Sakura Country Assassin
On the other hand, when the woman approached, a unique fragrance wafted over to the yellow-haired man. In the past, he probably wouldn't have been able to resist reaching out, but that wasn't an option now; his life was in someone else's hands.
Thinking about how the Prince wasn't actually at the club gave him a headache. As a result, he still had to stick around the Hydra member.
This made him feel incredibly insecure, yet he had no other choice.
With an expression that looked worse than crying, he thought, "Damn it, what kind of situation is this? Out of so many people, why did they have to pick me?"
Thinking this, he felt absolutely terrible. He waved his hand to push the woman away and said impatiently, "Get lost, I'm busy right now."
Upon hearing this, the woman's eyes darted around as if she realized something. She then turned her gaze toward the man beside him, leaning in as she said, "Oh? You're a new face, handsome. I don't think I've seen you before, ah~"
Suddenly, she twisted her ankle and lunged forward, appearing as if she were about to fall into the man's arms. Just then, a flash of cold light appeared.
The man quickly stepped back twice, but even so, a small scratch was still left on his face. He raised his hand to wipe the blood from the wound and said calmly, "A blade hidden in the sleeve? When did the assassins of Sakura Country fall so low that they're acting as doormen?"
The woman's expression changed upon hearing this. She stared straight at the man in front of her and said in a chilling tone, "Who are you? Let me give you a piece of advice: the Prince is not someone you can touch."
The yellow-haired man to the side was stunned, clearly unable to snap out of the sudden turn of events.
At this moment, his mind was filled with confusion. What Japanese assassin? This woman in front of him was an assassin? No way. If she had wanted to kill him earlier, wouldn't he be drinking Meng Po's soup by now?
No wonder Brother Prince stayed here every night; it seemed he had her as a personal bodyguard. Wait...
Does that mean Brother Prince has connections, or perhaps a partnership, with forces from Sakura Country?
It wasn't just him; the other receptionist at the club was also dumbfounded. The person she worked with was actually an assassin?
How was this any different from having a bomb beside her? Thinking of this, she couldn't help but search her memory to see if she had ever offended her.
On the other hand, the Hydra member's eyes lit up upon hearing the woman's words. "Heh, in that case, I don't need to go looking for that Prince anymore. You know more than he does."
As he strode forward, the woman held her knife horizontally in front of her. A battle was imminent, but her skills were nothing more than flashy, useless moves in front of the man. The soft blade in her hand was sharp, but it couldn't harm him in the slightest.
Without exception, all of her attacks were skillfully dodged, and he remained completely at ease.
This left her too shocked to speak. Although she wouldn't claim to be incredibly powerful, she had naturally been trained to become an assassin for the organization.
Yet even so, in front of the man before her, she felt like a clown.
Just as she was distracted, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She immediately clutched it, unable to straighten up, as if her period had arrived with her entire extended family to wreak havoc; the pain was so intense she couldn't breathe.
Her face turned pale, and she looked up at the man in disbelief. It was hard to imagine just how much strength he had to be able to instantly incapacitate her with a single punch.
The man ignored the expression on her face. He stepped forward, grabbed her hands, and gave them a forceful twist. With a crisp crack, both of her arms instantly went numb.
The pain caused her delicate face to contort, and the yellow-haired man to the side felt his scalp tingle at the sight.
Too ruthless, too cruel, too... ah... no, it's just broken hands, they can still be used!
He thought to himself: I can't keep following him. Otherwise, if he gets unhappy one day and does the same to me—hiss—just thinking about it makes me shudder.
He then looked at the man with a full smile and asked cautiously, "Th-that... Big Brother, since you don't need to find the Prince anymore, can I leave now?"
"What do you think?"
Upon hearing this, the yellow-haired man's mood plummeted. Seeing the man's expression, he could only say sheepishly, "Th-then, alright!"
The man glanced at the woman collapsed on the ground and pulled out his phone to make a call.
A few minutes later, a black SUV pulled up to the entrance of the club.
Seeing him carry a woman into the car, the driver seemed to have discovered a new world. "Wait, you came here to look for women? Didn't the leader tell you to find the person selling washing powder?"
As he said this, his gaze glanced at the yellow-haired man on the side. His eyes widened, and he exclaimed, "No way, finding a woman is one thing, but you're also finding men? You aren't an omnivorous guy who swings both ways, are you?"
"You're talking too much. This woman is an assassin from Sakura Country."
Upon hearing this, the driver involuntarily wiped the smile from his face and said seriously, "You mean to say that there are forces from Sakura Country behind this?"
"It's highly likely. Alright, hurry up and drive. I need to see the leader."
"We definitely need to see the leader, but who is this guy? A lackey you picked up?"
"Him? A small-time thug who sells washing powder."
Upon hearing he was a seller of washing powder, the driver's expression darkened instantly. He turned his head to glance at the yellow-haired man and then slammed on the gas, speeding away.
The yellow-haired man sat in the backseat, not daring to move. The cold gaze the driver had given him earlier made him feel as if he had fallen into an ice cave, chilling him to the bone.
He thought: What kind of people are in this Hydra? It's too damn scary. I don't want to be in this business anymore; I want to go home.
He felt like he had the worst luck. With so many people selling washing powder under the Prince, why was he the unlucky one to be targeted by Hydra?
He had originally thought that just leading them to the Prince would be enough, but who would have thought that a Japanese assassin would pop up halfway through?
If she had won, he might have been able to escape his current predicament. Unfortunately, this idiot assassin was all show and no substance; her aura looked intimidating, but she ended up being knocked down by a single punch.
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but curse inwardly: You can't even take a single punch, what kind of assassin are you? As expected, Japanese women are all the same—failing before even putting in any effort.
As soon as they move, they just know how to shout "Dame, dame, dame~"
Meanwhile! Inside a hospital on Hong Kong Island!
In a luxury hospital room, Li Yangqing sat on the hospital bed, glaring at the two people in front of him and cursing, "Useless! You're all useless! You can't even handle this small matter."
"Young Master Li, this isn't our fault. We couldn't even get through the front door of the police station. We couldn't just force our way in, could we?"
"Exactly. And it seems they've imposed martial law inside; there are many armed police standing guard. Even when we used the Li family's name, it didn't work. They simply wouldn't let us in."
Li Yangqing didn't believe a word they said. He knew exactly what kind of status Huang Lin had. Furthermore, the fact that he had used a gun to injure someone was an ironclad fact.
Under the pressure of the Li family, it was impossible for a small police chief to dare to shield that guy.
The more he thought about it, the more his head hurt. Damn you, Huang Lin. Since the direct approach won't work, then I'll use the shadows. You dare to injure me? I won't let you leave Hong Kong Island alive.
