139: Chapter 139 The Power of 300,000 Faith

Su Bai opened his eyes.

Grayish-white Yin Qi surged before his eyes, and the light wheel of the Six Paths of Reincarnation slowly rotated, digesting the residual energy from devouring the Star World bit by bit, converting it into the Netherworld World's own Power of Laws.

It wasn't enough.

He vaguely felt that the Netherworld World was still missing something to reach the Seventh-Order.

It wasn't the number of Hero Units, not the diversity of races, nor the area of the world, but some more essential and deeper architecture.

Su Bai's brow furrowed slightly.

The Six Case Clerks and Meng Po of the Department of Reincarnation were already in place, as was the City God of the Department of the Netherworld. However, not a single one of the four judges of the Judges Office was present.

The Judges Office required a Seventh-Order world to be created.

This had become a closed loop. He needed the Judges Office to break through to the Seventh-Order, but the Judges Office required the Seventh-Order to be created.

In that case, he could only look for a breakthrough elsewhere.

Su Bai withdrew his consciousness and was about to carefully sort out what the Netherworld World was still missing when his communication terminal vibrated again.

This time it wasn't Chu Zhentian, but the official Tianyuan Arena.

A holographic projection message unfurled in the center of the lounge.

[To all Creators who have advanced to the Points Race:]

[The third round of the knockout matches has concluded; the Points Race will officially begin in seven days.]

[Contestants, please use these seven days to rest fully and adjust your condition.]

[The Points Race format will be announced twenty-four hours before the event. Please stay tuned for further notifications.]

[Tianyuan Arena Organizing Committee]

Seven days.

Su Bai looked at those words and breathed a small sigh of relief.

After three consecutive high-intensity duels, although he hadn't moved a finger from start to finish inside the world pod, the consumption of consciousness was real. Commanding dozens of Hero Units and millions of troops simultaneously put a load on mental power far beyond an ordinary person's imagination.

Now, when he closed his eyes, he could still see the image of nine stars falling from the sky in his mind.

Seven days was enough.

He leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes. His consciousness didn't sink into the Netherworld World but floated in a blank void.

True rest.

After an unknown amount of time, the communication terminal vibrated once more.

This time it was Chu Kuangren.

A holographic projection burst open in the center of the lounge. Chu Kuangren's face was almost pressed against the lens, looking as excited as if he had defeated Bei Chenyao himself.

“Brother!!! You fucking crushed Bei Chenyao!!!”

Su Bai opened his eyes and looked at that face, distorted by excitement.

“Top ten in the country! Third place in the Tianshu Star Sector! Nine peak Sixth-Order Star Gods! You crushed them all!” Chu Kuangren's voice was so loud the lounge walls buzzed. “Do you have any idea what's happening outside? Public opinion in the entire Great Xia Kingdom has exploded! Eight out of the top ten trending searches are about you!”

Su Bai looked at him expressionlessly.

“Netherworld World Su Bai,” “Sixth-Order World Births Power of Laws,” “Dark Horse Eliminates National Third Place,” “Six Paths of Reincarnation Devours Stars,” “Who is Su Bai,” “A Monster Appears in Qinglin Province,” “Bei Chenyao Concedes,” “Biggest Upset in the Zhuangyuan Hegemony Competition”

Chu Kuangren rattled off eight headlines in one breath and then took a deep gulp of air.

“Brother, you're a top-tier celebrity in the entire Great Xia Kingdom now.”

Su Bai was silent for two seconds.

“Are you finished?”

Chu Kuangren was stunned for a moment.

“I—I'm finished.”

“Then it's my turn.”

Su Bai sat up straight and looked at Chu Kuangren's holographic projection.

“The money has arrived—three hundred million. I want to exchange all of it for faith crystals.”

Chu Kuangren's eyes instantly lit up.

“How much? All three hundred million?”

“All of it.”

Chu Kuangren slapped his thigh hard.

“Alright! I'll go tell my old man right now! Three hundred million worth of faith crystals—the Chu family has them in stock. I'll have someone deliver them to you.”

“No need to deliver them,” Su Bai interrupted. “Tianyuan Arena has a Logistics Hub. Send them there directly, and I'll pick them up myself.”

“That works too!” Chu Kuangren nodded, then suddenly lowered his voice. “Brother, you're exchanging for so many faith crystals; what big move are you planning?”

Su Bai didn't answer.

Chu Kuangren waited for two seconds and chuckled.

“Fine, I won't ask. Just wait; the faith crystals will be in place in two hours at most.”

The holographic projection dissipated.

The lounge became quiet again.

Su Bai leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes.

Two hours.

He could use these two hours to do one thing.

Get a good sleep.

Two hours later.

The communication terminal vibrated.

It wasn't a message from Chu Kuangren, but a notification from the Tianyuan Arena Logistics Hub.

[A batch of supplies for you has arrived. Please use this notification to collect them from Cabinet 17, Area B of the Logistics Hub.]

Su Bai stood up and walked out of the lounge.

The winners' lounge area was massive—a circular building three kilometers in diameter with corridors like silver-white ribbons spiraling upward. He passed other lounge doors along the way; some were tightly shut, some half-open, and some had “Do Not Disturb” signs posted.

As Su Bai passed a half-open door, his peripheral vision caught a light screen inside.

It was playing the recording of Match 008. The image was frozen at the moment the Six Paths of Reincarnation devoured the ninth star.

The Creator inside the room looked up and saw Su Bai. He opened his mouth as if to say something but ultimately just nodded.

Su Bai gave a slight nod and continued walking.

The Logistics Hub was on the east side of the Tianyuan Arena. It was a massive silver-white building shaped like a truncated cone, its surface covered in dense teleportation array patterns.

Su Bai entered Area B and found Cabinet 17.

The cabinet door opened, revealing a row of grayish-white crystals neatly stacked inside.

faith crystals.

Each one was about the size of a baby's fist, with a faint grayish-white light flowing on its surface like solidified Yin Qi. Holding one in his hand, he could feel the energy contained within flowing slowly, like a dark river sealed deep underground.

Su Bai counted them.

Three thousand.

One faith crystal could be exchanged for one hundred points of Power Of Faith; three thousand crystals meant three hundred thousand points.

Combined with his existing seventeen thousand-plus points, his total Power Of Faith would reach...

[Current Power Of Faith: 17,811 points]

[faith crystals to be extracted: 3,000 (300,000 points)]

[Total after extraction: 317,811 points]

Three hundred seventeen thousand, eight hundred eleven points.

Su Bai looked at that number and took a deep breath.

He had never possessed this much Power Of Faith before.

He placed the three thousand faith crystals into the world pod's Spatial Storage Compartment and turned to walk back to the lounge.

The door closed behind him.

Su Bai sat cross-legged on the sofa, his consciousness sinking into the Netherworld World.

The grayish-white Yin Qi surged like an ocean.

Su Bai's consciousness avatar stood at the world core, in front of the familiar panel.

[Current Power Of Faith: 317,811 points]

Three hundred seventeen thousand.
