112: 112. Yu Tianxiong comes to Jiangcheng University

Back in his dorm, Zhang Wenfa lay on his bed, still feeling quite bewildered. He thought of Chairman Xu Ting from before, and now he had seen the big star Wang Yuxi tonight.

He realized that Lu Feng was surrounded by high-quality women. In comparison, while Lin Wanqiu was good, she was much more naive compared to the two older sisters.

Zhang Wenfa felt a pang of jealousy, envying him greatly. But a faint sense of unease also settled in his heart. He had previously guessed that Lu Feng was being kept by Xu Ting, but how could someone being kept know a big star like Wang Yuxi?

Could it be that Wang Yuxi, like Xu Ting, was also keeping Lu Feng?

What the hell? Could that kid... be exceptionally gifted in certain areas?

This guess was quickly discarded. These two were not ordinary people; their status, wealth, and vision were extremely high. How could they do such a thing? It simply didn't make sense.

Could it be that Lu Feng... has some incredible background that I don't know about?

That night, Zhang Wenfa lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

On the other side, the girls' dorm was also sleepless. Tonight's impact was too great for them. As soon as they got into bed, the four of them couldn't help but start discussing, with Lu Feng naturally at the center of their conversation.

Song Xiaowan, who had always looked down on Lu Feng, couldn't help but ask Lin Wanqiu for details, as she seemed to be the only one in the dorm who knew him relatively well.

"Wanqiu, you've interacted with him more. Did he... really not reveal anything? Like what his family does?"

Lin Wanqiu leaned against her headboard and shook her head helplessly, "I really don't know. I haven't interacted with him much, and he's neverinitiative brought up anything about himself. Even when asked, he always glosses over it lightly, or dismisses it with a 'met by chance' like tonight."

Hearing her answer, Song Xiaowan fell into thought. The rich second-generation Li Shuai from the next class was currently pursuing her, constantly talking about luxury watches, fancy cars, and his family's annual income of tens of millions. Before, she would listen, mesmerized and deeply moved.

But now, for some reason, she couldn't help but compare him to Lu Feng.

She suddenly felt that Li Shuai's words and actions carried an indescribable... immaturity and superficiality. Time quickly moved to mid-September, and as the military training was about to end, the school atmosphere also softened.

Lu Feng's university life gradually became stable. Every day, he was either in his dorm or in the classroom, listening to the counselor explain the school's course selection system, graduation credit requirements, and school rules and mottoes, among other things.

Then, whenever he had time, he would go to the piano room to rehearse with Jiao Lu.

"Today is the last on-site rehearsal. There's only one run-through, and then tonight, at the freshman welcoming gala, everything will be over," Jiao Lu said, her tone much more relaxed as they walked along a campus path.

Lu Feng, beside her, nodded. He felt pretty much the same way.

However, to be fair, participating in these vibrant campus activities had provided him with a good sense of relaxation amidst the intense strategic planning for his career.

He was, after all, only a young man in his early twenties. Every step he had taken so far was like dancing on a knife's edge, and the pressure was considerable.

If he completely abandoned university life and operated like an emotionless business machine, he felt he would eventually go crazy.

This kind of ordinary student life was, instead, a necessary adjustment.

"Ugh, I wonder if that annoying guy is here today?" Jiao Lu grumbled.

Lu Feng naturally knew who she was talking about: Zhang Zhanpeng, the vice-director of the Arts Department.

He had always heard that some people in university student unions liked to put on airs, took their power very seriously, and enjoyed ordering new students around to satisfy their vanity. He hadn't expected them to actually encounter one.

Recently, Lin Wanqiu seemed to be busy with other important matters, so it was often this Vice-Director Zhang who supervised and guided the new students' program rehearsals.

As the piano accompanist, Lu Feng naturally received his share of "guidance."

Of course, these were all trivial matters that he didn't take to heart, but Jiao Lu, as a freshman, was a bit anxious.

Lu Feng smiled and comforted her, "Don't mind him, just do your own thing."

The two arrived at the Grand Auditorium. It was bustling inside, with busy figures everywhere on the stage. Various types of programs were being rehearsed in an orderly fashion. Since the programs had already been finalized, it was now just a matter of going through the motions, so the teachers were not present; people from the student union were organizing it.

Jiao Lu immediately saw Zhang Zhanpeng, looking very important, directing on stage. She immediately pouted, "Look, it's him again. Always showing off."

Lu Feng chuckled wryly.

Soon, it was their turn to go on stage. After one run-through, the effect was quite good, at least much improved from before.

Just as Lu Feng was about to go off stage with Jiao Lu to rest, Zhang Zhanpeng, who had been watching with his arms crossed nearby, shook his head and walked over. His gaze fell directly on Lu Feng, and he said in a feigned deep tone, "This student playing the piano, what you just played... hmm, the technique is fine, but the emotion is still a bit bland, and the sense of immersion is weak! This is the welcoming gala; we need to show the passion of our university students! You still need to be more serious!"

As soon as he said this, many freshmen waiting for rehearsal below the stage began to whisper.

"Here he goes again, here he goes again, this guy's starting again!"

"I'm fed up. He plays so well, but he just has to nitpick!"

"He just loves to give random directions and show off! It's so annoying!"

"You're lucky. A few days ago, a senior who was singing was 'guided' by him a few times and almost forgot how to sing. Later, the teacher even reprimanded him..."

"Seeing him just annoys me. He has no real ability, he just pretends to be a leader in front of us freshmen. What's he pretending for!"

Lu Feng stopped, looked at Zhang Zhanpeng, and with a calm smile still on his face, said, "I don't think there's any problem with my performance; it's enough to match the mood of the recitation."

Zhang Zhanpeng's brow immediately furrowed. He hadn't expected this freshman to dare to openly defy him, making him lose face.

He glanced at the whispering freshmen around him, feeling a bit embarrassed, and his tone became even more rigid: "What do you know? Our student union's programs represent the school's image and its highest standards! As a vice-director, I will not tolerate any perfunctory attitude! If you continue to be uncooperative, then I can only inform the supervising teacher!"

He deliberately emphasized the words "vice-director" and "teacher," wanting to exert pressure with his identity and authority.

The title of vice-director still had some deterrent effect on freshmen, and coupled with being an upperclassman, the murmurs from below the stage indeed quieted down.

Lu Feng wanted to laugh. After experiencing so many things, he found this kind of childish bickering ridiculous, as childish as playing house.

Just as he was about to say something, Lin Wanqiu walked in from the entrance and said, "The overall effect of the program is fine. Junior Lu Feng is only accompanying the recitation; there's no need to show off skill."

Her voice was decisive and brooked no argument.

Then she nodded to Lu Feng and said, "The coordination is very good now. This is fine."

Zhang Zhanpeng was publicly contradicted, and he looked a bit embarrassed. "Wanqiu, I know you play the piano well, but..."

Lin Wanqiu waved her hand and said in a calm tone, "Knowing that is enough. I believe the supervising teacher and I are of the same opinion. Also, I'm here to find you because the Student Union Presidium has important matters that require manpower. Come with me."

She paused, then added, "This is... requested by the school leadership."

Hearing this, Zhang Zhanpeng swallowed the rebuttal that was on the tip of his tongue. He gave Lin Wanqiu a deep look, then glanced at Lu Feng, snorted coldly, and turned to leave.

As Lin Wanqiu passed by Lu Feng, she playfully stuck out her tongue at him and whispered, "Don't mind him, I won't let him mess around."

Her words carried a hint of "I've got your back."

After saying that, she hurried away.

Lu Feng watched her retreating figure, naturally knowing why the student union was suddenly so busy.

Today, Yu Tianxiong was coming to Jiangcheng University to discuss cooperation...
