132: Chapter 132 Han Xue's Rabbit Tail Appears Online, Ninth Master Immediately Leaves the Southern Suburbs Group Chat

East of Jiangcheng, an abandoned toll station.

The night wind kicked up plastic bags on the ground.

A small truck roared through the night, its cargo bed piled high with compressed biscuits, canned meat, and several barrels of fuel, all stamped with the South Suburb Military District logo.

This was a Ninja Guild squad returning from looting the South Suburb Military District granary.

The leading Chunin sat in the passenger seat, tossing a small bag of white crystal cores in his hand.

The South Suburb Military District was already in total chaos; he was certain that those useless people from the Dragon Kingdom couldn't organize a pursuit.

"The Dragon Kingdom is softer than we imagined."

"That group of refugees cried so noisily; we can just clean them up next time."

"We'll ask for another batch of food tomorrow. If they don't deliver, we'll just go again."

The truck's headlights swept across the toll station barrier.

A tall figure blocked the middle of the road.

Qin Yumo wore a black tactical vest, her red hair dancing wildly in the night wind.

She held dual blades in her hands, the tips pointing diagonally toward the ground.

On either side lay a few headless zombies.

In front of her were several stone bollards that had appeared from nowhere.

If the truck hit them head-on, it would certainly be destroyed, and everyone inside would die.

"Brake!" the driver jerked the steering wheel.

The tires screeched against the ground as the truck skidded sideways for over ten meters.

The three ninjas quickly jumped out of the truck, gripping short blades and spreading out in a fan formation.

The ninja acting as the driver climbed onto the roof in the shadows and pulled out a blowgun.

The Chunin stared at Qin Yumo.

He spoke in broken Dragon Kingdom language.

"You, what kind of work?"

Qin Yumo loosened her shoulders, her joints cracking audibly.

She curled her lips, her eyes fiercer than a beast's.

"Trash doesn't deserve to know."

The Chunin didn't understand everything, but he understood the word "trash."

A murderous glint flashed in his eyes, and his fingers twitched slightly.

Bang!

Two smoke bombs exploded at Qin Yumo's feet.

White smoke instantly obscured her vision.

The two Genin coordinated perfectly, sliding low across the ground, their short blades aiming straight for Qin Yumo's legs.

Qin Yumo didn't dodge.

She lifted her foot, her military boot slamming heavily onto the right Genin's wrist.

The sound of crunching bones rang out.

Then, she swung her left blade, directly severing half of the left Genin's shoulder.

Just then, the shadow at Qin Yumo's feet suddenly twisted.

Ninjutsu! [Shadow Binding]

The shadow on the ground turned into black ropes, rapidly climbing up her ankles and pinning her legs in place.

The Chunin had appeared behind Qin Yumo at some point.

He held a katana with both hands, the blade slicing toward Qin Yumo's throat.

The "Chunin" in front dissipated in the smoke; it was just a residual image distraction.

Qin Yumo tilted her head.

The katana grazed her neck, cutting a bloody gash into her shoulder.

Fresh blood gushed out, staining her black vest red.

"Die," the Chunin snorted coldly.

But Qin Yumo smiled.

Pain shot through her entire body.

S-rank [Wild Resonance] ignited.

Violent power exploded from deep within her muscles, and she struggled fiercely.

Crack!

The shadow ropes binding her legs were ripped apart by her overwhelming strength.

Qin Yumo didn't even turn her head; relying only on the scent of blood and the sound of the wind, she thrust her right-hand short blade backward.

Puchi!

The blade pierced through the Chunin's chest.

The tip of the blade protruded from his back, trailing a string of blood droplets.

The Chunin's eyes bulged, he twitched twice, and then stopped breathing completely.

The ninja on the truck roof holding the blowgun was terrified.

He looked at the corpse on the ground, didn't hesitate to jump off the truck, and turned to sprint toward the drainage ditch.

Qin Yumo shook the blood off her blade and was about to give chase.

"That's enough."

A low voice came from the darkness.

Lin Yuan walked out from behind an abandoned car, his hands in his pockets.

He glanced at the corpse on the ground.

"Leave one alive to go back and report. Dogs don't learn unless they get beaten."

Qin Yumo immediately sheathed her blade, stepped aside, and stood with her head bowed.

The violent Valkyrie from a moment ago instantly transformed into an obedient guard in front of Lin Yuan.

Lin Yuan walked to the back of the truck.

He activated his Spatial Ability.

The entire truckload of supplies vanished into Lin Yuan's space.

...

Tiangong No. 1, living room.

On the large screen, the footage transmitted by the drone had just ended.

Tang Qiqi hugged her Pikachu pillow, rolling around on the sofa in excitement.

"Wow! The Valkyrie went god-mode! These little punks wearing night-crawling clothes actually wanted to steal from the Great Demon King!"

Captain Han Xue stood by the door.

She stared at the supplies retrieved on the screen, then looked at Lin Yuan's face, which was cold to the point of cruelty.

The South Suburb Military District had been bitten by wild dogs, and Director Li Wenhui only knew how to shrink into his shell.

But Lin Yuan went out directly and smashed the wild dogs' teeth in.

In this rotting Jiangcheng, the rules had long since changed.

Captain Han Xue turned around and returned to her room on the B1 level.

From the bottom drawer of her bedside table, she took out a white, fluffy object.

Captain Han Xue looked at herself in the mirror.

The once proud deputy captain of the criminal police had been crushed into fragments by the apocalypse.

She bit her lip, reached behind her back, and clicked the tail with the metal clasp onto the designated spot on the back of her tactical belt.

Click.

A crisp sound.

Captain Han Xue closed her eyes.

In the drawer lay her police badge, which she no longer wore.

...

East suburbs of Jiangcheng, abandoned shipyard.

Chiba Sakura stood in front of the dry dock.

The Genin who had just fled back was kneeling at her feet.

After hearing the report, Chiba Sakura kicked a nearby scrap metal barrel, sending it flying.

"You're saying a red-haired woman broke [Shadow Binding] with a single blade?"

The Genin trembled, his head pressed to the ground. "Yes! That woman has immense strength; she's practically a monster!"

Chiba Sakura looked toward the direction of the city center.

"We underestimated this land."

"A direct confrontation is not in our favor right now."

Chiba Sakura's eyes turned venomous.

"Send an envoy to the South Suburbs. The people of the Dragon Kingdom love to play at checks and balances."

"Once our roots are firmly planted, we'll kill them all one by one."

...

The next day. South Suburb Military District headquarters.

Director Li Wenhui sat behind his desk, dark circles under his eyes.

The granary was burned last night, and thousands of refugees rioted all night; he had just suppressed the unrest with machine guns.

Now, an envoy in a neat suit stood politely before him.

"Li-san, last night was a misunderstanding."

"We are new here and don't understand the rules."

The envoy bowed.

Director Li Wenhui kept a dark face and said nothing.

The envoy continued: "To express our apologies, the Ninja Guild is willing to provide you with tactical support."

"As long as you designate the East Suburb dock and the old shipyard as our temporary base, we will not interfere with the management of Jiangcheng."

The envoy looked up, revealing an incredibly precise smile.

"Moreover, we can help you do some things that might be inconvenient for you to do yourself."

"After all, that is the very reason the Ninja Guild exists."

"Additionally, we require your side to dispatch one hundred healthy female laborers to assist in cleaning up the dock."

Director Li Wenhui's hand holding his thermos paused.

He had guns and men, but there were some things that the "righteous" him found inconvenient to do.

Those students from Jiang University were a thorn in his side, and Lin Yuan was practically trampling on his face.

If he borrowed this blade...

Bang!

Master Jiu, who was sitting nearby, suddenly slammed his palm onto the coffee table.

"Bullshit!"

Master Jiu stood up and pointed at the envoy's nose.

"You burned the granary last night, and today you come here with a smiling face, and now you're friends?"

Master Jiu turned to glare at Director Li Wenhui.

"Director Li, are you blind? This isn't negotiating a partnership; this is opening a sheep pen for wolves!"

Director Li Wenhui put down his thermos heavily.

"Your head is full of the violent, brawling mindset of old-society thugs!"

"Those who come are guests; if you don't understand that, then shut up!"

Master Jiu looked at Director Li Wenhui's twisted and excited face and suddenly laughed.

It was a laugh of utter desolation.

"Back when I was running the streets, even the most low-life vagrants knew that when a foreign enemy comes to your door, you don't invite them into your home."

Master Jiu reached out and tore the armband representing the South Suburb Military District off his sleeve.

Plop.

He tossed the armband at Director Li Wenhui's feet.

"You go ahead and be your traitor director. I'm done serving."

Master Jiu turned and strode out.

"Stop! If you dare to leave, the South Suburbs will never recognize you again!" Director Li Wenhui roared from behind.

Master Jiu didn't even turn his head.

He pushed open the door and, with his group of trusted brothers waiting outside, left the South Suburbs immediately.

Director Li Wenhui looked at the envoy apologetically.

"Comfort... no, regarding the female laborers, I'll help you find a way in a moment..."

...

Two hours later.

Jiangcheng University.

After hearing Master Jiu's story, Chu Feng slammed his fist onto the iron table.

A deep dent was smashed into the tabletop, sparks flying.

"Director Li Wenhui is insane! He actually gave the dock to those devils!"

Chu Feng gritted his teeth, his eyes full of rage.

"He's abandoned his bottom line!"

Master Jiu pulled out a chair and sat down, lighting a cigarette for himself.

"He's not insane; he's afraid of losing his power."

"Although I'm not a good person, when it comes to dealing with the devils, I'm on the same page as you."

"I brought these brothers here to join forces with you. If these dogs dare to come, we'll kill them together."

In the corner, Bai Jingchen's face was pale.

He had just consumed ten white crystal cores to get the prompt about the East Suburbs from the system.

At this moment, he was holding his nose, blood streaming down between his fingers.

A slip of paper appeared in his hand out of thin air.

Bai Jingchen pushed the slip of paper to the center of the table, his voice extremely weak.

"Master Jiu is right. Director Li Wenhui has no idea how much trouble he's caused."

There were only six words on the paper.

[The East Suburbs are just the beginning.]
