29: Chapter 29 Soul Reaper

They glanced at each other, then descended simultaneously, landing before Su Bai and kneeling on one knee.

Two voices, one gentle and one deep, spoke in unison, sounding as if a single person were speaking.

Su Bai nodded: "From now on, they are under the command of you brothers."

White Impermanence accepted with a smile.

Black Impermanence remained expressionless, but his gaze toward the Soul-Hooking Ghosts showed satisfaction.

The Ghost Bride floated over, curiously sizing up these newcomers.

"Soul-Hooking Ghosts... can you really hook souls? Can you hook mine?"

One Soul-Hooking Ghost raised its head to look at her, a trace of confusion flashing in its eerie eyes.

It shook its head.

The Ghost Bride laughed even more happily.

Sadako still stood by the well, motionless, but her gaze through her long hair fell upon the Soul-Hooking Ghosts.

The Slit-Mouthed Woman held her scissors, silently watching everything.

The Mushroom King stood at the edge of the Mycelium Deep Forest, his purple eyes watching the black-and-white figures as he murmured to himself:

"The Netherworld... is becoming more and more lively..."

Su Bai stood at the world core, watching all of this.

Ghost King, Black and White Impermanence, Ghost Bride, Sadako, Slit-Mouthed Woman, Mushroom King.
