Bank Balance Ambassador
The entire bank was instantly thrown into chaos. Seeing this, the counter staff immediately pressed the alarm button.
On the other side, the Enforcer who received the call was in a difficult position, as the Law Enforcement Bureau was currently planning a major operation.
Helpless, he had to inform his superior of the news. However, the reply he received was, "Send two people to check on the situation. No one else is allowed to leave the Law Enforcement Bureau without my orders."
In the end, it was two brothers who received this order, and they drove to the bank with great reluctance.
"Damn, it's a bank robbery! And they're only sending the two of us? Isn't that just sending us to our deaths?"
"Let's just check out the situation first. Maybe they're only holding knives?"
"Knives? What kind of idiot robs a bank with a knife?"
Soon, the two parked their car on the side of the road, a hundred meters away from the bank.
Just as they got out of the car, they heard gunfire coming from inside the bank. They exchanged looks, their expressions darkening.
"What do we do? That's clearly the sound of an AK. With our little pistols, we'd probably be turned into sieves before we even got close. How about we forget it, sit in the car, and wait for them to leave before we go in to investigate?"
"Yeah, you make sense. Why risk our lives for a few thousand bucks a month? Get back in the car, let's take a nap and see what happens."
Without hesitation, the two climbed back into the car, but someone else didn't want things to go their way.
The onlookers nearby, who loved a good spectacle, saw this and began pointing and whispering at them.
"Damn it, are you kidding me? There's a robbery going on, and they're hiding in the car sleeping? They're absolute scum."
"Exactly, it's so disappointing. How can they protect our safety like this?"
"Heh, it's not like you've only known them for a day. If they had the guts to step up, they wouldn't be the backers of the Scorpion Gang. The Scorpion Gang wouldn't dare oppress us either. If you ask me, it would be better if the Hydra took over instead of these Enforcers; we might actually live more comfortably that way."
"That's true. At least the Hydra wouldn't bully us like the Scorpion Gang, nor would they be as cowardly as these guys."
"Pah! What a load of crap! All crows are black; none of them are any good."
They didn't lower their voices, so the two brothers in the car heard everything clearly.
This infuriated them. "Damn! They talk so easily. Protecting the Scorpion Gang is the higher-ups' decision. We're just ordinary Enforcers; what does that have to do with us? And yet, they just love to stand on the moral high ground and point fingers at us.
It's like we weren't born of a mother too. If we died in the line of duty, would they take care of our parents for the rest of their lives?"
"You're right. Give them a gun and see if they dare to go in. Screw them. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. And the higher-ups, would it kill them to send a few more people? I quit! Why risk my life for a few thousand bucks? Here, take this."
Saying that, he pulled a pair of black stockings from under the seat and tossed one to the other.
Looking at the black stockings in his lap, the other was stunned for a moment.
"What are you staring at? Put it on! Oh, and take off our jackets later. They want us to go in? Fine, we'll go in."
Hearing this, the other understood instantly, though he said with a worried tone, "Isn't that a bit inappropriate?"
"What's so inappropriate about it? If it comes to it, we'll just join the Hydra. Anyway, I've been sick of these guys for a long time. They dump all the dangerous tasks on us, take all the perks, and even dare to embezzle ninety percent of the death benefits. Damn it!"
Upon hearing this, the other person's anger flared, and a malicious resolve took hold. He quickly took off his jacket and pulled the black stocking over his head.
Holding his service pistol, he kicked the car door open.
When the crowd outside saw them looking like that, the words on their lips were instinctively swallowed back. They pretended not to see anything, as if they hadn't been the ones speaking just moments ago, and scurried away in a flash.
"Hey, brother, these black stockings are really good stuff. Put them on your head, and no one dares to talk back. No, wait! Now there isn't even a shadow of a person left."
"Stop talking nonsense. Let's go. Don't get too excited, and remember our current identity."
"Understood. Wearing a black stocking on my head, everyone will know what I'm here for without me saying a word. But coming back to it, brother, where did you get these? They smell so good!"
"Oh, they probably belong to the ice queen in our bureau."
The two chatted as they walked, and when they reached the bank entrance, two corpses came into view.
At the same time, the robber inside, who was busy putting money into a bag, seemed to sense something. He turned his head, immediately stood up, and aimed his gun at the two people outside the door.
"Do you two know the rules? First come, first served, you know? This place is mine. You guys go find another one."
The two brothers laughed upon hearing this. "Brother, don't misunderstand. We're here to join you."
"Join me? You want to double-cross me, right? Don't think I don't know. You just want to wait until I leave and then snatch the money from me."
"No, no, no. We have absolutely no such intention. We brothers genuinely want to join you. Seeing you dare to barge in here all alone, we are deeply impressed. Really, if you don't believe us, we can give you all our weapons. We'll do whatever you say."
"Fine, then throw your guns on the ground and turn your backs to me."
To his surprise, the two brothers actually did it.
He quickly picked up the guns from the ground and examined them. His eyes narrowed, and he kicked one of them to the ground, then aimed his gun at the other's head, snarling, "Damn it, do you think I'm an idiot? Don't think that just because you have black stockings on your heads, you're my accomplices. You're Enforcers, aren't you? Don't think I don't know. Speak, or I'll kill you right now."
Seeing their identity exposed, they realized it was the weapons that gave them away. The two brothers naturally didn't dare to admit it, otherwise, the other guy might not even give them a chance to explain.
"Brother, calm down, listen to me..."
Before he could finish, two jeeps suddenly pulled up outside. A moment later, six burly men carrying rifles swaggered in.
The leader was none other than Scarface. Looking at the scene inside, his expression didn't change much.
He lifted his eyelids, looked at the robber holding the AK, and said coldly, "Take the money you've packed and get out immediately. Behave yourself during this period."
The robber looked at their high-quality weapons, his mind full of questions. They weren't Enforcers, and they weren't military. Could it be they were accomplices too? Damn, that's too arrogant. Not only are they not wearing masks, but they're also walking around openly with rifles. They clearly don't give a damn about the Enforcers.
"And who are you guys? Based on what..."
Hearing the guy trying to challenge Scarface, the two brothers quickly spoke up to warn him, "B-brother, calm down! They are people from the Hydra."
However, the robber who called himself the Bank Balancing Ambassador clearly didn't react in time upon hearing this.
"What Hydra? I'm ten-headed... Wh-what? They are people from the Hydra?"
As the Bank Balancing Ambassador spoke, he suddenly realized, and he started shivering in fear.
