140: Chapter 140 Blue Star Seabed

Su Fan saw it too; beneath the vanished island, a massive black protrusion stuck out from the seabed.

Because the Star-Devouring Beast's self-destruction was so powerful, a layer of the seabed had been shaved off, allowing this black protrusion to be exposed.

"Feifei, come down with me to take a look." Full of curiosity, Su Fan piloted his mecha and charged toward the black protrusion on the seabed.

"Alright."

"Su Fan, what do you think this is? It feels like a part of a complete object," Xia Feifei judged.

"Exactly, I think so too."

"It feels like the exposed black protrusion is only a small part of it," Su Fan guessed.

"I'll have the Red Queen send some underwater engineering vehicles. We can't rely on our two mechas to do the digging; that's too unprofessional."

Upon receiving the command, the Red Queen urgently dispatched underwater engineering vehicles to the area.

Meanwhile, Su Fan and Xia Feifei had already reached the seabed.

Su Fan piloted his mecha to the front of the massive black protrusion and immediately activated the mecha's detection system.

"Holy crap! Material grade: Class C!" Su Fan stroked the black protrusion with the mecha's palm in shock.

Class C materials are those used by Level 4 civilizations. They have extremely high hardness and can completely ignore attacks below Class C.

"Could it be that a Level 4 civilization visited Blue Star before and left something behind?" Su Fan speculated.

The massive black protrusion was about a thousand meters long and over two hundred meters wide, sticking out more than two meters from the seabed like a giant black rock.

"Since Ascendants have already appeared, I feel like a Level 4 civilization wouldn't be out of the ordinary," Xia Feifei said as if it were a matter of course.

"Alright, that makes sense."

The underwater engineering vehicles were soon delivered, and over a hundred of them began the vigorous excavation work.

As the excavation went deeper, the true form of the black protrusion slowly revealed itself.

"This is... a spaceship?!" Su Fan said in surprise.

"I didn't expect that Blue Star really had been visited by aliens, who even left a spaceship behind."

"We just don't know what era it's from," Xia Feifei remarked.

"I estimate it must be extremely old, at least hundreds of millions of years, because this rock layer dates back hundreds of millions of years." Su Fan casually picked up a piece of newly excavated rock.

These rocks were originally supposed to be at the very bottom of the island; now that the island was gone, the exposed rocks were of a very ancient age.

The underwater engineering vehicles excavated quickly; because the material was so hard, there was no need to worry about damaging it.

"Su Fan, look! Some silver-gray metal has appeared next to this spaceship!" Xia Feifei pointed out.

"Eh?"

"There really is silver-gray metal."

"Could it be that there isn't just one spaceship here, but two, or even more?"

Su Fan approached the spot where the silver-gray metal was exposed and used his mecha's detector to scan it.

"As expected, this spaceship is also made of Class C material."

"Red Queen, send more underwater engineering vehicles. Dig with everything you've got!" Su Fan ordered.

"Yes, Master!"

After a while, several hundred more underwater engineering vehicles arrived and immediately threw themselves into the excavation work.

The addition of a large number of engineering vehicles greatly increased the excavation speed.

Soon, the two spaceships were fully revealed.

These were two spaceships roughly the same size as the Kongming, one black and one silver-gray, both very beautiful.

However, there were many damaged areas on both ships, with some of the armor being completely smashed.

Su Fan had the underwater engineering vehicles dig around the vicinity for a while longer, and after confirming there were no other ships, he had the Red Queen withdraw them.

The two massive spaceships were buried deep under the sea with obvious surface damage, clearly having gone through a battle.

"I think these two spaceships might have fought each other, and being evenly matched, they ended up taking each other down and were forced to land on our Blue Star," Xia Feifei analyzed.

"It's also possible that these two ships belonged to the same civilization but were attacked by another, eventually escaping to Blue Star," Su Fan offered another guess.

"Let's get the ships out of the sea first. It's not convenient to explore the interior of the cabins underwater," Su Fan said with a smile.

"Red Queen, bring the Tianyuan Mothership and the Skyfire Mothership over. Hoist these two ships out of the sea and pull them into Blue Star's outer space."

"Yes, Master!" The Red Queen immediately executed his command.

Su Fan also informed the Great Elder of this matter, asking him to send some scientists to study these two ships together.

The Great Elder soon arrived at the seabed in a spaceship, leading a group of scientists from various fields along with various instruments.

"Truly magnificent, unbelievable," the Great Elder remarked. He had never imagined that Blue Star would be hiding two such massive things.

The Great Elder arrived, and so did the tianyuan and the skyfire. After a great deal of effort, it took a full two days for these two alien spaceships to be successfully towed into Blue Star's outer space.

The reason it took so much time was the concern that the ships might suffer secondary damage during the towing process.

Especially the data storage modules inside the ships; everyone was praying they wouldn't be damaged.

In Blue Star's outer space, the two alien spaceships landed gently on the massive operating platform of the space factory.

This space factory was where the skyfire was built. It was enormous in scale, more than enough to accommodate the two alien spaceships.

The scientists brought by the Great Elder began their work. These scientists were all the treasures of Xia Country.

They came from various fields: some were responsible for the research and construction of the Skyfire Mothership, some for paleontological research, some for the study of ancient scripts, and some for data recovery and cracking...

Su Fan waited patiently nearby; with such a major discovery, he wanted to witness the secrets being unearthed with his own eyes.

"Chief Su, we've run into a problem," the head scientist, who was also Su Fan's old friend Zhang Qiling, ran over to report.

"Qiling, long time no see. What problem have you encountered?" Su Fan said with a smile.

"We can't do anything at all about the outer armor of these two alien spaceships."

"This armor is incredibly stubborn and hard. It can't be cut or ground down. It's just too tough!" Zhang Qiling said helplessly.

"Look at my brain, I forgot about that. This is Class C material from a Level 4 civilization. With Xia Country's current technology, we can't do anything to it," Su Fan said, slapping his forehead in embarrassment.

"Use the greatsword from my new mecha. This sword has a very high hardness level, enough to cut through Class C materials," Su Fan said, pointing to the war soul mecha standing next to him.

For convenience in observing, he had stepped out of his mecha upon entering the space factory and transferred his consciousness to an Android.

"That would be great! Thank you, Chief Su!" Zhang Qiling thanked him with a smile.

"Alright, go ahead and get to work. Report to me anytime if there are any issues or difficulties." Su Fan waved his hand with a smile.

"Yes!" Zhang Qiling went off to work.

Su Fan stood there, pondering the origins of these two alien spaceships.

During the previous hoisting process, he had discovered two different emblems on the two ships.

On the bottom of the black alien spaceship was an icon of a coiled black dragon, without any text.

But on the bottom of the silver-gray ship, four large characters he was familiar with were written.

Canglan Empire!
