141: Chapter 140 Big Brother

Choi Yena, standing beside her, didn't feel too embarrassed. She simply tilted her head, which was covered by a duck mask, in confusion. Looking at the staff member holding the cue card, she asked in an innocent and curious tone:

"Production Team-nim? What's next? How do we 'charge' for the 'Lion Charge Duck Punch'? Do we charge over and hit it ourselves? Or..."

She didn't finish her sentence.

A strange, low "clank, clank, clank..." sound, like heavy machinery slowly starting up, approached from the direction of a certain path in the amusement park.

The sound wasn't loud, but it was exceptionally clear, carrying a metallic texture and a sense of heavy weight, gradually drowning out the surrounding noise.

Kwon Eunbi and Choi Yena, along with all the tourists and staff members present, couldn't help but look toward the source of the sound.

At the end of the path between the spinning coffee cups and the bumper car arena, an extremely large and oppressive figure was walking step by step toward the sausage stand—or rather, toward the "Slime King."

It was a humanoid machine about two and a half meters tall!

Its main body was painted a bright orange-yellow, with thick, rugged lines on its torso and limbs that exuded a sense of power. The head was designed in the shape of a majestic lion's head, with sharp metal fangs and spirited LED eyes (currently flashing red). The shoulder armor was wide, and there was a glowing emblem on its chest resembling a lion's mane spreading out. There seemed to be structures like a cape or thrusters on its back.

This was clearly a lion-type robot in a tokusatsu style, looking incredibly cool (though a closer look revealed parts of the shell were plastic or fiberglass)!

"Whoa—!!!"

"It's a robot! A huge robot!"

"Is it a new performance?!"

"Is it here to help Lion Hero?!"

After a brief moment of shock, the children erupted into screams and cheers even more fanatical and excited than before! For them, this was a dream come true! A real robot had appeared! And it was lion-shaped! So cool!!

The adults also marveled, raising their phones to film frantically. This was much more shocking than the "Ultraman vs. Monster" scene earlier! Although it looked like a special performance by the amusement park, the robot's entrance and design were truly impactful.

Kwon Eunbi and Choi Yena were completely stunned.

Kwon Eunbi (Lion Mask): "...???" (Brain currently stalling)

Choi Yena (Duck Mask): "Oh my! Oh my, oh my!!" (Jumping excitedly)

The "Slime King" also seemed to sense the threat from this metallic beast. Its massive jelly-like body squirmed uneasily, emitting a wary "gurgle gurgle" sound. It temporarily abandoned the sausages and turned its "front" toward the slowly approaching Lion Robot.

The Lion Robot took heavy, precise steps, finally stopping about ten meters away from the "Slime King." Its red LED eyes locked onto the target, its head turned slightly, and it let out a low roar with an electronically synthesized voice:

"Target confirmed: Star Demon Minion Aggregate."

"Executing Purification Protocol: Lion Charge Duck Punch—Ready."

Kwon Eunbi & Choi Yena: It... it really is the "Lion Charge Duck Punch"?! But it's being executed by a robot?!

Under the gaze of everyone (and the Slime King), the Lion Robot slowly raised its right arm. With a "click," the shell of its forearm slid open to both sides, revealing a dark, large-caliber cannon barrel!

Light seemed to be condensing inside the barrel, emitting a low charging hum.

The "Slime King" seemed to sense danger. Its body, composed of countless "Soft Babies," began to squirm violently, trying to disperse or take a defensive stance, but its movements were clearly no match for the machine's speed.

The light from the Lion Robot's right arm cannon reached its peak. The sights (if any) were firmly locked onto the center of the "Slime King's" face, which was drawn with a marker.

And then—

"Fire!" (Electronic synthesized voice)

"Bang—!!!"

A launch sound rang out, not particularly deafening but absolutely clear!

However, what shot out from the barrel wasn't a laser, a shell, or anything that looked lethal.

Instead, it was—

A giant, soft, bright yellow inflatable rubber duck doll with silly plastic eyes staring blankly!

That's right! The kind of rubber duck you play with in the bath! Except this one was magnified dozens of times, with an estimated diameter of over half a meter!

This giant inflatable rubber duck flew out of the muzzle at an astonishing speed (for an inflatable toy), tracing a bright yellow arc in the air. Without straying, it landed squarely and plastered itself right onto the "Slime King's" large marker-drawn face!

"Squelch!!!"

An impact sound rang out, louder and duller than any before!

The giant inflatable rubber duck was like a soft cannonball, its entire body embedded into the "Slime King's" jelly-like "face"! The duck's butt was still sticking out, quivering.

The "Slime King" was hit so hard by this sudden, soft, and childlike "attack" that its entire massive body reclined violently backward! It let out an unprecedented, elongated, sharp, and strange cry full of shock(?) and pain(?):

"Greeeeee——————!!!"

Along with this scream, its aggregate structure, barely maintained by countless small "Soft Babies," seemed unable to withstand the impact of this "gentle blow" (more likely a programmed setting). It began to rapidly disintegrate and collapse from the center point where the duck had plastered its face!

Pink, blue, green, yellow... countless small "Soft Babies," like plasticine that had lost its stickiness, detached from the aggregate, rolled off, and bounced in all directions (actually the internal frames and inflatable parts deflating or popping out), making dense "squelch squelch bloop" sounds.

In just a few seconds, that massive, majestic(?) "Slime King" completely collapsed, turning into a ground full of small "Soft Babies" of various colors still slightly twitching (not fully deflated), and... a giant, bright yellow inflatable rubber duck with its face buried deep in the jelly remains (actually inflatable parts and fabric).

"Sau... sage..."

A weak, muffled, and unwilling final word(?) drifted out from the mess and then went completely silent.

The scene was dead silent.

Only the giant inflatable rubber duck stood out exceptionally on the jelly (prop) remains.

The children's mouths hung open, and they forgot to cheer.

The adults held their phones with blank expressions.

Choi Yena's duck mask was tilted to one side, revealing half of a bewildered little face that practically screamed, "Who am I, where am I, and what did I just see?"

And Kwon Eunbi...

She slowly, extremely slowly, lowered her head (in the lion mask) and looked at the light inflatable Lion King hammer in her hand.

She raised her head again and looked at the Lion Robot ahead, which had "defeated the enemy" in one hit and was now slowly retracting its cannon barrel (duck launcher), its red LED eyes extinguished, standing quietly as if its work was done.

Then she looked at the pile of "remains" of the "Slime King" on the ground and that eye-searing giant rubber duck...

Finally, her gaze fell back on herself—wearing a ridiculous lion mask, with a yellow duck towel once draped over her shoulder, having just recited a shameful incantation and shouted a shameful move name back-to-back with her teammate...

And the final presentation of that ultimate move, "Lion Charge Duck Punch," was actually a Lion Robot firing a giant rubber duck, plastering it onto the Slime King's face, and then... smashing it apart?

So "Charge Duck Punch"... really meant "Charge (Fire) a Duck" in the literal sense???

Where's the logic?!

Where's the rationality?!

Where's the dignity of the constellations?!

Where's the hot-bloodedness of battle?!

Everything was smashed to pieces by that giant rubber duck!!

*Thud.*

A soft sound.

Kwon Eunbi's (wearing the lion mask) knees buckled, and she fell straight to the ground in front of the sausage stand, as if all her bones had been removed.

She didn't even cover her face (because she was wearing a mask); she just lowered her head, her shoulders starting to tremble violently and uncontrollably.

Then, a shout that had been suppressed to the limit, finally breaking through all defenses of shame, absurdity, and collapse—nearly hysterical, on the edge of tears and explosive laughter—burst out muffledly yet clearly from under her lion mask, echoing in the now-petrified corner of the amusement park:

"WHAT! IN! THE! WORLD! IS! THIS! AAAAAHHHHH——!!!"

(Jiang Zhiyu, the ultimate winner of the entire show, hiding his merit and name, showed a relieved and satisfied, kind smile in the monitoring room, like seeing a rare species he cultivated finally bloom and bear fruit.)
