21: Chapter 21 Devouring the Crimson Blood Realm, Introducing New Species

In just three short hours, Su Bai's Netherworld army had completely swept through the entire Crimson Blood Realm.

Even the most powerful Rank 3 leader was killed along with them.

However, this time, Su Bai intentionally left several hundred captives.

He nodded with satisfaction and raised his hand, the mark of the Netherworld World appearing on his palm.

Greyish-white light surged from the mark like countless tentacles, probing into the scorched earth of the Crimson Blood Realm.

The devouring begins.

Su Bai stood in the center of the battlefield, his raised hand remaining in place.

He closed his eyes, his consciousness having fully submerged into the core of the Netherworld World.

[Devouring started]

[Target World: Crimson Blood Realm (Rank 3)]

[Target World Diameter: Approximately 120 kilometers]

[Current World: Netherworld (Rank 3)]

[Current World Diameter: 39 kilometers]

[Devouring Feasibility: High (Target world has no effective resistance remaining)]

[Estimated Devouring Time: Unknown]

The system notification sounded in his mind, but Su Bai ignored it.

He was sensing it.

He felt the Netherworld World tearing through the barriers of the Crimson Blood Realm bit by bit; he felt the greyish-white Yin Qi frantically flooding into this dying world, and he felt everything within the Crimson Blood Realm being decomposed, absorbed, and transformed into a part of the Netherworld.

The distant volcano collapsed with a roar.

Those craters that had erupted for countless years were now forcibly torn apart by the greyish-white Yin Qi, turning into countless fragments and being sucked into the gaping rift.

The nearby ruins began to churn, the broken walls rising and falling like ocean waves; countless half-orc skeletons were unearthed from underground, also turning into fragments of light to be devoured by the rift.

Even the sky itself was shattering.

The dark red canopy was like shredded rags, peeling off piece by piece to reveal the greyish-white void behind it.

Heaven and earth were like an inverted funnel.

Everything.

The volcanoes, the ruins, the rivers of lava, the remains of the half-orcs, and even the half-orc wounded who hadn't died yet.

All were swept up, swirling and rising, finally turning into fragments of light and pouring into the small grey mark on Su Bai's palm.

It felt as if a long time had passed, yet also as if only an instant had gone by.

When the last wisp of the dark red canopy was torn and devoured, and the last patch of scorched earth was sucked into the rift, Su Bai finally opened his eyes.

In his palm, the mark was burning hot.

[Devouring complete]

[Obtained Power Of Faith: 728 points]

[World Diameter Expansion: 39 km → 88.8 km]

[New Map Generated: Crimson Blood Scorched Earth]

Su Bai lowered his head, looking at the map of the Netherworld World appearing in his palm.

The originally thirty-nine-kilometer greyish-white world had now expanded significantly outward.

The newly added nearly fifty kilometers were no longer composed of pure greyish-white Yin Qi.

Instead, it was a stretch of scorched earth.

A deathly silent scorched earth, strewn with skeletons and pierced by rivers of dark red lava.

Crimson Blood Scorched Earth.

The corners of Su Bai's mouth curled up slightly.

He raised his hand, his consciousness probing into the Netherworld World.

Within the greyish-white Yin Qi, that newly born scorched earth lay quietly at the edge of the Netherworld. Lava still flowed across the scorched earth, but it was no longer scorching hot; instead, it was greyish-white Yin Qi. Although the volcanoes had collapsed, small crystals of Yin Qi began to emerge within their ruins.

The only difference was that the canopy covering the scorched earth was no longer dark red, but had turned greyish-white like the rest of the Netherworld.

The Yin Qi was slowly seeping into every inch of the scorched earth, altering its very essence.

In a while, this scorched earth would be completely transformed into a part of the Yin Qi World.

When that time came, new buildings could be constructed here, and new Ghostly Creatures could be nurtured.

But Su Bai had not forgotten the other purpose of this trip.

He turned around and looked at the half-orcs on the battlefield who were not yet dead.

The Ghost Bride had held back when she struck, Sadako's Curse Spread had only covered most of them, and the Slit-Mouthed Woman's scissors had precisely avoided the young and strong individuals.

At this moment, several hundred half-orcs were still alive on the battlefield.

They lay limp on the ground, their eyes filled with fear and confusion.

Some were shivering, some were holding their heads and weeping, and some even knelt on the ground, kowtowing in Su Bai's direction.

Su Bai walked up to an exceptionally burly half-orc.

The half-orc was 2.3 meters tall, with knotted muscles and dark red skin covered in scars, looking like a battle-hardened warrior at a glance.

But now, he knelt on the ground, not even daring to raise his head.

Su Bai crouched down, raised his hand, and pressed it against the orc's forehead.

[Brand]

Greyish-white light surged from his palm, seeping into the depths of the half-orc's soul.

The half-orc's body suddenly stiffened, and intense pain appeared in his eyes. But the pain lasted only a few seconds before turning into confusion, then obedience, and finally, awe.

He raised his head and looked at Su Bai; his eyes no longer held the previous madness and ferocity.

Only awe.

And loyalty.

[Crimson-Blood Half-Orc Warrior]

[Rank: Rank 2]

[Grade: 2-Star]

[Status: Branded (Absolute Loyalty)]

[Description: A half-Orc Warrior from the Crimson Blood Realm, possessing extremely strong environmental tolerance and combat instincts. Has been branded by the Netherworld, becoming a Subordinate Race of the Netherworld World.]

Su Bai nodded with satisfaction.

He stood up and looked at the other half-orcs who were still alive.

"Those who can stand, follow me."

The half-orcs looked at each other, hesitated for a few seconds, and then one by one scrambled to their feet and walked over to kneel before Su Bai.

One.

Two.

Ten.

Fifty.

One hundred.

In the end, three hundred and seventy-three stood up.

Su Bai scanned these half-orcs, his gaze passing over them one by one.

There were old and young, strong and weak, male and female.

But every single one was alive.

Every single one could reproduce.

Every single one could become a seed for the civilization of the Netherworld World.

He turned around and walked toward the deep blue portal leading to the Netherworld World.

Behind him, the three hundred and seventy-three half-orcs followed in silence.

The Ghost Bride floated in mid-air, curiously watching these ugly big fellows as she drew close to Su Bai.

"Master, what are these?"

"The future residents of the Netherworld."

"Residents?" The Ghost Bride tilted her head. "Can they live in that village?"

Su Bai shook his head: "They will live on the scorched earth side."

"Oh." The Ghost Bride nodded as if she half-understood, floating above the half-orcs and observing them curiously.

Feeling that eerie aura, the half-orcs all lowered their heads, not even daring to breathe loudly.

Sadako still floated quietly, her long hair covering her face.

The Slit-Mouthed Woman held her scissors, walking at the very back like a jailer escorting prisoners.

The Yin Soldiers lined up in an orderly fashion, following on both sides.

Su Bai stood at the entrance of the Netherworld World, taking one last look back at the space that had become completely void.

The Crimson Blood Realm had vanished from then on.

And his Netherworld World now had an additional territory and three hundred and seventy-three living residents.

Crimson Blood Scorched Earth.

And Crimson-Blood Half-Orcs.

He stepped into the deep blue portal.

Behind him, the three hundred and seventy-three half-orcs followed in silence.

On the other side of the passage was that greyish-white world.

It was the Netherworld.
