120: Chapter 120 Boundary Marker

Saturn's North Pole.

Inside the spaceship, Su Fan stared at the scene before him in shock.

At the very center of Saturn's North Pole, a colossal hexagonal stone tablet stood majestically!

The stone tablet pierced into the clouds, surrounded by countless storm cyclones raging wildly around it.

On every face of the hexagonal stone tablet, four super-sized characters were engraved: ????

"System, how do you read these four characters?" Su Fan asked.

"Canglan Empire!" The system's calm voice caused a massive tremor in Su Fan's heart!

"Canglan Empire... there's actually an empire on Saturn?" Su Fan was incredibly shocked.

But immediately, he dismissed the idea.

He had explored nearly half of Saturn and hadn't found any signs of life, making the establishment of an empire even more impossible.

Furthermore, a hexagonal pillar of this size was definitely not something an ordinary civilization could build.

"System, what is this hexagonal pillar with 'Canglan Empire' written on it?" Su Fan continued to inquire.

"A Boundary Marker," the system replied succinctly.

"Be more specific," Su Fan pressed.

"A Boundary Marker for the Canglan Empire's border, just like the Boundary Markers on Xia Country's borders," the system explained.

"What kind of existence is this Canglan Empire? What level of civilization? Does its territory include the Blue Planet?" Su Fan asked three questions in one breath.

"The first two questions exceed the current scope; I refuse to answer."

"Since the Boundary Marker is on Saturn, theoretically the Solar System belongs to the Canglan Empire. However, because there is a super existence on Europa, the regions of the Solar System beyond Saturn belong to the Canglan Empire."

"The regions within Saturn's orbit are ownerless, or rather, they belong to Xia Country," the system said indifferently.

Hearing this, Su Fan felt a chill in his heart. He hadn't expected to already be in someone else's territory before even leaving the Solar System!

"System, is this Canglan Empire large?" Su Fan still wanted to get some information.

"The question exceeds the scope; I refuse to answer," the system remained indifferent.

"Then aren't you afraid I'll be taken out as soon as I leave the Solar System?!" Su Fan threatened.

"It's not your main body going out; it's just a few Androids dying," the system remained unmoved.

"Then what if this Canglan Empire attacks us?"

"They won't attack; they don't dare cross Saturn. There is a super existence on Europa," the system said calmly.

"So you're saying I can roam around outside freely while my main body is in the home base, protected by a big shot?" Su Fan's eyes lit up. This was great; he wouldn't have any worries.

"As long as you don't provoke the super existence on Europa, that is theoretically true. But if another civilization is unaware of the super existence on Europa and accidentally disturbs that being, you can just wait to be finished," the system replied.

"Don't I still have you, System? Is that super existence even more powerful than you?" Su Fan asked indirectly.

"I can only protect you alone," the system's tone was stiff.

Su Fan fell silent. If something really happened and everyone else died, living on his own wouldn't be very meaningful.

"Sigh..."

"We'll take it one step at a time. I'll try not to mess around too much outside. Even if I do cause a stir, I absolutely cannot let the enemy discover who did it or where the home base is," Su Fan thought to himself.

"Su Fan, what is this pillar? It's huge!" Zhou Xiaoxiao exclaimed.

The Tianyuan Mothership looked incredibly tiny in front of this pillar.

"I'm not sure," Su Fan said, shaking his head.

He didn't plan to tell Zhou Xiaoxiao about the Canglan Empire; at most, he would tell the Great Elder.

"Red Queen, scan the composition of this pillar."

"Scan complete. Composition unknown," Red Queen replied sweetly.

Su Fan nodded. He had expected this result. Information the system refused to answer must be related to matters above the civilization level of Xia Country.

Although Xia Country was currently Level 2, Su Fan had the authority to exchange for Level 3 civilization black technology. Thus, the Canglan Empire was clearly an empire of at least Level 4.

It was normal for Red Queen to be unable to detect the materials of a Level 4 civilization's Boundary Marker.

"Su Fan!"

"Did you see that big pillar on Saturn?!"

The Great Elder ran quickly to the captain's room; his voice arrived before he did.

Su Fan didn't answer directly but smiled at Zhou Xiaoxiao and said, "Xiaoxiao, take our son back to the room. I have some things to discuss with the Great Elder."

Zhou Xiaoxiao nodded understandingly and left carrying Su Mingxia, even closing the door behind her. She was very perceptive.

Once Zhou Xiaoxiao was out, the Great Elder found a seat.

"It's convenient to talk now."

Hearing this, the smile vanished from Su Fan's face, and he said to the Great Elder with a serious expression, "If my guess is correct, this is a Boundary Marker! A national Boundary Marker!"

"Saturn, and the regions beyond Saturn, belong to the owner of this Boundary Marker."

"Those four characters say: Canglan Empire!"

"The territory from Saturn outwards in the Solar System belongs to a civilization called the Canglan Empire!" Su Fan's voice wasn't loud, but every word was like a heavy hammer, smashing into the Great Elder's heart!

The Great Elder's face looked very grim. He frowned deeply and didn't speak for a long time.

After a while, he let out a heavy sigh.

"Su Fan, this news is too shocking. We haven't even left the Solar System, and you're saying Saturn and beyond is another civilization's territory."

"Is this Canglan Empire so overbearing? Their Boundary Marker is practically shoved in our faces!" The Great Elder's expression was poor; this was normal. Anyone would look grim after hearing such news.

Su Fan gave a helpless smile. "Great Elder, this Canglan Empire is most likely much stronger than our Xia Country. We'll have to be careful in the future."

The Great Elder nodded and took a deep breath to calm his agitated mood.

"What do you plan to do next?"

"Next, we'll stick to the original plan and deal with the Lizardman Civilization first. If we don't even have the courage to contact a weak civilization, how can we compete with this Canglan Empire in the future!" Su Fan's tone was firm.

"Good! Very good!" A smile appeared on the Great Elder's face.

"It has to be you young people, daring to think and act! I was just frightened by this news."

"Anyone would be frightened; after all, it's a powerful civilization right at our doorstep," Su Fan said with a smile.

"By the way, quite a few people on the ship must have seen this pillar, or rather, almost everyone has. Great Elder, you need to have them sign a non-disclosure agreement," Su Fan reminded him.

"That's easy. The people on the Tianyuan Mothership are either completely loyal or have clean backgrounds. No need to worry," the Great Elder smiled.

"Alright then, handle it on Mars. Have their main bodies sign it, and set the classification to top secret," Su Fan reminded.

"Red Queen, set the Canglan Empire Boundary Marker at Saturn's North Pole as top secret, viewable only by me and the Great Elder."

"Yes! It has been set!" Red Queen's tone was serious.

"I'll go offline and head back to Mars first. See you later." The Great Elder waved his hand and turned to leave.

Su Fan smiled and watched the Great Elder leave, then turned back to look at the Canglan Empire's Boundary Marker.

"Canglan Empire, we'll meet soon!"

"Red Queen, anchor the position of Proxima Centauri. Set off!"
