366 Big Changes!

"Old Du, what's the situation? I heard you requested this meeting. What exactly happened that made you so urgent?"

"Yeah, can you give us a hint? The meeting is about to start anyway."

Du Weien had applied to the person above for the meeting, so these people naturally didn't know the content of the request, and he didn't intend to tell them now.

"Don't be impatient. You'll find out in a bit. Being in your positions, you shouldn't be so anxious."

He naturally knew these people. Coincidentally, they were all on the list, which meant they were all dead men walking. He never wasted his breath on the dying.

So, after a brief response, he ignored them.

Seeing Du Weien ignore them, a few people curled their lips and said disdainfully, "What a joke. We're equals, yet he has the nerve to ignore us."

"It's fine. We'll make things difficult for him during the meeting. We've wanted to get rid of him for a long time; we just haven't found a good reason yet. Let's see what he says later and act accordingly."

"But if we do that, won't he lash out and hurt someone? I heard he's trained."

"Nonsense, what are you afraid of, you coward? At most, he'll give you a couple of slaps. What, is he going to shoot you? Don't forget where we are. You can't even bring in a Little Blade, let alone a gun. Enough, just follow my lead when the time comes."

On Du Weien's side, two people also approached him. "Old Du, what big thing happened? You called such an urgent meeting. Give us a heads-up."

"Exactly, we're friends. By the way, I just overheard that those bastards want to impeach you."

"Impeach Old Du? Those useless fools? Don't make me laugh."

"True, but you still need to be careful. Don't worry, Old Du, the two of us will definitely support you. If they dare say anything unpleasant, we'll deal with them. It wouldn't be the first time anyway."

A meeting, of course, is a combination of assembly and discussion—the physical 'assembly' of hands and feet, and the verbal 'discussion' of the mouth.

Hearing this, Du Weien didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He was actually hoping those people would cause trouble. Looking at the two beside him, he nodded silently. They weren't on the list, which made him feel somewhat relieved.

After all, these two were the only ones he could trust. It seemed the other party had thoroughly investigated everyone here.

After a long time, The Chief finally arrived.

Once he sat down, everyone returned to their seats, and the meeting began.

The Chief looked around and finally settled on Du Weien. "Minister Du, everyone is here. Tell us about the situation in your Resources Department."

Hearing this, Du Weien rose calmly and walked to the podium. He inserted his USB drive into the computer, then looked up at everyone and said softly, "Everyone, today's meeting is special. In other words, it is significant enough to go down in history. Before I speak, I want to show you something."

As he spoke, he pressed the play button. A picture suddenly appeared on the large screen on the wall. In the image, a baby lay on an operating table with only two doctors beside it.

A crisp crying sound rang out. Everyone looked at each other, not understanding what Du Weien was trying to do.

"It's just a baby having surgery, right? What's there to see, and why play it here?"

But no one noticed that after seeing this image, The Chief's expression changed slightly, and his heart felt vaguely uncomfortable.

Just as everyone thought it was a routine surgery, the doctor picked up a scalpel and directly removed the baby's heart.

The moment the knife moved, the baby's crying reached its peak. It was clear that the heart was being forcibly removed.

This scene would cause public outrage no matter where it was shown.

"Investigate! This must be investigated to the end. This is the brutalization of our future successors!"

"Yes, something like this is an outrage to both gods and men. We must find them, especially those two doctors. They must be executed by a thousand cuts."

Everyone looked at the screen with faces full of resentment, though most were just putting on a show.

After all, such things were an open secret, but they had to play the part, otherwise wouldn't it show they were in league with such acts?

However, the footage didn't end there; there was a long segment following it. After they finished watching the video, the entire conference hall fell into a deathly silence.

Everyone's eyes turned to The Chief, but he remained indifferent. "Minister Du, the video is over. Now, tell us about the matters concerning your Resources Department."

At this stage, whether the video was real or not was no longer important. Regardless, it only benefited Du Weien and had no drawbacks for him.

Hearing The Chief's words, Du Weien didn't waste any more words and walked slowly toward him. Watching Du Weien approach, The Chief remained as calm as still water.

But his composure didn't last long. Once Du Weien reached him, he pulled out a gun and pressed it against his back.

The sudden turn of events shocked everyone. A gun?

Du Weien actually brought a weapon into the conference hall? What was he doing? How did he manage it?

"Du Weien, what are you doing? Do you have any idea what you're doing? Put the gun down immediately!"

"Exactly. Bringing a weapon in is already a major crime. Don't be so stubborn."

Even the two who were chatting and laughing with Du Weien just now were struck with inexplicable horror, clearly not knowing why he was doing this.

Isn't this just seeking death?

The Chief seemed certain that Du Weien wouldn't dare kill him, his face still maintaining a calm and composed look.

"Minister Du, do you know what you're doing? Are you sure a single gun can kill everyone here?"

However, as soon as he finished speaking, Du Weien pulled out another gun from his jacket and pointed it at his head. "Is this enough? If not... come in!"

With that, he suddenly shouted toward the door. The next second, the conference room doors swung open, and over a dozen guards rushed in with rifles.

Seeing this, they finally realized why Du Weien could bring in weapons—it turned out everyone outside was his!

Seeing this, not only were they panicked, but even The Chief began to panic.

"Minister Du, do you really intend to kill us all?"

"Exactly. Even if you kill us all, the military won't take orders from you. You'll die too. Don't do anything stupid. If you put the gun down now, there's still room for negotiation."

However, hearing this, Du Weien gave a disdainful smile. "Do you take me for a three-year-old?"
