29: Chapter 29 begins the research and development of controlled nuclear fusion.
The four materials science professors were stunned for a moment, then looked at each other. Three of them turned their gaze toward Zheng Kaiping.
Seeing this, Su Fan understood immediately.
"Alright, from now on Professor Zheng will be in charge of the scientific research for the Super God Materials Company." Su Fan thought for a moment and added, "Let's do this: we will establish the Institute of Materials Science within the Super God Materials Company, with Professor Zheng as the Dean."
"The Institute of Materials Science will have four research institutes: the First, Second, Third, and Fourth Institutes of Materials Research."
"Professor Zheng Kaiping, Professor Wang Dequan, Professor Zhang Guoqing, and Professor Wu Zhiqiang will respectively serve as the directors of the first through fourth institutes."
"Do the four professors find this arrangement acceptable?"
"Yes, Chairman Su's arrangement is very thoughtful," Zheng Kaiping said with a smile.
The other three professors also voiced their agreement.
Su Fan nodded and looked at Professor Ma Baoxia.
"Super God Energy will establish the Nuclear Energy Engineering Department. Professor Ma Baoxia will be the Director, and Professor Fu Wenzhou will be the Deputy Director."
"Chairman Su, I have a question, though I don't know if I should ask," Ma Baoxia said tentatively in a soft voice.
"Please speak, Director Ma."
"Why is it that our nuclear energy side is a Nuclear Energy Engineering Department, while the materials side is a Research Institute?"
Su Fan laughed immediately upon hearing this.
"Director Ma, it's because I've already solved the problem of Controlled Nuclear Fusion. We just need the materials to be developed before we can start construction."
"So, there's no need for a Nuclear Energy Research Institute for now. We just need an Engineering Department to build directly according to the blueprints I provide."
"You're saying you've already figured out Controlled Nuclear Fusion!" Professor Ma exclaimed, his voice cracking slightly with shock.
The other five professors also looked at Su Fan in shock.
"What, you don't believe me?" Su Fan smiled and took a sip of water.
The six professors all shook their heads in unison.
It wasn't that they didn't believe their new leader, Su Fan, but the claim was so incredible that they dared not believe it was true.
"It's fine, we'll wait and see," Su Fan said playfully. "How about we make a bet?"
The six professors looked at each other, and Ma Baoxia said heartily, "Sure, Chairman Su, what's the bet?"
"Let's bet on whether we can create Controlled Nuclear Fusion!"
"With a time limit—one year!"
"Under my leadership, if we can build a commercial-grade Controlled Nuclear Fusion reactor within a year, you six will follow me for good."
Su Fan's eyes were playful, staring at the six professors like a predator watching its prey.
Talented people—he loved them most.
The six professors smiled; this condition didn't hurt them at all and was perfectly acceptable.
Then Professor Ma raised an eyebrow and asked, "And what if Chairman Su loses?"
Su Fan also raised an eyebrow, "If I lose, I'll tell you a secret."
The six professors looked at Su Fan with curiosity.
"Don't worry, this secret will definitely be worth it to you."
The six professors nodded in agreement, and the bet was settled.
"By the way, I've thought about it. Let's rename the Nuclear Energy Engineering Department to the Nuclear Energy Engineering Research Institute. Ma Baoxia will be the Dean, and Fu Wenzhou will be the Vice Dean."
"Calling it an engineering department always feels like we're doing civil engineering," Su Fan joked.
The professors laughed along with him.
"Dean Ma, Vice Dean Fu, the phones I gave you contain some of the construction blueprints for the new Deuterium-Deuterium Controlled Nuclear Fusion reactor. After the meeting, implement them as soon as possible."
"For logistics support, go directly to Zhou Xiaoxiao, whether it's land, money, or anything else."
"As for personnel, the PhD and Master's students, except for those studying materials science who go to the Institute of Materials Science, will all go to the Nuclear Energy Engineering Research Institute. You can arrange their work as you see fit."
"That's all for my arrangements. Do you professors have any other questions?"
The professors looked at each other, and Ma Baoxia said with a smile, "None for now. If there are, we'll come find you. Chairman Su, don't hold back your guidance then!"
"Haha, definitely!"
"Meeting adjourned!"
The next day, Su Fan held a mobilization meeting in front of the office building, with all employees of the Super God Group attending.
After this period of development, the Super God Group had reached over 500 employees.
Looking at the employees below, Su Fan couldn't help but feel a sense of pride.
The once-poor loser had now become a big boss with countless 'small goals' worth of wealth.
Life is unpredictable, and fate is fickle.
The outcome is not yet decided; you and I are both dark horses!
"Today, we gather at the Super God Group. Before this, you should have all understood the group's business."
"Currently, every business of the Super God Group is number one in its industry."
"Whether it's super god photo editing, the cute pet paradise game, or the recent Super God Battery."
"You should be glad to have joined the Super God Group."
"Because the Super God Group is destined to do great things that have never been done before and will never be done again."
"Leave the Blue Star and charge toward the universe!"
"This is the mission of the Super God Group."
"Next, we will launch the Super God Group's Deuterium-Deuterium Controlled Nuclear Fusion project."
"We will surely succeed, and we will surely go down in history!"
"That's all. Meeting adjourned!"
Excluding the time for employees to gather, the meeting lasted only three minutes.
Actually, Su Fan didn't want to hold it, but Zhou Xiaoxiao said it was necessary for new employees to know the big boss, otherwise it would be awkward if they didn't recognize him later.
The Controlled Nuclear Fusion project began.
Su Fan led a group of PhD and Master's students to research two new materials. Combined with the four professors from the Institute of Materials Science, the research for the 10 new materials was specifically assigned.
Ma Baoxia was responsible for the construction of the Controlled Nuclear Fusion reactor. Although core components couldn't be built yet due to material issues, most of the engineering could be built in advance.
In the entire Super God Group, everyone was busy except for Zhang Minghan, who was in charge of the Super God Battery.
Seeing everyone busy, Zhang Minghan was so bored he could only run to Su Fan's lab to help him research new materials.
Additionally, due to the surge in researchers, the original lab space was insufficient to meet the high demand.
To address this, the Super God Group invested in building a new experimental center on one hand, and on the other, purchased integrated modular labs from the market to deploy in workshops for emergency use.
With everyone's efforts, the progress bar for Controlled Nuclear Fusion moved forward at a visible speed.
While Su Fan and the others were working hard on Controlled Nuclear Fusion, the people in the southern mountains of Kirin County, Ningcheng City, recently discovered that a certain mountain area had been cordoned off.
Rolling green fences appeared around the area, preventing outsiders from seeing inside.
Truck after truck carrying steel, cement, and various materials kept driving into the mountains.
Inside the fences, Ma Baoxia was constantly directing the construction team, while Fu Wenzhou led a group of graduate students under a truck, constantly checking with instruments.
Excavation work had already begun on a nearby small hill.
Nuclear fusion is dangerous, after all; even if it's Controlled Nuclear Fusion, one must be very cautious.
Therefore, Su Fan decided to conduct the experiment in the southern mountains of his hometown.
The mountains here were sparsely populated. Once the mountains were sealed, tunnels dug, and a request made for the higher-ups to arrange for troops to be stationed, it would be absolutely safe and secret.
Then, just wait for the results to shock the whole world!
