130: Chapter 130: White Flag on the Car Head, Li Wenhui Personally Delivers Jiangcheng Coordinates

South Suburb Military District.

On the conference table in front of Director Li Wenhui lay several photographs.

The photos showed that dark, imposing cruise ship at the East Suburb Port.

A battalion commander stood up, his face grim.

"Director, handing over the abandoned East Suburb Port to them directly is too dangerous."

"Dangerous?" Director Li Wenhui raised his voice. "What is the situation in Jiangcheng right now? There are zombies everywhere!"

"Do you want me to fight a war on two fronts?"

"If a real fight breaks out, who will be responsible for the deaths? Can you afford the responsibility of destroying the peace?"

He slapped a heavy label on the situation. The battalion commander clenched his fists, but eventually sat back down.

The air in the conference room was stifling.

Master Jiu sat on a leather sofa in the corner, legs crossed, rolling two walnuts in his hand.

Crack.

The walnuts collided with a crisp sound.

"Director Li." Master Jiu sneered. "When I was in the underworld, I learned a principle."

"If someone comes to your door with a knife and you serve them tea, they won't think you're hospitable."

"They'll just take the teapot along with everything else."

He put the walnuts away. "Thousands of men in black, daring to push straight into Jiangcheng Port. You call this fleeing from disaster?"

Director Li Wenhui raised a hand, stopping him from continuing. "Chen Jiushan, this is the military district headquarters. Keep that thug talk to yourself. This is diplomacy."

Master Jiu leaned back, too lazy to argue further. "Fine, it's diplomacy. Just don't come crying and screaming in pain later."

Director Li Wenhui's expression darkened further. He turned to look at his secretary. "Is the negotiation team ready?"

The secretary nodded immediately. "Two trucks of fresh water, five cases of antibiotics, ten cases of canned beef. A white flag is hung on the front of the vehicle."

Director Li Wenhui straightened his collar, as if he could already see his own magnificent image on the broadcast.

"Bring a propagandist from the Political Department and record the whole thing. Set the title as 'South Suburb Military District Accepts International Survivors with Humanitarianism'."

"Broadcast it to the entire city as soon as it's recorded. Let those factions occupying their own little hills see what the demeanor of a great nation looks like."

He lowered his voice. "Especially Lin Yuan, send it to him first."

After finishing, Director Li Wenhui scanned everyone present. "Whoever dares to obstruct the negotiation is a sinner against the peace of Jiangcheng."

After hearing this, Master Jiu tilted his head and spat out two words: "Idiot."

...

Tiangong No. 1. First-floor living room.

Liu Qing was kneeling on the sofa. Since awakening [Mechanical Master], she no longer needed to guard the server room. As long as there were devices nearby, she could hear the 'breathing' of the machines.

At this moment, she had a laptop on her lap, and the image was projected directly onto the big screen.

"Master, the convoy from the South Suburbs has departed."

Liu Qing tapped her fingertips. The big screen split into two.

One side was a satellite view from above. The other was a street view pieced together from surviving surveillance cameras along the route.

Two military trucks and one jeep. A piece of white cloth was actually tied to the front of the jeep, appearing extremely conspicuous on the ruined streets of Jiangcheng.

Lin Yuan stood in front of the screen with his hands in his pockets.

The zombies were the same as in his previous life, mostly huddled in dark places like underground parking lots, the lower floors of shopping malls, and subway tunnels.

The scattered few were either knocked flying by the trucks or shot to death by the soldiers.

Tang Qiqi was holding a bag of potato chips, chewing rapidly with a crunching sound.

"Good grief. You call this a negotiation? This is clearly free door-to-door delivery."

Qin Yumo snatched the chips away from her. "If you keep eating, you're really going to get fat."

Tang Qiqi hugged the air, her expression like she had just lost a loved one.

Captain Han Xue stood by the door. She stared at the young soldiers on the screen, her fingers clenching tighter and tighter.

Those people were not old. One of the soldiers guarding the truck was even checking his helmet strap, his movements as clumsy as someone who had just stepped onto the battlefield.

These people were clearly civilians just recruited by Director Li Wenhui; they became soldiers the moment they picked up a gun.

Captain Han Xue's voice was tight. "Will they die?"

Lin Yuan glanced at Captain Han Xue, his tone indifferent. "Those people from across the sea are in urgent need of establishing a safe zone."

He picked up the lighter on the table and lit a cigarette. "Director Li Wenhui sending supplies at this time is equivalent to voluntarily exposing his belly to a wild dog."

"Guess what the wild dog will do?"

...

Outside the outskirts of the East Suburb Port.

The jeep stopped under the gantry crane. There were newly set up roadblocks ahead. But all around, there was only the sound of sea wind whistling through broken sheet metal.

Director Li Wenhui's secretary opened the car door, holding a megaphone in his hand. Two soldiers stood on the left and right with their guns raised, muzzles pointed downward. The safeties weren't even off.

The propagandist from the Political Department was carrying a camera, and the red light turned on.

The secretary cleared his throat and shouted toward the front: "We are representatives from the South Suburb Military District of Jiangcheng!"

The voice echoed through the empty dock.

Just when the secretary thought there was no one here, a middle-aged man walked out from the shadows of the shipping containers.

He was wearing a reasonably neat suit, carried no weapons, and wore a polite, fake smile on his face.

"Greetings, everyone." The middle-aged man spoke in accented Dragon Kingdom language. "I am the coordinator for the International Refugee Organization."

The secretary let out a sigh of relief. He straightened his back. Director Li was right, it's about the big picture. These people were communicative.

The secretary turned his head to look at the camera, ensuring the lens captured his face clearly.

"The South Suburb Military District is willing to allocate this port as your temporary settlement area."

"The fresh water and canned goods on the trucks are our token of sincerity."

"We hope both sides will maintain restraint and help each other in peace."

The middle-aged man stepped forward and extended his right hand. "Of course. Peace, mutual assistance."

The secretary smiled and extended his hand. Just as their fingertips touched, cold light flashed in the darkness.

A black shadow leaped down from the shipping container behind him. A dull-colored katana cleanly and decisively slashed across the throats of the two soldiers.

Blood sprayed out, splattering the secretary's face.

Chiba Sakura held the sword in one hand and kicked the corpse away with one foot.

"Ah!" The secretary finally screamed, falling to the ground on his backside.

The turn of events happened in half a second.

The two jeep drivers were just about to reach for the pistols at their waists when two toxic needles, as thin as ox hair, shot out simultaneously from the piles of old tires on the left and right, precisely piercing the drivers' necks.

The drivers stiffened, unable to even shout a word, and slumped straight onto the steering wheel.

Over a dozen ninjas in black combat gear emerged from all directions like ghosts.

The soldiers guarding the trucks had just raised their guns when the ninjas' short blades had already severed their hand tendons.

Screams filled the entire factory building.

The propagandist was so scared that his legs went weak. A ninja flashed forward, stabbing a katana through his back and out his chest.

The camera fell to the ground, the lens glass shattered, but the red light was still on.

Chiba Sakura stepped over the blood-soaked ground and walked to the two supply trucks.

She lifted the canvas and took a look at the fresh water, canned goods, and medicine inside. A cold sneer tugged at the corner of her mouth.

Too rich.

This quality of canned goods and purified water was something they never saw in their homeland, which had completely devolved into a radiation-mutated purgatory.

The masters of this land were weaker and stupider than she had imagined.

Chiba Sakura turned around, her gaze landing on the secretary, the only one still alive, who was being held to the ground by two ninjas.

The secretary's face was covered in blood, his whole body trembling like chaff.

Chiba Sakura pulled out a short dagger from the side of her thigh, walked over, and grabbed his hair.

The blade slid along his cheek.

"Don't... please... don't kill me..." The secretary roared lowly, his crotch even feeling a bit warm.

"I'll spare your life to take a message back."

Chiba Sakura flipped her wrist.

"Ah!!!" The secretary let out a shrill scream. His left ear was sliced off at the root, and blood instantly dyed half his neck red.

Chiba Sakura placed the severed ear into the secretary's palm. In an unnoticeable moment, she slipped a micro-tracker into the secretary's shirt pocket.

"Double the tribute tomorrow."
