50: Chapter 50 The Evolution of the Three Major Races

Less than an hour for the three worlds combined.

Su Bai stood on the ruins of the third world, watching the scorched black earth being devoured by the Netherworld World, his expression calm.

Behind him, sixty thousand units were regrouping.

The Ghost King still hovered in mid-air, his golden vertical pupils fixed on the distant collapsing horizon.

Suddenly, his body trembled slightly.

Su Bai turned his head to look at him.

The aura emanating from the Ghost King was soaring wildly.

Fourth-order peak.

Breakthrough.

Fifth-order.

An invisible pressure erupted from the Ghost King as the center, instantly sweeping across the entire ruins. The pressure was so immense that all the regrouping units knelt and prostrated on the ground, causing the soul fires of the Death Knights that had not yet completely dissipated to extinguish instantly, and even the collapsing horizon paused for a moment.

The Ghost King opened his eyes.

Those golden vertical pupils now appeared even more profound and majestic. Deep within the pupils, one could faintly see countless vengeful spirits wailing, struggling, and submitting. And at the very depths of the pupils, the faint, looming shadow of a massive gate could be seen.

Ghost Gate Pass.

He descended from mid-air, landed before Su Bai, and knelt on one knee.

"Master."

Su Bai looked down at him, new information surfacing in his consciousness.

[Ghost King (Hero Unit)]

[Tier: Fifth-order]

[Grade: Six-star]

[Skills: Ghost Kings Pressure (active), Ten Thousand Ghosts Submission (passive), Ghostly Qi Avatar (active), Nether Slash (active), Immortal and Indestructible (passive), Ghost Domain (active), Yellow Spring Road (active), Ghost Gate Pass (passive/unique)]

[New: ghost king sword fully fused, can be summoned at any time]

Fifth-order.

The first fifth-order unit of the Netherworld World.

The corner of Su Bai's mouth lifted slightly.

He turned his head to look at the other side.

Ox-Head and Horse-Face stood side by side there, their auras also surging.

First-order.

Second-order.

Third-order.

[Ox-Head and Horse-Face Promotion: First-order → Third-order]

Ox-Head's muscles became even more knotted, and strange golden patterns began to appear on his massive horns. Horse-Face's body grew more slender, and his long, narrow horse-face gained an indescribable air of majesty.

They also knelt on one knee.

"We thank the Master."

Su Bai nodded slightly, saying nothing.

He closed his eyes, his consciousness sinking into the world core.

[Devouring Complete ×3]

[Power Of Faith obtained: 3100 points]

[World diameter expansion: 628 kilometers → 1060 kilometers]

[New maps generated: Demon Scorched Earth, Ferocious Beast Forest, Death Plain]

[Detected highest unit tier in the world has increased: Fourth-order → Fifth-order]

[World level increased: Fourth-order → Fifth-order]

[Yin Qi concentration increased: 800%]

[World diameter expansion condition: Requires devouring new worlds]

[New effects: Can support units up to fifth-order and below. Higher-tier units' recovery speed within Yin Qi is greatly increased. All Netherworld units receive 'Yin Energy Affinity' effect bonus ×2]

[All units' perception increased: Can perceive purer Yin Qi. Skill effects increased by 50%]

Grayish-white Yin Qi surged forth wildly from the world core as if boiling, sweeping across every inch of land.

The Yin Qi on the Yaksha Wasteland grew denser, and the skeletal remains there began to tremble faintly.

The Yin Qi crystals on the Crimson Blood Scorched Earth began to glow, and the flowing liquid Yin Qi became even more concentrated.

The mushrooms in the Mycelium Deep Forest began to grow frantically; mushrooms that were originally over a hundred meters tall now grew to two hundred meters.

Space within the Shadow Demon Abyss began to distort, and the shadow demons felt their power soaring wildly.

The wind and snow on the Extreme Cold Ice Plains became even more violent. The bodies of the Ice Crystals grew more transparent and harder.

The three golden characters on the plaque of the Hall of Impermanence grew even more dazzling.

All units knelt and prostrated on the ground, feeling the power surging within them.

Su Bai stood at the world core, watching all of this, and nodded in satisfaction.

He looked down at the remaining Power Of Faith.

[Current Power Of Faith: 3100 points]

He sighed, his consciousness sinking into the world core again. Though not much, it was enough.

[Time flow rate adjustment]

Three maps, evolving simultaneously.

Su Bai stood at the world core, closed his eyes, divided his consciousness into three parts, and simultaneously sank into those three accelerating worlds.

...

Mycelium Deep Forest, five hundred years.

Twenty thousand Mushroom People, reproduction cycle three months, five hundred years, two thousand generations.

In the first hundred years, the Mushroom People's population grew from twenty thousand to fifty thousand.

But the Mushroom People race did not stop there.

Those ordinary Mushroom People began to undergo subtle changes over the course of two thousand generations of iteration.

The color of their caps grew darker, gradually shifting from grayish-white to dark gray. The potency of their spores grew stronger, evolving from simple slowing and poisoning to being able to erode souls, spread fear, and heal companions.

In the third hundred years, the number of third-order Mushroom People reached ten.

In the fourth hundred years, it reached thirty.

In the fifth hundred years, it reached fifty.

And the Mushroom People's population grew from fifty thousand to one hundred thousand.

One hundred thousand Mushroom People built hundreds of mushroom cities in the Mycelium Deep Forest, developing a complete civilization system. They had writing, art, religion, a military, and a trade network.

The Mushroom King remained their king.

But his strength finally broke through.

The faith of one hundred thousand Mushroom People, the willpower of one hundred thousand tribesmen, forcefully pushed him from third-order peak to fourth-order.

For the Mushroom King, who was only four-star, reaching fourth-order was his limit.

He stood atop the largest mushroom city at the center of the Mycelium Deep Forest, his purple eyes piercing through the mist, gazing in the direction of the world core.

He knew the Creator was watching them.

He knelt.

Behind him, one hundred thousand Mushroom People knelt simultaneously.

...

Shadow Demon Abyss, five hundred years.

Thirty thousand shadow demons, reproduction cycle six months, five hundred years, one thousand generations.

Shadow Blade remained their prophet. He had already been fourth-order four-star five hundred years ago. After five hundred years, his strength grew even more unfathomable, but he still had not broken through to fifth-order.

Fourth-order peak.

His potential ceiling was fourth-order four-star. Fifth-order was an insurmountable chasm for him.

But the shadow demon population grew from thirty thousand to one hundred twenty thousand.

One hundred twenty thousand shadow demons completely transformed the Shadow Demon Abyss into a massive underground city.

Tens of thousands of caves were carved into the abyss walls, layered upon each other like an inverted giant tower. Each layer had different functions: the lowest level housed the Elder Council, the middle levels were residential areas, and the upper levels were training grounds and outposts.

They developed complete Space Folding technology, allowing them to teleport arbitrarily within the abyss. They developed a shadow energy cultivation system, enabling every shadow demon to have the chance to advance to third-order.

In the tenth year, the first third-order shadow demon was born.

In the first hundred years, the number of third-order shadow demons reached one hundred.

In the third hundred years, it reached three hundred.

In the fifth hundred years, it reached five hundred.

Shadow Blade stood on the black rock at the deepest part of the abyss, his grayish-white eyes piercing through space, gazing in the direction of the world core.

He knew the Creator was watching them.

He knelt.

Behind him, one hundred twenty thousand shadow demons knelt simultaneously.

...

Extreme Cold Ice Plains, five hundred years.

Eight thousand Ice Crystals, unknown reproduction cycle, five hundred years.

The reproduction method of the Ice Crystals was completely different from other races.

They did not give birth or reproduce via spores; they were birthed from frost cores. But the number of frost cores was limited. Birthing one Ice Crystal consumed one core.

Therefore, the population growth of the Ice Crystals was extremely slow.

In the first hundred years, the number of Ice Crystals grew from eight thousand to ten thousand.

In the second hundred years, it grew to thirteen thousand.

In the third hundred years, it grew to sixteen thousand.

In the fourth hundred years, it grew to nineteen thousand.

In the fifth hundred years, it grew to twenty-three thousand.

Twenty-three thousand Ice Crystals built a massive ice crystal castle on the Extreme Cold Ice Plains. The castle stood a thousand meters high, entirely transparent, shining brilliantly amidst the grayish-white mist.

The Frost King remained their king.

His strength broke through from third-order peak to fourth-order.

Also fourth-order four-star, also his potential ceiling.

Those ordinary Ice Crystals also began to differentiate during the five hundred years of evolution. Some excelled in close combat, their bodies solidified like blades; some excelled in ranged attacks, able to coalesce ice blade storms; some excelled in defense, able to form ice crystal shields; some excelled in support, able to use Ice Crystals to heal companions.

In the third hundred years, the first third-order Ice Crystal was born.

In the fourth hundred years, the number of third-order Ice Crystals reached ten.

In the fifth hundred years, it reached thirty.

The Frost King stood atop the ice crystal castle, his silver eyes piercing through the wind and snow, gazing in the direction of the world core.

He knew the Creator was watching them.

He knelt.

Behind him, twenty-three thousand Ice Crystals knelt simultaneously.
