390: Chapter 390 All the beauties in the world are mine to desire

Yu Rumeng held the warm, moist rumeng token, her fingertips repeatedly stroking its smooth surface.

It was as if she was confirming that its texture had indeed taken full shape.

She looked down at it for a long while before putting it away, then raised her eyes to look at Chu Sheng, her gaze several degrees heavier than before.

"What is your purpose in helping me do all this? Do you intend to become the Demon Venerable yourself?"

Chu Sheng leaned back in his chair, originally intending to casually say something.

"Naturally, it is to be the first to worry about the world's troubles and the last to enjoy its joys."

The words were at the tip of his tongue, and he was just about to say them in a righteous tone.

The Demonic Qi of Infatuation silently fluctuated, as if rephrasing his words for him.

He blurted out, "Naturally, it is... to drink all the fine wine in the world, taste all the fine food in the world, and possess all the beauties in the world to my heart's desire."

After saying this, even he was stunned for a moment.

The hall was quiet for two breaths, as if even the wind had come to a stop.

Yu Rumeng looked at him, her expression shifting from confusion to complexity. Her lips moved slightly, as if she wanted to say something but didn't know how to put it.

Chu Sheng rubbed his temples. "Um... what I just said doesn't count."

"Doesn't count? You said it quite smoothly."

Yu Rumeng's voice carried an emotion that even she couldn't quite explain.

It was as if she wanted to be serious but couldn't bring herself to be, wanted to smile but felt she shouldn't.

Chu Sheng coughed dryly. "A slip of the tongue. What I just said was something else on my mind, I didn't mean to say it out loud."

He offered an explanation, though even he felt it sounded unconvincing, like trying to cover up a lie only to make it worse.

Yu Rumeng looked at him and remained silent for a moment.

Her brow twitched imperceptibly, and a surge of crimson Devilish Qi welled up from within her, as if ignited by some emotion.

However, she was not completely swallowed by anger like before, but merely spoke in a tone she couldn't fully suppress, "What did you say?"

Her voice held a trace of ignited anger.

Chu Sheng glanced at her, speaking in a relaxed, indifferent tone, "You haven't fully reined in your Devilish Qi yet."

Yu Rumeng looked down at her hand, where the cluster of Devilish Qi pulsed a few times before slowly receding.

Her tone carried a hint of apology, "Sorry, my Devilish Qi is a bit out of control."

"It's fine,"

Chu Sheng said, "Flirting occasionally like this is actually quite nice."

Yu Rumeng glared at him, though most of the anger in that glance had already dissipated.

Chu Sheng straightened his posture. "The goal is to help you gradually gather the territory of the Demon Realm, or at least not let Arrogance easily swallow everything. Nine Nether Palace is closest to us, so we'll start there. You're familiar with the people of Nine Nether Palace, who do you think is an easy target?"

"Elder Minghe, Blood Demon Ancestor, Madam Baigu, Madam Huayue—these few are Nine Nether Palace's main pillars on the surface."

Yu Rumeng said, "Madam Huayue's route is a dead end; she's too slippery, and no one can catch her slip-up. Madam Baigu's attitude is unclear, but she could be probed. Elder Minghe has been expanding aggressively in the border areas recently, as if trying to seize more territory after the collapse of the Reverse Demon Tower."

Chu Sheng nodded. "Then let's start with him. Draft a plan first, listing the steps to win over or eliminate Nine Nether Palace's people, and I'll see how to coordinate from my end."

"I will deal with Madam Huayue personally later."

The two began sorting through the structure of the Demon Realm item by item, from long-term planning down to actionable details.

How to gradually erode Nine Nether Palace's territory, whom to contact first, and whom to beat into submission first.

How to clean up the mess left behind by the Righteous-Demonic War, along with the movements of the Wanmo Hall and the Blood God Sect, were all laid out on the table one by one.

On the other side, Zhou Wantang had already embarked on the road toward the outer perimeter of Nine Nether Palace.

She had changed into dark robes, her appearance concealed flawlessly, looking just like any ordinary Demon Race Loose Cultivator traveling normally through the area.

She walked a distance along the edge of the city wall, then turned onto a secluded desolate trail, arriving behind a low hill.

Elder Minghe had been frequently appearing in this area recently, as if inspecting his newly Acquired territory.

Zhou Wantang did not reveal herself directly. She placed a stolen Nine Nether Palace command tally on a conspicuous rock atop the hill.

She let the tally emit a weak aura, resembling something dropped by a careless messenger.

She observed for half an hour, confirming that the tally's aura had spread far enough.

Only then did she turn and leave, choosing a hillside with a clear view in the distance to wait quietly.

Sure enough, in less than two hours, a figure appeared near the hill. Elder Minghe was dressed in a long gray robe, tall and thin.

With a steady aura, he landed on the hill, looked down at the command tally, and bent over to pick it up, seemingly attempting to identify its origin.

Just as he flipped the tally over, a small containment Formation that had been set up beforehand instantly activated beneath his feet, trapping him in place.

Elder Minghe froze for a moment before reacting, raising his hand in an attempt to break the containment.

However, Zhou Wantang did not give him much time. From dozens of feet away, she condensed a streak of jade-green Devilish Qi into a thin line.

It precisely passed through a gap in the containment Formation and struck his right shoulder head-on.

Hit by that Devilish Qi, the robe on Elder Minghe's shoulder ruptured instantly, leaving a slowly spreading corrosive mark.

He let out a muffled groan and took half a step back, his eyes swiftly scanning the surroundings as if trying to locate the attacker.

However, the containment Formation beneath his feet was still functioning continuously, preventing him from freeing himself immediately.

Zhou Wantang did not reveal herself. Standing at the edge of the hillside, she watched the figure on the hill quickly adjusting his stance from afar, then turned and walked in the opposite direction.

Today, she was only testing his depth and leaving a mark on him for future tracking.

On the other side, Chu Sheng sat cross-legged in a quiet room deep inside Yu Rumeng's palace, with the shrunken Reverse Demon Tower floating before him.

The tower's surface was densely covered with fine cracks, looking like scars accumulated over long years.

He spent several thousand simulation points at the simulator shop to purchase some repair Materials, then refined them one by one and merged them into the tower's cracks.

During his repairs, those cracks slowly healed and became smooth once more, as if being stitched up one by one.

After finishing this, he spent some time adjusting the Restriction structure within the tower, then released part of the permissions to temporarily grant Yu Rumeng control over it.

Having done all this, he checked his simulation points balance, which was just over twenty thousand remaining.

He closed the panel, shut his eyes again, and immersed his consciousness into the slowly spinning small sphere within his Dantian.

He could feel the embryonic form of the "Hell of Obsession" slowly shaping there, like a seed waiting to sprout.

He currently possessed only one complete Divine Ability. If he could master a second Divine Ability, his combat power would surge by at least thirty percent, giving him much more leeway when dealing with those old monsters.

He sank his consciousness deeper into that small sphere and began deducing the operating mechanism of that embryonic form.
