive Bombs.

And so, the four made their way forward with difficulty. After eliminating many Cat-Wraiths, they finally encountered Treants again.

Jian Wuxie looked at the room; not only were there many big trees, but the room was also filled with Sleeping Flowers, and beneath them, the ground was covered in green vines.

"This Treant Forest is just too disgusting!" Jian Wuxie wailed.

A Fei pulled out an Explosive Bomb and said, "Perfect time to test this bomb!"

A Fei threw the bomb toward the nearest big tree.

The four watched as the bomb landed among the Sleeping Flowers by the tree and slowly turned red.

With a loud 'Boom!', the bomb erupted in explosive flames.

The Treant disguised as a big tree recoiled violently as if it had suffered significant damage.

But it wasn't over yet. After the bomb exploded, the flames ignited the nearby Sleeping Flowers. Once the flower buds were scorched by the fire, they also exploded.

A chain reaction occurred instantly. The fire spread continuously, and explosions rang out one after another. The entire room caught fire, and whether it was the Sleeping Flowers or the vines on the ground, everything was burned clean.

In the sea of fire, the Treants' health points dropped rapidly, and they let out low, pained roars.

The four waited until the flames died down, staring at the charred ground and Treants with their mouths agape.

"Oh, why didn't I think of that? These things are all plants, and they're most afraid of fire. We can just set them on fire!" Jian Wuxie said excitedly.

"Yeah, thanks to A Fei's bomb," Xiao Hongyuan added.

Having learned the Treants' weakness, the four's pace quickened significantly. Whenever they saw vines or Sleeping Flowers in a room, they'd throw an Explosive Bomb and finish off the half-burnt Treants once the fire went out.

Fighting their way through, they finally arrived in the Boss's room.

Looking at the plants in the room, A Fei didn't even blink before throwing an Explosive Bomb.

Flames instantly roared through the room, and many Cat-Wraiths and Treants screamed as they were burned.

"Look! There's someone there!" Jian Wuxie shouted.

The three looked over and indeed saw a Cultist in orange-red robes struggling in the sea of fire.

"It seems that's the holder of the Twilight Prophecy," Xiao Hongyuan said.

As the fire died down, the four finished off the surviving Cultists and Treants, finally obtaining the Twilight Prophecy.

But just then, a row of wooden spikes suddenly erupted from the ground beneath them, knocking all four into the air.

Before they could land, another row of spikes appeared on the ground, right where they were about to fall.

Four screams rang out as the spikes pierced through their bodies, causing their health points to plummet.

"Look!" A Fei pointed into the distance.

A large, reddish-brown Treant stood there, its trunk covered in incomprehensible runes, with one branch still plunged into the ground.

"It seems that's the Treant Elder Ophelia mentioned, Great Tree Guardian Lodin. To think that the Treant Elder she called the friendliest to humans has also had his mind corrupted."

A Fei handed Jian Wuxie a bottle of Salamander Potion and took one out for himself, applying it to his sword. "In that case, we have no choice but to kill it!"

Jian Wuxie took the potion and applied it to his sword. Watching the blade glow with the light of flames, he charged straight in.
