149: Chapter 149 The Little Queen Speaks, Ten Thousand Corpses Attack the Abandoned Port in the Eastern Suburbs at Night

The Abandoned Port in the East Suburbs.

The fog was thick.

Abandoned cranes tilted at the edge of the pier, containers were piled into black walls, and waterlogged trucks were half-submerged in the sewage.

In the distance, a super cruise ship sat in the black water.

The hull looked like a skyscraper lying on its side.

Barbed wire, anti-cavalry obstacles, tripmines, and hidden sentries sealed the port into a hedgehog's nest.

The sea breeze carried the smell of blood. And the smell of diesel.

Further away, the cries of survivors could be heard.

Lin Yuan stood behind an abandoned container truck, looking up at the cruise ship.

Liu Qing's voice came through the earpiece.

"Master, thermal imaging shows at least two hundred Genin on the outer perimeter."

Wang Ya raised her hand. A wisp of water snaked along the ground into the drainage ditch and quickly retreated.

"Mr. Lin, the bottom entrance is sealed by poison mist, and there are traps."

Qin Yumo gripped her twin blades. "I'll slaughter my way in from the front."

Lin Yuan didn't look at her. "A waste of time."

Qin Yumo paused.

Lin Yuan looked at the unlit area on the bottom level of the cruise ship. "Killing a few Genin is meaningless. I want that old dog inside."

In the shadows, seven members of the Zombie Assault Team crouched. They wore protective suits that Tang Qiqi had modified overnight, with simple steel plates sewn onto the outer layer and a crooked lightning bolt emblem stuck on their chests.

Lin Motong held the violent bear, standing behind Lin Yuan. The red light in her eyes was very faint. Like she hadn't woken up yet.

The next second. A shuriken pinned itself to the metal of the container truck. Clang!

The patrolling ninjas discovered something unusual. A dozen crossbow bolts pierced through the fog.

Wang Ya raised her hand, expanding a water shield to block all the hidden weapons.

Lin Motong looked up. Her voice was very soft. "Kill."

Seven black shadows pounced out.

A few Genin, thinking they were ordinary zombies, drew their blades to engage in close combat. However, the first strike hit the steel plate of the protective suit, only sparking.

The next second. A B-Class Jumping Mutant descended from the sky, stomping on a Genin's chest. Crack. The sternum collapsed. That Genin didn't even manage to scream.

The Chunin beside him was just about to weave hand signs when a speed-type Mutant was already in his face, pressing both hands on his head and smashing it against a container. Blood smeared onto the metal.

The ninja defensive line was in chaos for three seconds. Three seconds was enough.

The Zombie Assault Team tore open the first gap.

Lin Yuan walked forward, stepping over broken barbed wire. A Genin was pinned to the ground by a bone spike and bit down on the poison sac in his teeth.

Liu Qing immediately warned. "Master, they are triggering the alarm."

A sharp siren blared on the cruise ship. The deck searchlights simultaneously turned toward the pier.

A large number of black shadows poured out from the cabins, behind the containers, and from the warehouses on the shore.

The ninjas' reaction was fast. Steel nets were fired, covering a C-Class Mutant. Immediately after, oil canisters were thrown down. Flames erupted. The Mutant struggled in the steel net, and its protective suit was scorched.

Wang Ya raised her hand. Water surged from the pier's drainage ditch, extinguishing the flames. She flicked her wrist, and a water whip lashed out. Two Genin had their necks snapped, their bodies flying into the sea.

Lin Yuan glanced at the battlefield. The seven members of the Zombie Assault Team could tear a gap, but they couldn't tear through the entire wall.

Lin Motong understood too. She hugged the violent bear tightly and took half a step forward.

Wang Ya immediately blocked her side. "Mo Tong, don't get too far from me."

Lin Motong nodded. Then she looked up, gazing at the ruined city outside the port. Her voice was very soft. "Come over."

This sentence was not loud. But it was as if it fell into the entire underground of Jiangcheng.

In the abandoned mall, the zombies crowded under the escalator looked up simultaneously. At the subway entrance, dense crowds of gray-white faces turned toward the East Suburb. In the sewage channels, crawling infected stopped feeding.

At the end of the street. The first batch of zombies began to run. Then the second batch. The third batch. A black tide pressed toward the port from all directions.

High up in the port, a Chunin saw the Zombie Horde surging from the distant streets, and his expression finally changed.

"Baka!" "Why would a Zombie Horde come here!"

No one answered him. The first wave of the Zombie Horde hit the barbed wire. The front row was blown apart by tripmines. The back rows trampled over the corpses and kept charging. The corpses piled up into a slope, directly crossing the anti-cavalry obstacles.

The ninja firing points fired crazily. Bullets shattered one row, and ten more rows replaced them. They threw poison smoke into the Zombie Horde. It was useless. Zombies didn't fear pain. Nor did they negotiate. The poison smoke instead obscured the ninjas' own vision.

Lin Yuan raised his hand. "Move."

Qin Yumo rushed out first. Wang Ya protected Lin Motong, her water shield blocking stray bullets. The Zombie Assault Team regrouped and, under the cover of the Zombie Horde, cut toward the boarding gate.

In front of the cruise ship's boarding bridge. A tall figure stood out. It was a remaining Jonin. He was nearly two meters tall, holding twin short blades, and wrapped in black and purple mist.

He sliced two ordinary zombies in half with one strike. Then he kicked a C-Class Mutant away. The Mutant crashed into a container, denting the metal.

The Jonin looked up, gazing at Lin Yuan and the others. "This path is closed."

Qin Yumo's eyes lit up. "This one is mine."

Lin Yuan walked past her, leaving only one sentence. "Three minutes."

Qin Yumo grinned. "Enough."

The Jonin crossed his twin blades, his body suddenly lunging forward. His speed wasn't as tricky as Chiba Sakura's, but his strength was heavier. The first strike came down, carrying a booming sound in the air.

In the past, Qin Yumo would have taken it head-on. But this time, she sidestepped half a step. The tips of her feet slid across the ground. The blade grazed past her shoulder.

The words Grandmaster Ling Suzhen said during the day flashed through her mind. Force is not for colliding. It is for stealing.

Qin Yumo used the momentum of the opponent's downward slash to close in. Before his short blade could rotate back, her left-hand blade had already slashed out. Pfft. The Jonin's tendon was severed.

His expression changed. "You aren't that red-haired woman who only knows how to slash hard?"

Qin Yumo raised her knee, slamming it into his abdomen. "I learn fast."

The Jonin retreated half a step, and the black and purple mist surged violently. Qin Yumo's shoulder was sliced open by the short blade, and blood instantly stained her vest red. Instead, she laughed. S-Class [Wild Resonance] activated. Pain ignited power. Her red hair flew up.

Her twin blades pressed forward like two red lines. The Jonin's first strike was deflected. The second strike was parried aside. The third time, before he could even make a move, Qin Yumo had already crashed into his chest, pinning his shoulder with one blade.

She spoke close to his ear. "To block the way, you need the skill to do it."

Bang! The Jonin was kicked off the boarding bridge. The boarding gate opened.

Lin Yuan didn't wait for her to deliver the finishing blow. He raised his right hand, and a water line sliced the Jonin's throat.

Lin Yuan crossed the boarding gate and went directly inside the cruise ship. The cabin was narrow. The walls were covered with Japanese talismans. There was dried blood on the floor.

The passenger cabins had been turned into prison cells, with survivors locked behind iron bars. Some had been drained of blood until they were unconscious. Some saw Lin Yuan and reached out for help.

Lin Yuan didn't stop. He wasn't here to save people.

Two hidden sentries pounced from a corner. A water line swept past. Throats opened. The corpses fell to the ground.

The further down they went, the colder the air became. The sound of a wooden fish came from the bottom level. Dong. Dong. Dong. It was mixed with strange wheezing. It sounded like someone was chanting sutras at the bottom of the ship.

Lin Yuan went all the way down. B2 Restaurant. B3 Casino. B4 Engine Room. In front of the last iron door, dozens of dried ears were hanging. There was a smell of blood behind the door. Very thick.

Lin Yuan pushed the door open. In the altar room, candlelight flickered. Bones were piled all around. In the center, a crystal core and blood bowls were placed. A short, thin old man sat cross-legged in the middle of the bones. In front of him was a female corpse that had been drained dry.

His skin clung to his bones, and the black robe on his body looked like it was hanging on a dried corpse.

The Ninja Guild elder slowly raised his eyes. "A junior from the Dragon Kingdom. You dare to come down alone?"

Lin Yuan walked into the altar. Water flowed out from beneath his feet. He glanced at those blood bowls. "What is the real plan for you coming to Jiangcheng?"

The elder chuckled dryly. "The dead don't need to know."

Lin Yuan stopped at the edge of the altar. "What a coincidence. I also want to see if the so-called Ninja Guild elder is worth me taking action myself."
