49: Chapter 49 Three Worlds in a Row

The first world: Abyss Demon Realm.

The dark red sky hung low, and the air was filled with the pungent smell of sulfur.

The earth was charred black, cracked into countless pieces, with dark red magma flowing through every fissure.

In the distance, a massive volcano was erupting, and magma poured down like a waterfall.

At the foot of the volcano stood countless abyss demons, packed densely together.

They ranged from two to three meters in height, their bodies dark red, with curved goat horns on their heads and massive bat wings on their backs.

Their eyes were blood-red with slit pupils, revealing endless madness and cruelty.

At a rough estimate, there were at least twenty thousand.

At the very front was a giant demon over five meters tall.

Lightning coiled around his goat horns, and his hands gripped two giant swords burning with hellfire.

A Tier 4 peak hero, an Abyss Lord.

Su Bai stood at the edge of the battlefield, watching that dense army of demons with an expressionless face.

He raised his hand and waved it gently.

Behind him, grey-white Yin Qi churned like the sea.

Five massive portals opened simultaneously within the Yin Qi.

The first portal came from the Mycelium Deep Forest.

Twenty thousand Mushroom People surged out from the forest, forming neat phalanxes.

The Mushroom King floated at the very front of the phalanxes, its purple eyes staring coldly at the demons.

The second portal came from the Shadow Demon Abyss.

Thirty thousand shadow demons surged out from the abyss, scattering across the battlefield like hunters lurking in the dark.

Shadow Blade floated in mid-air, his grey-white eyes narrowed slightly.

The third portal came from the Extreme Cold Ice Plains.

Eight thousand Ice Crystals surged out from the ice plains, standing behind the Mushroom People like rows of ice-blue city walls.

The Frost King stood at the very front, his silver eyes filled with bone-chilling cold.

The fourth portal came from Hall of Impermanence.

Black and White Impermanence stepped out side by side; White Impermanence still wore a smile, while Black Impermanence still had a fierce expression.

Behind them, two hundred Soul-Hooking Ghosts lined up neatly, their chains swaying gently in the Yin Qi.

The fifth portal came from the world core.

The Ghost King stepped out slowly, clad in pitch-black battle armor, with the ghost king sword hanging at his waist, his golden slit pupils sweeping coldly over the army of demons.

Behind him, Ox-Head and Horse-Face stood side by side.

Ox-Head gripped a massive steel fork, his blood-red eyes fixed on the Abyss Lord.

Horse-Face gripped a pitch-black chain, a strange smile appearing on his long, narrow face.

Sixty thousand units.

Nine heroes.

The Ghost King raised his head and looked at the Abyss Lord.

He spoke.

His voice was low and deep, clearly entering the ears of every demon.

"Kill."

A single word.

Light and airy.

But falling into the ears of those demons, it was like the Reaper's judgment.

The Mushroom King raised its hand.

Twenty thousand Mushroom People released their spores simultaneously.

Grey-white spores drifted down like snowflakes, landing on the demons.

The movements of those demons began to slow, their eyes began to grow confused, and their consciousness began to blur.

Shadow Blade disappeared from where he stood.

The next second, he appeared in the center of the demon army.

Thirty thousand shadow demons used Space Folding simultaneously, like countless streaks of black lightning, weaving through the demon horde.

Sharp claw blades pierced the demons' chests, and shadow energy eroded the demons' souls.

The Frost King raised his hand.

Eight thousand Ice Crystals released their coldness simultaneously.

The Extreme Cold Domain overlapped with the Spore Domain, and those demons, already sluggish, were frozen directly into ice sculptures.

Black and White Impermanence did not take action.

They just stood there, looking coldly at the demons.

But two hundred Soul-Hooking Ghosts had already rushed out.

Their chains wove through the demon crowd; every time they entangled a demon, it resulted in a shrill scream.

The souls of the demons entangled by the chains were forcibly ripped out of their bodies and dragged by the Soul-Hooking Ghosts toward Hall of Impermanence.

Ox-Head and Horse-Face also did not take action.

They just stood behind the Ghost King, staring at the Abyss Lord.

Because that Abyss Lord was the Ghost King's prey.

The Ghost King slowly raised his hand.

The ghost king sword was unsheathed.

The blade was as black as ink, and the edge shimmered with a faint blue light.

Wherever that light reached, the air twisted and space trembled.

He moved.

In the next instant, he had already appeared before the Abyss Lord.

The Abyss Lord roared, and two hellfire greatswords slashed down simultaneously.

The Ghost King did not dodge.

He just raised the ghost king sword and slashed lightly.

Sword light flashed.

The two greatswords snapped in response.

The Abyss Lord was stunned.

It looked down at the broken sword hilts in its hands, its eyes full of disbelief.

The Ghost King did not give it time to react.

A second sword strike descended.

The sword light swept across the Abyss Lord's neck.

That massive head flew high into the air, and dark red blood gushed out like a fountain.

The Tier 4 peak Abyss Lord was killed.

One strike.

Just one strike.

The battlefield fell into a deathly silence.

Those demons still resisting, seeing their king beheaded by a single strike, froze in place.

Some threw down their weapons and knelt to beg for mercy.

Some fled frantically, trying to escape this hell.

Some completely collapsed, holding their heads and weeping.

But no one could escape.

The Shadow Demons' Space Folding blocked all retreat routes.

The Ice Crystals' Extreme Cold Domain froze all who fled.

The Mushroom People's spores left all demons in confusion.

The Soul-Hooking Ghosts' chains entangled all who tried to resist.

The battle lasted less than twenty minutes.

Twenty thousand abyss demons, 13,000 killed, 7,000 captured.

Casualties were negligible.

Su Bai stood in the center of the battlefield, looking at those demon captives kneeling on the ground, and raised his hand.

[Brand]

Grey-white light swept across the entire battlefield.

Seven thousand abyss demons were branded with the mark of the underworld.

...

The second world: Primordial Beast Realm.

This was a primitive world.

Endless primeval forests, giant trees blocking out the sky, and those terrifying auras hidden deep in the forest.

Primordial beasts were not a single race, but a mixed population.

Here, there were Tyrannosaurus Rexes ten meters tall, Pterodactyls with wingspans over twenty meters, Earth Dragons with bodies like mountains, Saber-Toothed Tigers as fast as lightning, poisonous pythons with lethal toxins, and Thunder Beasts capable of controlling lightning...

18,000 beasts were scattered throughout the vast primeval forest.

Every single one was Tier 3 or higher.

The most powerful Primordial Tyrannosaurus was Tier 4 peak.

Su Bai stood at the edge of the forest, looking at that patch of primitive green, and said softly:

"Ghost King."

The Ghost King nodded slightly.

He raised his hand.

[Yellow Spring Road] expanded.

A grey-white path extended from him toward the depths of the forest; wherever it passed, all trees withered instantly, and all life faded away instantly.

On the path, the auras of those beasts dropped rapidly.

Tier 3 fell to Tier 2, Tier 2 fell to Tier 1, and Tier 1 fell to near-death.

The Ghost King stepped forward.

Behind him, Black and White Impermanence, Ox-Head and Horse-Face, Ghost Bride, Sadako, Slit-Mouthed Woman, Mushroom King, Shadow Blade, and Frost King, bringing sixty thousand units, followed closely behind.

They did not need to disperse to search, nor did they need to surround and intercept.

They only needed to follow the Yellow Spring Road and move forward.

Those beasts covered by the Yellow Spring Road had their strength suppressed to the lowest point and had no power to resist.

Shadow demons wove through the forest, harvesting those who tried to escape.

Ice Crystals froze those beasts attempting to counterattack.

The Mushroom People's spores left those beasts in confusion.

The Soul-Hooking Ghosts' chains entangled those struggling.

The Ghost Bride's red silk threads wove into a net in the forest, and not a single beast could escape her capture.

The battle lasted less than forty minutes.

18,000 primordial beasts, 12,000 killed, 6,000 captured.

Zero casualties.

...

The third world: Death Knight Realm.

This was a dead, silent world.

Grey-white sky, charred earth, and cold winds that whistled forever.

On the horizon, a silent army was lining up.

Eight thousand Death Knights, riding Nightmare warhorses burning with ghostly green flames, clad in pitch-black armor, holding giant knight swords.

At the very front was a Death Knight riding a huge bone dragon.

The Death Knight King, Tier 4 peak.

His eyes were ghostly green, and a skeletal face was vaguely visible beneath his helmet.

He looked at the grey-white figure stepping out from the light gate and raised the knight sword in his hand.

Eight thousand Death Knights raised their swords simultaneously.

That soaring murderous aura was enough to chill the heart of any living creature.

But Su Bai just watched them quietly.

The Ghost King stood by his side, his golden slit pupils sweeping coldly over that army.

He spoke.

"Surrender, or die."

The Death Knight King was silent for a second.

He laughed.

That laughter came from the skeleton's mouth, strange and harsh.

"We are already dead."

"How can there be surrender?"

The Ghost King nodded.

"Then die."

He raised his hand.

[Ghost Domain] expanded.

[Yellow Spring Road] expanded.

The phantom of the Ghost Gate Pass appeared behind him, ten thousand zhang high, pitch-black, with strange runes carved all over the gate.

The moment that phantom appeared, the temperature of the entire Death Knight Realm plummeted below freezing.

The Nightmare warhorses of those Death Knights began to neigh, the armor of those Death Knights began to crack, and the soul fire of those Death Knights began to flicker.

The Death Knight King's smile froze.

He looked at that phantom, and for the first time, fear appeared in his eyes.

"That... what is that?"

No one answered him.

The Ghost King had already drawn his sword.

This battle was the fastest one.

Because there were no living survivors among the Death Knights.

They were already undead, unable to be branded, unable to be subdued, and could only be completely annihilated.

Eight thousand Death Knights, completely wiped out.

The Death Knight King was beheaded by the Ghost King with one sword strike.

Zero casualties.
