3: Chapter 3 The Big Eater's Day of Exhaustion
Outside, the cold wind howled, but inside the steamed bun shop, it was steaming hot.
Twenty pan-fried meat buns and spicy soup were soon served on the table.
Ignoring the heat, Su Fan picked up a large bun with his chopsticks and began to devour it.
A bite of a bun, a sip of spicy soup—comforting!
Soon, half of the twenty buns had been wiped out.
The bun shop owner watched in stunned silence.
You see, these weren't those bite-sized buns from the South.
This shop's pan-fried buns were larger than an adult's fist!
A typical adult would be full after four or five, especially since these buns were quite oily and could get sickening if eaten in excess.
But Su Fan? He had eaten a full ten and hadn't stopped, still eating with great relish.
Mind you, Su Fan wasn't particularly overweight.
He was 1.82 meters tall and weighed 170 jin.
"Brother, *cough*, eating too much isn't good for your stomach." The shop owner watched for a while longer before he couldn't help but step forward to kindly remind Su Fan.
Because in just that short time, this "big eater" had finished off another five large buns!
"It's fine. I haven't eaten in three days. I could eat a whole cow right now!" Su Fan didn't even look up, continuing to demolish the meat buns on his plate.
"Give me ten more!"
"All meat, as before!"
The shop owner's eyes widened in shock upon hearing this.
Although he was a businessman and happy to sell more buns, he didn't dare risk someone's life for profit!
"Brother, you can't eat any more!"
"If your stomach bursts, it'll be terrifying!"
As he spoke, the owner gestured an explosion against his own stomach, even adding a sound effect.
"It's okay, boss, don't worry. My stomach hasn't even started to bulge yet!"
"Natural digestion power, my stomach is awesome!"
"Look!"
Su Fan said with a chuckle, opening his down jacket to show the shop owner his flat stomach.
He hadn't expected to be able to eat so much today either.
As soon as the buns entered his stomach, they seemed to be digested instantly, turning into energy to replenish his brain's consumption.
His mind had been a bit groggy when he first woke up, but as he ate and his energy levels rose, his brain gradually cleared.
It was like rain after a long drought, like an engine being fueled, like a widowed young woman meeting...
*Cough*, thinking too much, thinking too much!
This meal consisted of a full thirty meat buns and two bowls of spicy soup.
It was equivalent to the appetite of five or six adults.
The owner and all the customers in the shop were stunned.
After paying, Su Fan fled in embarrassment.
With a full stomach, his back didn't ache, his legs weren't sore, his mind was clear, and his steps home felt light.
Back home, Su Fan couldn't wait to duck into the bathroom.
He bathed and groomed himself, shaving and tidying up.
He entered looking like a slob and came out looking clean and refreshed.
Next was the main event.
Humanity's first true Artificial Intelligence was about to be born by his hands.
Could the so-called AI in the world today even be called AI?
They were pure artificial idiocy!
Su Fan sat solemnly before his computer, restarted it, his face filled with gravity.
An aura of a powerhouse radiated from him!
Terrifyingly so!
To those little Japanese guards blocking my Chinese people from entering the halls of higher technology, my steel gun is already polished!
Jie jie jie!
...
Time passed quickly, like a white horse passing a crack.
When one is fully concentrated on something, time always seems to fly.
By the time Su Fan snapped out of it, the sun was already setting.
He rubbed his hands, which had been typing code all day.
He hadn't eaten lunch, throwing himself heart and soul into the great cause of AI development.
After a day of hard work, the compiler was finished, and the primary AI was halfway done. He expected that by working overtime through the night, he could definitely complete it.
The more impressive a program's code, the more streamlined it is. Modern mobile apps are often several gigabytes, which is basically just mountains of crap piled together!
The primary AI he was developing was actually a case study provided in the Collector's Edition, with even more streamlined code.
Su Fan slightly adjusted this case study, turning it into an AI that suited his needs.
As for why he could adjust it, all he could say was that the system's knowledge infusion was too powerful. The AI technology he now mastered could definitely rank first in the global AI field.
After being busy all day, he was so hungry his stomach was sticking to his back.
It was time to go out and find some food!
He could have ordered takeout.
But Su Fan wanted to get some fresh air; staying cooped up all day made his head feel groggy.
He dressed and went out, destination TBD.
There were many restaurants at the entrance of the residential complex, but having eaten there every single day, he was long tired of them.
However, to a starving person, even chaff tastes sweet; he felt like he could eat anything right now.
Just as he reached the complex entrance, the phone in his pocket rang.
He pulled it out and saw it was the vice-captain, "One Big Pillar."
He answered immediately.
"Hello, Zhuzi!"
"What's up?" Su Fan asked, knowing full well why he was calling.
"You haven't been online all damn day, and you haven't replied to my WeChat messages, and you're asking me what's up?!" One Big Pillar roared on the other end.
Su Fan felt a bit awkward. Busy all day with AI and code, he had forgotten he still had a job.
"Something came up at home today, I forgot to tell you. Sorry, my apologies."
"As long as you're okay. I thought something happened to you. Next time, let us know in advance. Everyone's worried about you."
Su Fan felt a warmth in his heart upon hearing this.
One Big Pillar was the vice-captain of their gaming team, and he himself was the captain.
There were ten people in the team: some from poor backgrounds who earned money by grinding in the game, and others from wealthy families who truly loved gaming.
One Big Pillar was one of those from a wealthy family, a big spender in the game.
He had joined the "Mortal Team" after being impressed by Su Fan's superb gaming skills.
"Won't happen again, won't happen again," Su Fan apologized repeatedly.
One Big Pillar had a typical nagging mother personality; if you didn't go along with what he said, he could nag until dawn.
"Are you still busy tonight? If not, there's a boss we can't beat, and we need you to lead the team."
"I won't have time for the next couple of days. I have some things to deal with here, so I can't get into the game for now." Su Fan said apologetically.
He actually didn't plan on playing games anymore. With the super god black technology system, his future was destined to be extraordinary; even Blue Star wouldn't be his limit.
But it was hard to say he was quitting outright; after all, they were good friends who had fought together for several years.
"Did something happen?"
"If you're short on cash, don't hold it in. You know your brother here has plenty of money."
Su Fan was touched.
In today's society, ninety-nine percent of problems can be solved with money, and if they can't, you just add more money.
Zhuzi offering to lend money showed he was a true friend.
Making a mental note of Zhuzi's kindness, Su Fan said with a smile, "It's nothing major. I'll tell you in a couple of days. It's a secret for now."
"Tch, a secret!"
"Fine, we'll talk in a couple of days then!" One Big Pillar grumbled.
Hanging up, Su Fan pondered for a moment before heading toward a noodle shop not far away.
Everyone's life is different, and his was destined to be unique, filled with thorns, yet brimming with infinite possibilities!
