Exotic

What the people of the Red Group didn't know was that stopping only meant dying faster.

Seeing them stop, the Pyramid member inside the black sedan behind them curled his lips into a slight smile. He opened the car door and, under the incredulous gazes of the Red Group members, stepped out with an RPG on his shoulder.

They were instantly dumbfounded. If they hadn't stopped, they might have had a slim chance of survival, but now, stopping had turned them into sitting ducks.

"Baka! Go, move!"

Having lost all will to resist, their faces turned pale with fear as they scrambled to get away.

But it was too late. A rocket, trailing white smoke, flew toward them.

Bang—!

An explosion rang out, and one of the cars was instantly engulfed in flames. Seeing this, the surrounding civilians hid themselves one after another, terrified that they might be the next target.

"Go over and see if there are any survivors."

Looking at the now quiet scene, he pulled the launcher back into the car and spoke to the driver.

Out of the six Red Group members in the two cars, only three remained, lying on the ground wailing. They were covered in blood, clearly severely injured.

As for the other three, they had been turned into corpses.

Seeing the targets lying on the ground in agony, the Pyramid members didn't say a word, firing shots to put them out of their misery. Not only that, even the three corpses were each shot twice, as if they were afraid the targets weren't dead enough.

Meanwhile, the Sakura Police from behind were gradually approaching on bicycles.

"The cyclists are here. I have to admire their professional spirit; chasing us all this way must be exhausting. Let's help them take a rest."

"Hehe, leave it to me."

The driver grinned upon hearing this. With a beautiful fishtail drift, he turned the car around to face the Sakura Police and slammed the accelerator to the floor, charging toward them.

Seeing this, the Sakura Police were so frightened they abandoned their bicycles and scrambled to get away.

Unfortunately, before they could run far, the sedan drifted, sending their bicycles flying toward them. A few unlucky souls couldn't dodge in time and were knocked to the ground.

"Alright, those dogs will be here soon."

"Copy that!"

The driver, hearing this, showed off his driving skills once more before speeding away, quickly disappearing from sight.

Only after the commotion died down did the surrounding crowd dare to peek out. Looking at the exploded vehicle on the road and the motionless figures lying on the ground, they couldn't help but swallow hard.

A couple watched the scene with lingering fear. Despite having lived in Sakura for so long, this was the first time they had witnessed such a situation.

While they occasionally saw gang fights, it was truly rare to see something like this where even a rocket launcher was used.

"Damn, it seems Sakura isn't safe either. They're starting to play out Fast and Furious on the streets."

"Baby, how about we go back? The gangs here are too scary, they even use rocket launchers."

"Go back? It's not time yet. We haven't earned enough money. What would we do if we went back? What can a monthly salary of three or four thousand do? After paying for rent, utilities, oil, salt, and instant noodles, you end up working for nothing at the end of the month."

"Don't worry, we've been here for a year and this is the first time we've encountered this. Once a year is acceptable. Don't think too much. Let's work for two more years before going back. Then we can take the money to our hometown, build a house, set up a fish pond, and raise some chickens, ducks, and geese. It's better than working for someone else for a lifetime back home. You don't make any money, but you end up with plenty of illnesses."

The woman felt that her boyfriend's words made a lot of sense.

"By the way, baby, how about we find a few Sakura girls and start live-streaming? The money comes fast that way. Maybe we could earn enough in just a few months."

The man's eyes lit up. "That makes sense! Let's go, let's go to the Red Light District to scout around. If it's feasible, we'll set up a company, bring them all back to our country, and let the fans appreciate some exotic customs."

"Yeah, then we can set up a fish pond in our hometown and build a stage by the pond for them. It'll attract many old anglers to come fishing. They can watch Sakura girls and fish at the same time. We'll also set up a homestay and a small restaurant—a full one-stop service."

The man got more excited the more he thought about it. "Wife, you really are my lucky star. You're so smart!"

Hearing the word 'wife,' the woman looked full of happiness. "Oh, stop it! Who's your wife? You haven't even proposed to me yet."

"Hehe, don't worry, I'll propose as soon as we get back. Let's go, let's go to the Red Light District. If things go smoothly, we might not even need a year to earn enough to go back. It would be best if we could go back for the New Year this year."

Not long after, several police cars drove up. Looking at the scene, the officers' eyelids twitched. Good grief, these people were truly audacious to be so arrogant in broad daylight.

"Go check if anyone is still alive."

"Hai!"

A moment later, the news came back that none of the six had survived. After verifying their identities, one person was identified as a member of the Red Group.

"Red Group? It seems they escaped from there. Forget it, notify the crew to collect the bodies. We're heading back!"

Knowing these people were members of the Red Group, they didn't even bother to investigate. It was nothing more than a feud between factions; there was nothing worth looking into.

Meanwhile!

Inside an ancient castle far away in Europe!

In a magnificent living room, a man sat on a sofa, holding his phone and speaking with a look of displeasure, "What! The Red Group has been wiped out? Who did it?"

This made the person on the other end of the line tremble with fear. "It was... it was the people from the Pyramid."

Hearing it was the Pyramid, the man's brow furrowed. He hung up the phone and muttered to himself, "Pyramid? What do they want?"

The Red Group was an assassin organization they had operated for many years. Just when they were finally becoming useful, they were actually wiped out, and so quickly at that.

This Pyramid was proving to be troublesome. Furthermore, he still couldn't understand why the Pyramid wanted to protect Singapore's Minister of Defense.

Could the Pyramid have been created by the Singaporean authorities? As soon as the thought appeared, he immediately dismissed it.

If that were true, it would be far too obvious. But one thing was certain: the Pyramid's existence was not for money. After all, they had remained unmoved in the face of five billion us dollars.

To say they existed for money was simply impossible.

Suddenly remembering something, he turned to ask the castle's butler, "What's the situation with Dr. Allen? Has he still not found the people who attacked our research base?"

"Patriarch, no news has come in regarding that. Those people seem to have vanished into thin air without a single trace."

Hearing this result, the man couldn't help but feel irritable.

Everything had been going fine, and his vacation had been going well. But because of the Dark Web incident, he had been forced to end his vacation early.

Without the trump card that was the Dark Web, they were half-blind. Then came the attack on the base, and now the Red Group. One thing after another—it was truly a headache.

He felt as if there was a giant hand behind the scenes manipulating everything, yet there were no tracks to follow.
