219: Chapter 219 Two Questions

The bedchamber was vast, with red curtains hanging low and candlelight flickering. The floor was covered in thick Yao Beast fur, making his footsteps silent.

Night-luminescent pearls were embedded in the surrounding walls, emitting a soft glow that made the entire bedchamber look as if it were shrouded in mist.

Madam Huayue reclined on a soft couch, wearing sleepwear as thin as a cicada's wing.

She rested her chin on one hand, holding a glass of crimson wine in the other, her peach-blossom eyes half-closed.

"You've come?" She curled the corners of her lips and pointed to the seat opposite her. "Sit. Have a drink with me."

Chu Sheng walked over but did not sit. Instead, he leaned against the pillar opposite the soft couch, arms crossed over his chest.

Madam Huayue raised an eyebrow but said nothing, simply setting down her wine glass and watching him.

Chu Sheng got straight to the point: "I have come to ask about two things. First, the Reverse Demon Tower. Second, Yu Rumeng."

The smile on Madam Huayue's face froze for a moment.

It did not disappear; it solidified, as if someone had pressed the pause button.

She slowly sat up straight, her red dress sliding down to reveal her bare shoulders, but he paid no attention.

Her eyes were fixed on Chu Sheng. The laziness and allure in her peach-blossom eyes were gone, replaced by something serious, vigilant, and scrutinizing.

"The Reverse Demon Tower," her voice dropped a few degrees. "Why do you ask about this?"

Chu Sheng said: "I want to go in."

Madam Huayue's pupils constricted. She was silent for a few moments, then laughed, a smile tinged with bitterness and mockery.

"You want to enter the Reverse Demon Tower? Do you know what kind of place that is? It is the treasure vault of the previous Demon Lord, Greed. It is a monster that even Gluttony couldn't finish chewing after eating half of it. Within the territory of the Wanmo Hall, even those in the Dao Palace Realm have a nine-in-ten chance of dying if they enter. You, a mere Spirit Sea..."

Madam Huayue suddenly paused.

"What is your Cultivate level?"

Chu Sheng did not answer, simply looking at her.

Madam Huayue felt uncomfortable under his gaze. She tried to probe with her Divine Sense, but the moment it touched Chu Sheng's body, it vanished without a trace, like a drop of water into a sponge.

Her expression changed; it wasn't fear, but confusion.

"You..." She opened her mouth but didn't continue.

Chu Sheng did not explain either.

He asked the second question: "Where is Yu Rumeng?"

Madam Huayue's expression became even more complex.

She picked up her wine glass, took a sip, set it down, and was silent for a few moments before saying something that surprised Chu Sheng: "Why are you looking for that wretch? Did she offend you?"

Chu Sheng looked out the window: "You could say that."

Madam Huayue's eyes narrowed, as if trying to discern the truth in his words, then she suddenly laughed, a very suggestive laugh.

"Don't tell me you've taken a liking to her? That woman is cold as ice; what's so good about her?"

Chu Sheng ignored her teasing, his voice calm: "Where is she?"

Madam Huayue sighed, placed the wine glass on the table, and slowly stood up. She walked barefoot in front of Chu Sheng and looked up at his face.

Her fingers traced circles on Chu Sheng's chest, her voice returning to that lazy, seductive tone.

"Put those two questions aside for a moment. Let me ask you this: stay and become my number one man. How about it? It's much better than that Yu Rumeng. In my Huayue City, you can have whatever you want. Cultivate resources, beauties, power—I can give you all of it."

Chu Sheng looked down at her fingers. He didn't pull away, nor did he respond, simply saying: "Answer my question first."

Madam Huayue's fingers paused, and her smile faded slightly.

She stepped back half a pace and scrutinized Chu Sheng again.

This man—she couldn't see through him.

It wasn't just his cultivation; she couldn't see through the person himself.

He didn't fear her, didn't covet her, and didn't beg from her.

Standing before her, he was like a mountain, a stone, a gust of wind.

This feeling made her very uncomfortable, yet it also excited her.

Chu Sheng no longer concealed himself.

He released a sliver of his aura.

Mid-stage Palace Building, Dao Palace Realm.

That aura pressed down on Madam Huayue like an invisible mountain, and her expression finally changed.

It wasn't just a loss of composure; it was the shock of being slapped awake from a deep sleep.

She took a step back, nearly tripping on her own hem, her eyes filled with disbelief:

"You... Dao Palace?"

No wonder he dared to beat her male favorites, no wonder he dared to come to the Demon Realm alone to run wild, no wonder he didn't feel a shred of nervousness when facing her.

Madam Huayue stared at Chu Sheng for a long time, then let out a long sigh and sat back down on the soft couch.

She picked up the wine glass, drained it in one gulp, wiped the corner of her mouth, and her voice sounded a bit hoarse.

"The Reverse Demon Tower... I don't want to go to that place either. Greed has been dead for thousands of years, but the Restrictions inside the Reverse Demon Tower are still operating, and there are remnant souls left over from Gluttony's feeding. Who would dare go in? Even those old monsters in the Wanmo Hall don't dare approach it lightly."

Her fingers traced the rim of the wine glass. "You want to go in? Are you seeking death?"

Chu Sheng said: "That is my business."

Madam Huayue was silent for a while, then suddenly laughed: "Yu Rumeng is in the territory of the Wanmo Hall. I don't know the specific location, but once you arrive in the territory of the Wanmo Hall, someone will naturally tell you."

Chu Sheng nodded and turned to leave.

Madam Huayue's voice came from behind, carrying a hint of reluctance and curiosity: "Are you really not considering staying? My offer is serious."

Chu Sheng did not look back, simply waving his hand as he pushed open the door of the bedchamber and walked out.

Moonlight shone on his face, cool and refreshing. In the bedchamber behind him,

Madam Huayue reclined on the soft couch, holding a glass of wine as she watched the direction in which he had disappeared, murmuring to herself: "This brat is truly interesting."
