192: Chapter 192 Don't sleep, the class isn't over yet.
In front of Tiemen Fort.
Xia Qingqiu turned around and looked at the group of people who had been rescued.
Seven girls.
Three boys.
No one raised their hands.
Zhao Gang was lying in the blood, his mouth still twitching.
The inhibitor left him completely paralyzed, yet his mouth could still squeeze out sound.
"See…"
"They don't dare."
Xia Qingqiu crouched down, meeting Gu Nian's gaze at eye level.
She didn't rush her.
She only pulled the coat draped over Gu Nian's shoulders up a bit.
"Teacher is here."
Three words.
Very soft.
Yet in front of Tiemen Fort, no one dared to make a sound.
Gu Nian looked up, staring into the eyes behind Xia Qingqiu's lenses.
Her hand lifted from her knee.
Very slowly.
She pointed at a man with a buzz cut behind Zhao Gang.
The man with the buzz cut's expression changed instantly.
"It wasn't me!"
"I never touched her!"
"Old San told me to watch the door!"
Before he could finish.
Qin Yumo struck the back of his knee with the spine of her blade.
Crack.
The man with the buzz cut collapsed to his knees, a scream erupting from his throat.
A second hand was raised.
A third.
A fourth.
The silence was torn open.
"Him."
"And him."
"That one wearing gray clothes."
"Zhao Gang was there too."
"All five of them entered the room."
In front of Tiemen Fort, the expressions of dozens of men changed simultaneously.
Some began to retreat.
Qin Yumo held her blade horizontally.
"Take one step back, and you die."
No one moved.
Soon, the people pointed out were kneeling in a row.
Nine of them.
Some kowtowed.
Some cried out their innocence.
Some wept, saying they had wives and children.
The metallic skin on Zhao Gang's body peeled away piece by piece, revealing the bruised flesh underneath.
Lin Yuan glanced at him.
"Defective awakening serum."
Qin Yumo looked sideways.
"No physical enhancement, just shoving the Superpower into the body by force."
"No wonder he's so fragile."
Zhao Gang's eyes rolled, blood foam bubbling from his mouth.
He wanted to curse, but even his tongue wouldn't obey him.
Coupled with the constant bleeding from his arms, Zhao Gang felt a wave of angina.
Xia Qingqiu walked up to him.
Green light shone from her palm as she pressed it into Zhao Gang's chest.
His fading heartbeat was forcibly pulled back by her.
Zhao Gang's pupils constricted.
Xia Qingqiu looked down at him.
"It's not your turn to die yet."
As these words fell.
The wind in front of Tiemen Fort paused for an instant.
Gu Nian stood up.
She walked to the man with the buzz cut.
She stood there for five seconds.
Then she looked back at Xia Qingqiu.
"Teacher Xia."
"I want to…"
She swallowed.
"I want to kill him."
Xia Qingqiu looked at Lin Yuan.
Lin Yuan raised his hand.
A ripple of space fluctuated.
A dagger landed on the gravel.
The hilt facing up.
Gu Nian bent down and pulled out the dagger.
Her hand was shaking.
The man with the buzz cut cried until snot ran to his mouth.
"Gu Nian! I was wrong!"
"I was really wrong!"
"I just… liked you!"
The first stab was off-target.
It slashed across his shoulder.
The man with the buzz cut screamed until his whole face twisted.
Gu Nian stepped back twice, the knife in her hand nearly dropping.
Xia Qingqiu walked over, her face pale, and held her hand from behind.
"Don't be afraid."
"Just use force."
The second stab went in.
The man with the buzz cut's scream hit the iron gate and bounced back.
Gu Nian closed her eyes for a moment.
The third stab.
The man with the buzz cut fell into a pool of blood.
She released the dagger and stood where she was.
She didn't cry.
She just stared at her own hands.
The second girl stepped forward and picked up the knife.
She was faster than Gu Nian.
Two stabs.
It was over.
The third girl vomited after stabbing him, crouching to the side and dry-heaving.
After vomiting, she stood up again and passed the knife to the person behind her.
Nine people, five died.
When the sixth one fell, Zhao Gang finally squeezed out a complete sentence.
"That's enough, right…"
"They've had their revenge…"
"Mr. Lin… spare my life…"
"I'll be your dog…"
Lin Yuan didn't look at him.
Xia Qingqiu crouched in front of Zhao Gang.
"You said it earlier."
"People say no with their mouths, but their bodies are more honest than their brains."
She picked up the dagger.
"Let me test your body."
The first stab.
Into the outer thigh of Zhao Gang's leg.
Avoiding the artery.
Zhao Gang couldn't move his whole body, but every bit of the pain flooded into his brain.
He squeezed a distorted howl from his mouth.
Xia Qingqiu pulled out the blade.
Blood gushed out.
The next second, green light covered the wound.
The muscles began to heal.
The wound just closed.
The second stab went in.
In the same spot.
Zhao Gang's eyeballs rolled up, only gasping sounds left in his throat.
Xia Qingqiu healed him again.
Stabbed again.
The third time.
The fourth time.
Every time it healed, new pain receptors grew.
Every time it pierced, it tore open the flesh that had just healed.
By the sixth time, a girl stepped forward.
"Teacher Xia."
"I want to, too."
Xia Qingqiu moved aside.
The girl took the knife.
Stab.
Xia Qingqiu healed.
Stab again.
Heal again.
One by one.
They stood in line, as if making up a long-overdue assignment.
Zhao Gang's voice grew lower and lower.
Lin Yuan exchanged an adrenaline shot from the shop and injected it into his neck.
"Don't sleep."
"Class isn't over yet."
Zhao Gang's tears, snot, and blood were mixed together.
Half an hour later.
Xia Qingqiu's green light flickered twice and went out.
She knelt on the gravel.
Her hands supporting her on the ground.
Two buttons of her black coat burst open, her white shirt was soaked through with blood, and the zipper on the side of her tight skirt had split open.
What Tang Qiqi caused this morning was a joke.
Now, it wasn't.
Now, it was another Xia Qingqiu walking out of that gentle shell.
She looked at her blood-covered hands.
Suddenly, she began to tremble.
Tears fell.
No sound.
She took off her glasses.
The lenses were covered in blood spots.
She opened her mouth, but only let out a sob.
This sound was like a switch.
She crouched next to Zhao Gang, hugging her own shoulders, her whole body trembling violently.
Lin Yuan walked over.
He scooped her into his arms.
Xia Qingqiu's face buried into his chest.
Her hands grabbed the front of his shirt.
Lin Yuan wrapped one arm around her back and placed his other hand on the back of her head.
He didn't coax her.
Nor did he say pretty words.
He just let her lean on him.
Gu Nian stood to the side, watching this scene.
She looked down and gently placed the dagger on the ground.
Qin Yumo walked over and handed her a clean cloth.
"Wipe your hands."
Gu Nian took it.
Qin Yumo glanced at the corpses on the ground.
"In the future, when using a knife, don't let your wrist shake."
"If it shakes, it's easy to miss."
Gu Nian was stunned for a moment.
Then she nodded.
"Mm."
Lin Yuan, holding Xia Qingqiu, swept his gaze toward the corner of the iron gate.
Zhou Lan was kneeling there.
Her short hair was messy.
There was no color on her face.
She noticed Lin Yuan looking at her and immediately prostrated herself, kowtowing.
"Mr. Lin!"
"I never touched anyone!"
Jiang Hao, holding Liu Bin's head, jerked his head up.
"Did you ever stop them?"
"When he died, you were standing right there, weren't you?"
"It was you who told Zhao Gang that Liu Bin hid the warehouse key in the sole of his shoe!"
Zhou Lan kowtowed until her forehead bled.
"I couldn't stop them!"
"I was afraid of dying!"
"Zhao Gang had someone behind him!"
"He didn't come here on his own!"
Lin Yuan released Xia Qingqiu.
Xia Qingqiu leaned in the crook of his arm, greedily breathing in that scent of peace, not looking up.
Lin Yuan looked at Zhou Lan.
"Continue."
Zhou Lan's lips trembled for a long time.
"The capital…"
"People from the capital's National Emergency Response Team."
Lin Yuan's gaze paused.
As expected.
