12: This is my city! My God!
The propellers churned the air, emitting a deafening roar.
Five Ka-50 Black Shark Attack Helicopters were like five ancient behemoths waking from their slumber.
Their massive fuselages slowly ascended under the power of their strong engines.
Gomez sat in the co-pilot seat, feeling the slight tremors emanating from the fuselage.
Along with that pure, violent mechanical aesthetic, he was so excited that his face turned flushed red.
Through the cockpit glass, he saw that down in the valley, his men and Pedro's men had become as small as ants.
This feeling of having everything under his feet intoxicated him.
The five helicopters quickly formed a standard attack formation in the air, circled once, as if paying tribute to their new master.
"Hahahaha! Awesome! This is so damn awesome!" Gomez couldn't help but laugh out loud.
He turned his head and roared at the expressionless Death Sworn pilot beside him: "Stop circling here! Fly! Go to the Santa Ana Cartel!"
The pilot did not look away, his voice coming through the internal communication system, calm without a ripple.
"Sir, I need to request instructions from my person in charge."
The smile on Gomez's face froze for a moment, then turned somewhat displeased.
But before he could flare up, the pilot had already connected to Pedro's communication.
Far away on the high ground on the other side of the valley, David was holding a cup of coffee, leisurely watching the transaction site.
Everything was going smoothly.
The money and goods were exchanged, and everyone was happy.
Just then, Pedro beside him received the pilot's request through an encrypted channel.
After listening, Pedro's expression became a bit strange; he walked to David's side and reported in a low voice.
"Boss, Gomez wants our pilot to fly the helicopter and take him for a spin around the Santa Ana Cartel city."
"Huh?"
David almost spat out his coffee.
"A spin around the city? What does he want to do? A military parade?"
David couldn't help but retort.
The thought processes of these South American drug lords are truly not something normal people can understand.
Showing off? Or does he want to experience what it feels like to be president in advance?
He thought about it and felt it wasn't a big deal.
It was Bolivia's airspace anyway, not the backyard of the US, so who could stop Gomez from flying a circle over his own territory?
He could even use the opportunity to give his products a live advertisement.
"Tell the pilot to listen to him. The customer is God, after all; satisfy this small wish of his." David waved his hand nonchalantly.
Pedro nodded and immediately relayed the order.
With permission granted, the five Ka-50 Black Shark Attack Helicopters stopped circling, turned their noses, and headed in the direction of the Santa Ana Cartel city.
They accelerated suddenly like an arrow released from a bowstring.
To avoid being detected by military radar, the pilots displayed superb skills.
Flying the helicopters while hugging the contours of the rolling mountains, they performed a low-altitude penetration.
The Bolivian military's radar system was already dilapidated, and its coverage was limited.
For such "illegal" aircraft flying close to the ground, they were completely blind.
A massive blind spot.
Soon, the outline of the Santa Ana Cartel city appeared on the horizon.
When the five armed helicopters, painted in pitch black and with terrifyingly hideous shapes, swept over the edge of the city at low altitude in a highly oppressive formation, the entire city was in an uproar.
Pedestrians on the street stopped, looked up at the sky, their faces full of shock and confusion.
"My God! What is that?"
"Is that a military helicopter? Why haven't I seen this model before?"
"It looks so scary... Is there going to be a war?"
The citizens discussed it heatedly, and many had already taken out their phones to start filming this rare scene.
Inside the helicopter, Gomez's subordinate Miguel's face turned pale; he leaned over to Gomez.
He nervously reminded him: "Boss, isn't it too flashy for us to do this? What if the military side..."
"What's there to be afraid of!"
Gomez was enjoying the awe-filled gazes cast by countless people below, his mood at an all-time high.
He slapped Miguel on the back of his head and roared arrogantly:
"This is my city! My God!"
"I am just telling everyone who the real master here is!"
He suddenly seemed to remember something, a flash of cruel and excited light in his eyes, and gave a new order to the pilot.
"Turn! Go to the Anti-Drug Bureau headquarters building!"
This order was clearly transmitted through the communication channel to David's ears in the valley.
The relaxation and comfort on David's face instantly solidified.
The Anti-Drug Bureau? Damn it!
David's heart skipped a beat, and a sense of foreboding surged into his mind.
This lunatic, he didn't want to show off... he wanted to take revenge!
The Anti-Drug Bureau of the Santa Ana Cartel has the shadow of the US DEA behind it!
Touching it is equivalent to directly slapping the US in the face!
"Fuck!"
David stood up abruptly, the coffee cup in his hand crushed into pieces.
"Pedro! Contact the pilot immediately! Tell him..."
Before he finished speaking, David stopped abruptly.
What should he tell him to do?
Refuse Gomez's order? And then have a shootout with two or three hundred Cartel gunmen in this valley?
Or kidnap Gomez?
He shouldn't have agreed to let this lunatic fly into the sky!
Damn it! How could he have forgotten that for these desperadoes, the first thing to do after getting stronger weapons is definitely to take out their enemies!
This has gotten out of hand!
Once this matter blows up, the US CIA will definitely swarm over like sharks smelling blood.
And when they follow the trail to find him...
Cold sweat seeped from David's forehead.
Santa Ana Cartel Anti-Drug Bureau headquarters.
Director Fernando Rigo, a tough guy from a military background, was standing in front of his office window.
The roar of the helicopters made him frown.
When he saw clearly the model of those five helicopters, his pupils shrank sharply.
Ka-50 "Black Shark"!
This is not any model in the Bolivian military's equipment sequence!
"Contact the Air Force Commander immediately!"
Fernando Rigo roared at his subordinate, "Ask them what the origin of these helicopters is!"
However, his subordinate hadn't had time to pick up the phone.
In the sky, those five steel behemoths had already bared their fangs.
The lead Ka-50's nose dipped slightly, and the mounted rocket launcher pods spewed out streaks of fire!
Dozens of rockets, trailing white smoke, roared like the scythe of death, smashing into the Anti-Drug Bureau building!
Boom! Boom! Boom—!
The violent explosions merged into one, and the middle and upper floors of the building were instantly swallowed by a sea of fire.
The shockwave, carrying glass shards and concrete chunks, spread crazily in all directions.
Inside the office, the police officers who were working normally a second ago were torn to pieces the next second.
Screams and wails instantly resounded throughout the building.
But this was only the beginning.
After the rocket bombardment, the 30mm cannons on the five helicopters opened fire simultaneously!
Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat!
The dull and highly penetrating sound of the cannons composed a movement of death.
The metal storm composed of high-explosive warheads crazily licked every inch of the building's walls.
The reinforced concrete building was as fragile as paper in front of military-grade weapons.
The walls were beaten into a sieve, huge holes constantly appearing, and the whole building was teetering on the verge of collapse.
Blood gushed out from the broken windows, staining the walls red.
Inside the helicopter cockpit, Gomez watched the hell on earth below, a look of extreme satisfaction and joy on his face.
He seemed to be able to hear the wails of the anti-drug police he had hated so much in the past, dying in despair.
"Hahahaha! Did you see that! This is the consequence of going against me!"
After a round of crazy strafing, the entire Anti-Drug Bureau building had turned into a honeycomb spewing black smoke, and not a single living person could be seen.
"Well done!" Gomez patted the pilot's seat with satisfaction, "Return to base!"
In the valley, David witnessed this one-sided massacre through the real-time footage transmitted by the drone.
His face was livid, his fists clenched, making a rattling sound.
"Lunatic! This complete and total lunatic!"
He cursed angrily and kicked over the table beside him.
Things had completely spiraled out of control.
Now is not the time for anger; he must run away immediately!
"Pedro!" David's voice was freezing cold.
"Wait for Gomez to return, collect the remaining money! Not a single cent less! Then take your men and evacuate immediately!"
"Juan!" He turned to his bodyguard captain, "You take twenty brothers, escort me, we'll take another route! Immediately!"
"Jose!" David finally ordered into the communicator.
"You take the others to continue the ambush here; after Pedro and the others have evacuated safely, then you leave!"
The order was given, and everyone immediately took action.
A few minutes later, the helicopter carrying Gomez landed in the clearing.
He jumped off the plane, face glowing red, in high spirits, as if he had just won a world war.
He walked up to Pedro, and without even waiting for him to speak, waved his hand, having people throw the several large boxes containing the final payment over.
"Hahaha! Good stuff! It's so fucking worth it!"
Gomez laughed heartily, "Tell your boss, in the future, if there are such good goods, notify me first!"
Pedro nodded expressionlessly and had his men count the final payment.
After confirming it was correct, he didn't say a word more, directly took his men, drove off, and quickly departed from the valley.
