51: Chapter 51 Quantum Computer Completed
After testing several times, Zhao Jianguo let out a sigh of relief.
"He's fine. His breathing is normal and strong; there's no immediate danger to his life."
Su Fan also breathed a sigh of relief, looked around, and asked, "Is the enemy still nearby?"
"They fled long ago!" Zhao Jianguo said, looking at the people responsible for protecting Su Fan with a dark expression.
These people were instantly overcome with shame, wishing they could sink into the ground.
In truth, they weren't entirely to blame. The enemy had disregarded all rules of engagement by using rockets within the borders of Xia Nation.
"How much longer until the ambulance arrives?" Su Fan's brow furrowed, his tone urgent. Ye Yifan had been following him for a month now; if he died...
"Five minutes. There's a hospital inside the nearby military base," one of the security personnel protecting Su Fan said softly.
Five minutes later, the ambulance arrived, accompanied by countless soldiers and armored vehicles. Some surrounded Su Fan to protect him, while others fanned out to search in the direction of the enemy.
In the distance, several helicopters were even patrolling the area, attempting to locate the hidden enemies.
Wearing his exoskeleton armor, Su Fan did not follow the main force to the military base. Instead, he had them send someone to escort him back to Nanshan Base.
After what had happened, he was in no mood to test new equipment. He casually sent an electronic manual to Zhao Jianguo, letting him figure out the testing on his own.
Zhao Jianguo arrived at the military base with a grim face. The enemy had been caught, but they had already committed suicide.
The rocket launcher had become scrap metal; the enemy had used a thermite reaction to destroy the weapon before dying.
"Eagle Nation!" Zhao Jianguo clenched his fists.
Scientists from Xia Nation had been assassinated many times, but this was the first time such a weapon of mass destruction like a rocket had been used.
"We must clean house. They even have rockets now, damn it!"
...
Su Fan returned to his home at Nanshan Base. This was a villa specifically printed using a Vacuum Zero-Gravity 3D Printer. The exterior materials were incredibly sturdy, and even the windows were made of special tempered glass.
Once home, he took off the exoskeleton armor and collapsed onto the sofa like a pile of mush.
Details of today's attack kept replaying in his mind.
First came the lingering fear, followed by endless rage.
As a member of the post-90s generation, Su Fan had lived in a peaceful environment since childhood.
Although there was constant news of wars elsewhere on TV and the internet, at most, he would post his opinions online or simply watch as a bystander.
But today, when a shell actually fell on him, he truly felt the terror of his life being threatened.
"Eagle Nation, and the person or organization that provided the rockets... just you wait!" Su Fan's eyes gradually turned dangerous.
After taking a shower in the bathroom, Su Fan put on his exoskeleton armor and headed out.
Right now, only the exoskeleton armor could provide him with a sense of security. Relying on anyone else's protection was not as good as being powerful himself.
Along the way, security personnel within the base stepped forward from time to time to verify Su Fan's identity. Each time, Su Fan simply opened his helmet visor.
Soon, he arrived at the construction workshop for kunpeng no. 1.
Inside the workshop, Su Fan called for Zhang Qiling. After a brief update on the progress, Su Fan took over command and began to accelerate the construction.
And so, Su Fan resumed his life of grueling research.
During this period, big shots from Kyoto called one after another to offer their condolences, promising to give Su Fan an explanation.
Zhou Xiaoxiao learned about the incident later. She was so frightened that her face turned pale; she ran to Su Fan in a panic and hugged him tightly!
At the time, Su Fan was in Underground Workshop No. 1 building kunpeng no. 1. After two days, he was no longer in a state of constant paranoia, so he wasn't wearing the exoskeleton.
Zhou Xiaoxiao's tight embrace nearly smothered him to death on the spot.
The young people in the entire Workshop No. 1 didn't mind the drama at all, shouting "Get together! Get together!"
The scene was as awkward as it could possibly be.
...
Early on the morning of July 5th, Sun Shangxiang called.
"Chairman Su, the quantum computer is finished!"
"It's a day later than expected, I'm sorry, Chairman Su!" Sun Shangxiang said with some shame.
"It's fine. Scientific research is like that; how can estimates be perfectly accurate? It's not a game with a countdown timer," Su Fan comforted her with a smile.
In the Classified Underground Workshop No. 2, Su Fan set off for the location immediately after hanging up.
"Has it been tested?" Su Fan looked at the behemoth before him.
The entire Quantum Supercomputer was massive, composed of many small computing units.
The more computing units, the stronger the processing power.
If you added up every computer in the world, they wouldn't even match a fraction of the Quantum Supercomputer before him.
"Hardware testing is complete. We're just waiting for you to write the system," Sun Shangxiang said, excited yet nervous.
"Alright, move it to the sub-basement. That's where it belongs," Su Fan said after a moment's thought.
Beneath Underground Workshop No. 2, there was another floor that Su Fan had specifically prepared for the Quantum Supercomputer.
"Understood, Chairman Su." Sun Shangxiang began arranging personnel for the move.
Two hours later, Su Fan stood once again before the reassembled Quantum Supercomputer, though he was alone this time.
"Red Queen, start getting used to your new home!" Su Fan took out his phone and spoke to the Red Queen on the screen.
The Red Queen was the ultimate Quantum Supercomputer system, so Su Fan had asked everyone to leave. From now on, this would become a place of the highest security level.
"Alright, Master!" the Red Queen's cute voice rang out.
Although Su Fan had constantly added servers for the Red Queen after becoming successful, the peak processing power of silicon-based chip hardware had its limits. The Red Queen's peak calculation rate couldn't be increased further; he could only increase concurrent calculations.
"Master, did you forget to plug in the network cable?" the Red Queen said aggrievedly.
Su Fan froze, then slapped his forehead. He had forgotten such a critical task. How foolish!
Quickly, Su Fan plugged in the network cable.
This wasn't just any ordinary network cable, but a massive fiber optic cable with bandwidth equivalent to an undersea cable. The transmission rate was extremely high.
Of course, no matter how high it was, it couldn't match the speed of Quantum Communication.
However, there was no other choice; currently, no one else had devices like Miniature Quantum Communicators that could perform Quantum Communication.
Even though this Quantum Supercomputer had a Quantum Communication hardware module loaded in addition to its incredible processing power, its powerful Quantum Communication functions couldn't be utilized for the time being.
It could only obediently connect to the fiber optic cable and then use Quantum Compatibility Technology to convert ordinary signals into quantum signals for processing.
"It seems the Miniature Quantum Communicators need to be popularized as soon as possible!" Su Fan thought to himself.
The phones currently used by the people of Xia Nation were not secure because almost all the chips were designed by Eagle Nation. Vulnerabilities set at the hardware level could not be bypassed at the software level.
Su Fan sighed. It would take some time for the Red Queen to adapt to her new home, and he didn't want to keep running back and forth, so he simply picked up his phone to browse the recent international situation.
