88: Chapter 88 Departure: The Asteroid Belt and the Kuiper Belt

As time slowly passed, Su Fan remained busy with the preparations for the Mars terraforming project.

September 1st, the start of the school year.

On this day, in the outer space of the Blue Planet.

A massive Star Ring encircled the Blue Planet's equator. Although far less grand than Saturn's rings, its artificial mechanical beauty was still awe-inspiring!

After half a year of construction, the Star Ring was finally completed.

The reason it was built so quickly was that kunpeng no. 1 and kunpeng no. 2 had come off the production lines in large numbers. With these ships assisting in transportation, combined with the expansion of the space military factories and the cooperation of the Lunar Factory and numerous ground factories on the Blue Planet, completion was achieved rapidly.

At this moment, nearly 200 spaceships were neatly docked along the Star Ring.

There were 76 kunpeng no. 1 spaceships, 61 kunpeng no. 2 spaceships, and 60 star hunter spaceships!

Su Fan, clad in his predator mecha, floated in space.

This time, he was physically inside the mecha, not controlling it remotely.

Any one of these 197 spaceships possessed the power to destroy any other nation on the Blue Planet.

Like a general reviewing his troops, Su Fan looked at the fleet of ships before him with satisfaction.

Today, 120 ships would set sail.

Among them, the target for the 60 kunpeng no. 2 ships was the Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter!

Located between Mars and Jupiter, the Asteroid Belt is roughly 460 million kilometers from the Blue Planet and contains countless asteroids of all sizes, the largest being Ceres with a diameter of 940 kilometers.

These 60 kunpeng no. 2 spaceships had not been fitted with Star-Devouring Beast cores, so their speed was only 2,000 kilometers per second.

It would take these ships about three days to reach the Asteroid Belt, where they would begin capturing the largest asteroids in mass.

The captured asteroids would be towed by the ships and, utilizing the Sun's gravity according to optimal calculation angles, would perfectly impact and merge with Mars.

Of course, because the total mass of the Asteroid Belt was too small, even dragging all the large asteroids to Mars would be completely insufficient.

Therefore, the other 60 faster star hunter ships were headed for the Kuiper Belt, about 6 billion kilometers from the Blue Planet, which contained even more and larger dwarf planets and asteroids.

At a speed of 3,000 kilometers per second, the star hunter ships would take about 20 days to reach the Kuiper Belt.

Their primary mission was to capture the dwarf planets of the Kuiper Belt, led by Pluto, one by one. Then, using the Sun's gravity and precise calculations, they would perfectly impact and merge them with Mars.

The capture of asteroids in the Asteroid Belt would serve as an experiment and trial; the real bulk of the project relied on the dwarf planets of the Kuiper Belt.

Otherwise, relying solely on asteroids would not be enough to significantly change the mass of Mars.

This was because all the asteroids in the entire Asteroid Belt combined were not even as large as the Moon.

How could such a small amount of mass possibly cause a significant change to Mars?

"Depart!" Su Fan ordered from his mecha in space.

The 120 ships accelerated with a roar, flying toward their respective destinations.

There were no real people aboard these ships; instead, each ship carried a certain number of Androids.

Su Fan had specifically carved out an underground space at the Nanshan Base on the Blue Planet, named the War Space.

Inside the War Space were many virtual pods.

The Androids on the ships were remotely controlled by the Super God Group through these virtual pods.

Interstellar travel was so dangerous; what if something went wrong with real people?

Remote control was much safer.

Besides, the perspective of an Android was identical to a human's; it was just like playing a 100% immersive virtual reality game!

After ordering the fleet to depart, Su Fan immediately piloted his mecha back to Nanshan Base, exited the suit, and hurried to the War Space.

He was in such a hurry because he also intended to "follow" these ships to the Asteroid Belt and the Kuiper Belt!

He walked to a virtual pod, opened the lid, and lay down inside.

When he opened his eyes again, he was already "standing" inside a kunpeng no. 2 spaceship.

Zhou Xiaoxiao was already waiting for him nearby.

Su Fan rose from the seat and looked at this Android body.

He pinched the skin.

It was very elastic, almost identical to real skin.

He hopped a bit and found he could jump much higher, as the Android's interior was mechanical; its power was certainly stronger than Su Fan's current physical body.

Although it wasn't his first time controlling an Android with his consciousness, the realism still amazed Su Fan.

He looked at Zhou Xiaoxiao's Android; its face was almost exactly like hers, but to distinguish Androids from real people, every Android had a decorative pattern on its forehead.

"Su Fan, how is it? Exciting, right?" Zhou Xiaoxiao teased.

"You bet!"

"How could commanding from the rear be as exciting as charging on the front lines!"

"And there's no need to worry about being in danger!" Su Fan said with a smile.

The Android technology of a Level 2 Civilization was truly powerful; even subtle facial expressions could be simulated.

"As for you, Comrade Zhou Xiaoxiao!"

"As an employee of the company, you're blatantly skipping work!" Su Fan's expression turned stern.

"Boss! I won't do it again! Please punish your humble servant!" Zhou Xiaoxiao pretended to be terrified.

Su Fan felt a cold sweat. They were both Androids; how was he supposed to punish her?

"Su Fan, I heard the Great Elder is here too?" Zhou Xiaoxiao suddenly asked.

"Yeah, with remote-controlled Androids being so convenient, the Great Elder was also a bit tempted. He wanted to use an Android to see the universe with his own eyes," Su Fan laughed.

Ever since the Great Elder's appearance had become younger, his personality had slowly become more youthful as well.

In fact, throughout the entire Xia Country, most elderly people who had become younger were gradually becoming more youthful and lively in personality.

Many elderly people, after being injected with the gene optimization fluid and receiving national basic subsidies and Super God Group's birth subsidies, had even found a second spring in life!

"Which ship is the Great Elder on?" Zhou Xiaoxiao was curious.

"I made him an Android with an ordinary face. He's mixed in with the fleet headed for the Asteroid Belt, on Ship No. 2." Su Fan curled his lip, feeling somewhat touched by the Great Elder's childlike wonder.

"You stay here for now. I'm going to check on the star hunter fleet." Su Fan gave Zhou Xiaoxiao a nod, then sat back in his seat. His head tilted to the side, and he instantly went silent!

Zhou Xiaoxiao: "..."

"Watching you suddenly go lifeless like that is always a bit unsettling," Zhou Xiaoxiao grumbled to the silent "Su Fan."

When Su Fan woke up again, he had arrived on a star hunter ship, where he also had an Android body.

"Zhang Qiling!"

"How does it feel!" Su Fan greeted Zhang Qiling's Android in the captain's quarters.

"Chairman Su, this Android is truly miraculous. Controlling it feels exactly like my own body."

"The most critical part is that it can actually provide sensory feedback."

"Chairman Su, you are truly amazing!" Zhang Qiling gave a thumbs up, offering a modest bit of flattery.

The corners of Su Fan's mouth quirked up; he quite enjoyed the flattery.

"I just came over for a look. I'm leaving right away. Let me know when we reach Jupiter." Su Fan exchanged a few pleasantries and then tilted his head, leaving the body.

Zhang Qiling: "..."

"Chairman Su is indeed Chairman Su, coming and going like a ghost," Zhang Qiling muttered.

Three days later, the kunpeng no. 2 fleet arrived at the Asteroid Belt, and Su Fan logged on again!
