137: Chapter 137 The Loss Was Not Unjustified

Tianxuan Star Sector, Qinglin Province, Chu Family Main City.

Thirty million people leaped from their seats, erupting in earth-shattering cheers.

"He won! Su Bai won! The dark horse won!"

"Third place in the Tianshu Star Sector! Top ten in the country! Su Bai blew Bei Chenyao away!"

"Netherworld! Netherworld! Netherworld!"

On the provincial capital's observation deck, Chu Zhentian's fingers finally relaxed from the armrest.

He stood up and walked to the edge of the deck, looking at the grey-white figure on the light screen.

The corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

"Good."

It was just one word, but the emotion contained within it made all the Creators behind him stand up.

Chu Kuangren's mouth hung open, and the wine bottle in his hand finally fell to the ground, shattering into pieces.

"Holy..." His voice was trembling, "Holy crap... Bei Chenyao... top ten in the country... blown away by Su Bai..."

In a corner of the observation deck, Lin Canglan stood in the shadows, watching Su Bai's back on the light screen as tears silently fell.

She smiled.

On the other side of the deck, the Old Principal opened his eyes, his smile brighter than ever before.

Tianshu Star Sector, Beichen Province, Star Gazing Platform.

Bei Chenyuan sat in the front row of the observation deck, looking at the young man on the light screen who had just tapped to surrender, and remained silent for a long time.

Behind him, dozens of the Bei Chen Family's direct descendants, branch members, and retainers were all deathly silent.

No one dared to speak.

Bei Chenyuan finally spoke, his voice as calm as water.

"Yao'er lost."

He paused.

"It was a good loss."

Everyone behind him was stunned.

Bei Chenyuan stood up, walked to the edge of the deck, and looked up at the brilliant starry sky.

"The Power of Laws was born in a Sixth-Order world... Six Paths of Reincarnation... It can even devour Seventh-Order power..." he said softly. "This Su Bai is a monster."

He turned around and looked at his dumbfounded clansmen.

"From today onwards, the Bei Chen Family is forbidden from being Su Bai's enemy. If anyone dares to offend him, get out of the Bei Chen Family yourself."

No one dared to speak.

Bei Chenyuan withdrew his gaze and looked at the grey-white figure on the light screen, a trace of complex emotion flashing through his deep blue eyes.

"Yao'er, there is no shame in losing to someone like that."

Tianshu Star Sector, Zhongzhou Province, Di Family Ancestral Land.

Di Wudao sat at the edge of the observation deck, staring at the win-loss information for match 008 on the light screen for a long time.

The cup of tea in his hand had already gone cold.

An old servant stood behind him and whispered, "Young Master, Su Bai won."

"I saw." Di Wudao's voice was very low, as if squeezed out of his chest.

He set down the teacup, stood up, and walked to the edge of the deck.

"Six Paths of Reincarnation... Power of Laws..." he said softly, the corners of his mouth curling into a miniscule arc. "Su Bai, you are more interesting than I imagined."

He turned and walked back into the hall, his voice dissipating in the wind.

"The Points Race... I can't wait."

Tianxuan Star Sector, Tianji Province, Sword Dao World.

Jun Luoyu sat cross-legged in his world pod, the light screen in front of him frozen on the final frame.

The moment the pillar of light from the Six Paths of Reincarnation devoured the stars.

He watched it three times.

Then he closed his eyes, his fingers lightly tapping on his knees as if playing an invisible sword.

"Power of Laws..." he said softly, his voice like the hum of a sword. "The Power of Laws was born in a Sixth-Order world... This Su Bai, his sword is even faster than mine."

He opened his eyes, a spark of battle intent flashing within them.

"The Points Race, I want to fight him."

Tianquan Star Sector, Guixu Province, Ye Family Ancestral Land.

Ye Qingxue stood by the ancient well, looking at Su Bai's name on the light screen. Her left eye was as black as ink, and her right eye was as white as snow.

The corners of her mouth curled up slightly, the curve wider than any time before.

"Su Bai..." she whispered. "You really did pass this stage."

She turned back to the ancient well, looking down at the chaos within.

"The Points Race, I can't wait."

Above the Tianyuan Arena, the aftershocks of match 008 had not yet dissipated.

Silver-white stardust still drifted in the void, and grey-white Yin Qi was slowly retreating to the borders of the Netherworld World. The remnants of the two powers intertwined in the void, like an abstract painting of grey-white and silver-white.

Su Bai stood in the center of the world pod, looking at the world bridge closing opposite him. Bei Chenyao's figure gradually blurred in the silver-white light before completely disappearing.

He withdrew his gaze and looked down at his hand.

In his palm, there was a tiny crack.

It was a mark left by the backlash of the Power of Laws when the Six Paths of Reincarnation devoured the ninth star. It wasn't deep, but it was clear, like a dried-up riverbed extending from the lifeline in his palm to his wrist.

He clenched his fist, and the crack disappeared between his fingers.

The door of the world pod opened. Silver-white light flooded in from outside, illuminating every corner of the pod.

Su Bai walked out of the world pod and stepped onto the pillar of light for the winner's passage. Grey-white Yin Qi swirled around him, intertwining with the silver-white light to form a strange yet harmonious scene.

The pillar of light slowly rose, carrying him toward the winners bracket lounge.

Along the way, he passed the doors of other world pods. Some were open, some were closed. In the open pods, some Creators were celebrating victory, some were reviewing their battles, and some were silently cleaning up the aftermath.

In the closed pods, those Creators had already left. They had gone to the Loser's Bracket or simply went home.

At the end of the pillar of light, the winners bracket lounge appeared before him again.

In that silver-white circular building, less than four hundred points of light were still lit.

From the three thousand people in the Final Selection, fifteen hundred were eliminated in the first round, seven hundred and fifty in the second, and three hundred and seventy-five in the third.

Su Bai stepped onto the platform of the lounge, the silver-white metal floor vibrating slightly beneath his feet. He walked along the circular corridor toward his own room, passing several half-open doors.

Inside the doors, some Creators were reviewing battle recordings, some were adjusting their world cores, and some were staring blankly at light screens.

No one spoke.

Su Bai reached the door of room 019 and pushed it open.

The door closed behind him.

The room was very quiet. The light screen displayed the list of those promoted to the Points Race, with three hundred and seventy-five names neatly arranged.

Su Bai's gaze swept over the names and stopped at the ninth position.

[Su Bai, Tianxuan Star Sector · Qinglin Province, Netherworld World, Sixth-Order, Promoted to Points Race.]

Above him was Di Wudao. Below him was Jun Luoyu.

He withdrew his gaze, sat down on the sofa, and closed his eyes.

His consciousness sank into the Netherworld World.
