74: Chapter 74 Star-Eating Beast

"The teeth of a Star-Devouring Beast are the hardest part of its body; it only has one set from birth to death."

"You can find a Star-Devouring Beast Emperor and knock out its teeth. Through the teeth, you can determine the migration time."

"Because a Star-Devouring Beast Emperor is born within a short time after a Star-Devouring Beast pack first migrates to a new planet."

Su Fan: "..."

"Four-star big shot, you're asking me, a one-star weakling, to go punch its head and knock out its teeth?" Su Fan pointed at himself and complained frantically.

"There is another way." The system's mechanical voice reached Su Fan's ears, sounding so wonderful.

"Speak up!" A smile appeared on Su Fan's face.

"Once you reach a Level 7 Civilization, you will be able to know."

The smile on Su Fan's face vanished. This method was better left unsaid; it was even more unreliable.

"What are the attack methods of a Star-Devouring Beast?" He thought of the alien spaceship that had been pierced through in the mysterious zone on the Moon.

So, he took out his phone and pulled up a picture of the spaceship for the system to "see."

"There are two types of attack methods for a Star-Devouring Beast," the system continued.

"The first type is using its own body, claws, teeth, and tail to attack."

"The second type is more powerful; it belongs to energy attacks."

"A Star-Devouring Beast has three eyes, arranged similarly to the eyes of Yang Jian in the myths and legends of your Xia Clan."

"The top eye, once opened, can release a ray with powerful destructive force."

"The higher the level of the Star-Devouring Beast's core, the higher the energy level provided to the single eye, and the greater the power."

"The spaceship on the Moon is an F-class vessel. To pierce an F-class vessel in one hit, the attacking Star-Devouring Beast was clearly an adult."

"Why wasn't it a Star-Devouring Beast King or a Star-Devouring Beast Emperor that attacked?" Su Fan was puzzled.

"Because if it had been an attack from a Star-Devouring Beast King or a Star-Devouring Beast Emperor, this spaceship might no longer exist."

"The difference between an E-class attack and a D-class or higher attack is too vast; they are not in the same league!"

"Alright. ~_~" Su Fan fell silent. Such a powerful enemy was impossible to fight for the time being.

"Right!" He suddenly had an idea. "System, everything in the universe has its counter. I don't believe Star-Devouring Beasts are so powerful that they don't even have natural enemies?"

"They do have natural enemies!" the system said.

"What species?" Su Fan was expectant.

"All carbon-based life forms are enemies of the Star-Devouring Beast, and all intelligent carbon-based life forms are its natural enemies."

"Alright, you might as well have said nothing," Su Fan sighed.

Right now, he definitely couldn't win a fight.

However, since Star-Devouring Beasts can't fly anyway, if he wanted to train his troops, he could look for trouble with them on the Moon.

It would be best not to disturb the Star-Devouring Beast packs on Blue Star.

"System, what is the temperament of a Star-Devouring Beast? Will they actively attack surface creatures?" Su Fan inquired.

"Under normal circumstances, they are very gentle and indifferent. They spend most of their time sleeping, and they sleep very soundly, like a stone, with no detectable signs of life."

"However, you must never disturb their sleep!"

"If a Star-Devouring Beast does not wake up naturally but is startled awake by other means, they will become very, very irritable!" The system's mechanical voice seemed to turn serious.

"I'm not that bored to go underground and disturb a Star-Devouring Beast's sleep for no reason." Su Fan sighed in relief. As long as they weren't irritable creatures that destroyed the world at the drop of a hat, things were manageable.

"Respected Host, just because you aren't bored doesn't mean others aren't."

Su Fan was stunned, and then his expression changed drastically.

"According to novel tropes, in this kind of situation, there's always some idiot who frantically seeks death, running to the enemy's nest to dance!"

"No, after returning to Blue Star, I must strictly investigate those who seek death!" Su Fan's gaze became dangerous; he didn't want to encounter any more melodramatic plots.

He had the system now and could develop rapidly. He had to stay low for now, and after a few years when he reached Level 5, he would directly wipe out these Star-Devouring Beast pests!

"System, manifest the Mecha production line first."

Su Fan stopped thinking about the Star-Devouring Beasts. In the end, it was still because his strength was insufficient.

Now, accelerating his upgrades was the way to go.

"Respected Host, the Mecha production line takes up a large area; this workshop doesn't have enough space," the system reminded him.

Su Fan nodded; this was easy to solve.

So, next, he found a huge open space in the base that met the requirements and successfully manifested the Mecha production line.

Looking at the massive production line in front of him, Su Fan wished he could start production immediately.

Unfortunately, there were insufficient raw materials to begin production.

This was a mecha, not a Virtual helmet or a Virtual cabin. Virtual helmets and cabins used fewer materials; some of the minerals left over from the Bionic Nano-Ants digging holes were enough to produce a batch.

The Predator Type-1 Mecha is a humanoid mecha and is enormous, standing at a full 99 meters tall. It is the largest type among E-class mechas.

Such a large mecha required a lot of materials; the few minerals remaining in the base were not nearly enough.

"System, exchange for a few Multi-functional intelligent mining vehicles—F-class will do. I need them to help me mine some ore on the Moon."

"Respected Host, the F-class Multi-functional intelligent mining vehicle comes with a built-in Quantum Communication module and can be connected to artificial intelligence for remote control. It costs 60,000 influence points. Would you like to exchange for it?"

"Yes!" Su Fan nodded.

"Manifestation requires 600,000 influence points. Would you like to manifest it?" the system continued to ask.

"Manifest!"

"Manifest two of them," Su Fan added.

"Manifesting, please wait," the system prompted.

Soon, two Multi-functional intelligent mining vehicles were manifested.

The mining vehicles were large, 50 meters long, 30 meters wide, and 20 meters high, capable of carrying a lot of ore in one load.

"Red Queen, access the control systems of the intelligent mining vehicles and first survey the types of minerals nearby. Once I send you the types of ore needed for mecha production, start mining immediately," Su Fan instructed the Red Queen.

"Okay, Master," Red Queen replied sweetly.

"System, I remember there are Androids in the Level 2 Civilization Black Tech Store, right?" Su Fan asked the system.

"Yes."

"E-class Android Technology costs 200,000 influence points. Manifesting an Android requires 2 million influence points, and manifesting an Android production line requires 20 million influence points," the system answered decisively.

"I have an idea, I wonder if it's possible," Su Fan consulted the system. "I remember when I was browsing the black tech descriptions, it said Androids can be controlled via a Brainwave controller."

"And mechas require human brainwave control."

"If I use Quantum Communication plus a Brainwave controller to remotely control an Android, and then have the Android control the mecha, can this be achieved? Will there be any lag?"

"Respected Host, it can be achieved, and there will be no lag."

"But why don't you just use Quantum Communication and a Brainwave controller to remotely control the mecha directly? Why do you have to add an Android in the middle?" the system asked a soul-searching question.

Su Fan smiled and explained, "What I'm talking about is only for special circumstances, such as space exploration."

"It's dangerous at first, so you must pilot a mecha. But once you reach a safe place, if the area is narrow, you'll need an Android to enter."

"That's the scenario I'm considering."

"Then why not just control the mecha directly, stuff a few Androids inside, and then connect to the Androids once you reach the exploration site? That way, you can even carry more Androids," the system countered with another soul-searching question.

Su Fan was covered in black lines; he admitted that the system had a point.

"Fine, you're amazing. You sure have a lot to say!"

Su Fan grumbled and turned toward the nearby spaceship. There was a Virtual helmet in the spaceship; he planned to extract the technology for the Predator Type-1 Mecha and then organize it, especially the required mineral types.

But just as he stepped onto the spaceship, his communicator rang.

He picked up the communicator and saw that it was Zhou Xiaoxiao calling.

He answered decisively.

"Hello, Xiaoxiao. I've only been away from Blue Star for how long, and you already miss me?" Su Fan said jokingly.

"Su Fan! Blue Star is in trouble! Come back quickly!"

On the phone, Zhou Xiaoxiao's voice was anxious!
