172: Chapter 172 Advanced Cosmic Treasures
“Advanced cosmic rarities?” Su Fan was momentarily stunned when he heard the system notification, but his surprise quickly turned into delight.
Advanced cosmic rarities—just the name alone sounded much more impressive than regular cosmic rarities.
“System, what are advanced cosmic rarities? Is there any difference between them and regular cosmic rarities?” Su Fan hurriedly inquired in his mind.
“Advanced cosmic rarities are essential resources for Level 5 civilizations! The dark energy crystals excavated previously belong to the category of ordinary cosmic rarities,” the system explained.
Su Fan’s eyes lit up. An essential resource for a Level 5 civilization? He had to get his hands on it!
“System, where exactly is the location of the advanced cosmic rarity?”
“It is at the very core of this planet. Simply dig down another kilometer in depth,” the system answered flatly.
“That makes things easy then.” Su Fan breathed a sigh of relief.
As time passed, the very core of the planet was finally excavated!
“Master, we can't dig any further!” the Red Queen suddenly notified him.
“Mm, I know. Pause the excavation for now,” Su Fan replied verbally, though he was actually already chatting with the system in his mind.
“System, why can't we dig any further?” Su Fan asked.
“Advanced cosmic rarities form a self-protective shell that is extremely hard!” the system replied.
“How do I open this shell?” Su Fan continued to inquire.
“Among Level 5 technologies, there are those capable of cutting through such a shell,” the system answered indifferently.
Su Fan nodded, refraining from complaining like he usually did.
He had pretty much figured out the system's temperament by now; complaining was useless, as it seemed to follow certain rules in its actions.
“Red Queen, transport the remaining planetary core into one of the kongming motherships.”
After years of excavation, only the planetary core remained of this planet.
The planetary core was a regular sphere with a diameter of about three kilometers, which the kongming mothership's warehouse could easily accommodate.
Soon, with the help of other machinery, the planetary core was stuffed into the kongming mothership's cargo bay.
At this point, this dark energy star, which was rich in dark energy crystals, completely vanished from the universe!
“Let's head home. We're going back to Blue Star!” At Su Fan's command, all the ships set sail toward Blue Star.
During these ten years, Su Fan hadn't just focused on mining every day; he had also been keeping a constant eye on the war between the Canglan Empire and the Black Dragon Empire.
Ten years might have seemed very long on the old Blue Star, but in the context of a galactic war, ten years was very brief.
From the news sent back by the frontline reconnaissance ships, Su Fan learned that over these ten years, the fighting between the Canglan Empire and the Black Dragon Empire had grown increasingly intense.
Furthermore, the Alma Federation to the northeast of the Black Dragon Empire had actually joined the fray from the start, reaching a cooperation agreement with the Canglan Empire to jointly attack the Black Dragon Empire.
Now, the Black Dragon Empire was being attacked from both sides!
However, even with enemies on both fronts, the Black Dragon Empire faced no immediate danger of being wiped out.
Their strength was formidable; while holding off the attacks from the Canglan Empire and the Alma Federation, they had actually begun to counterattack the Canglan Empire!
One could only describe them as incredibly powerful!
The Xia Clan was currently watching the tigers fight from the safety of the mountain, developing and accumulating strength in silence.
In ten years, the Xia Clan had built many more class-c spaceships.
The war between these three nations had now reached a fever pitch. Right and wrong no longer mattered; too many ships had been destroyed on the battlefield!
The harder they fought, the happier Su Fan became. He wished the three nations would wipe out all their ships so he could step in and reap the spoils.
Aboard the ship transporting the dark energy star core, Su Fan was communicating with the system.
“System, what is the name of the advanced cosmic rarity encased inside this shell?”
“dark energy crystal core,” the system answered flatly.
Su Fan nodded and didn't ask further; he had just suddenly had an idea.
“Su Mingxia, lead the fleet back to Blue Star. I’m going to make a trip to Shengyuan Star,” Su Fan said to Su Mingxia with a smile.
“What are you going to Shengyuan Star for? I want to go too. I haven't seen my second brother in a long time,” Su Mingxia asked, puzzled.
“How about this: you transport these dark energy crystals back first, then bring your third sister and Fourth Brother’s true bodies along to Shengyuan Star,” Su Fan instructed.
“Dad, are you planning to let Third Sister and Fourth Brother enter Shengyuan Star to practice as well?”
“That’s a must. Your third sister and Fourth Brother's cultivation talent is actually quite extraordinary. The cultivation environment on Shengyuan Star is better, so I plan to have them go there for advanced studies.” Su Fan looked out at the vast starry sky beyond the ship and spoke with a smile.
“Perhaps they can have a different future!”
“Alright then, I’m heading out! See you later!” Su Mingxia left with a group of ships.
As for Su Fan, he took the ship containing the dark energy crystal core and another ship fully loaded with dark energy crystals and made a warp jump toward Shengyuan Star.
...
Ever since it was confirmed that the Shenyuan Clan and the Xia Clan shared the same roots, a great deal of trade and exchange had taken place between the two races.
The current Shengyuan Star had undergone some modern changes, but these changes were solely to make life more convenient for the people; not much else had changed.
This was specifically requested by Jiang Zibo, the Holy Lord of the Shengyuan Holy Land.
The Shengyuan Holy Land had ruled the Shenyuan Clan for millions of years without collapsing; their methods of governance and systems were very refined.
As a cultivation civilization, suddenly introducing a large amount of technology from a scientific civilization could very easily cause a massive shock to their stable society.
Therefore, life for the Shenyuan Clan remained almost exactly as it had been before.
Su Fan's primary purpose for coming to Shengyuan Star this time was to ask Jiang Zibo if there was a way to get the dark energy crystal core out from inside the shell.
After all, they were a civilization that had produced Ascendants; their foundation was much deeper than one might imagine!
After nearly a month of warp travel, Su Fan finally arrived at Shengyuan Star.
Having received the news long ago, Jiang Zibo was waiting at a port not far from the Shengyuan Holy Land with Su Fan’s second son, Su Xiaobai.
This port had been specifically established in recent years to facilitate the docking of spaceships and was quite massive.
Su Fan docked the two ships in the port and then stepped off the ship impatiently.
“Son! Dad has come to see you!” As soon as Su Fan stepped off the ship, he rushed forward and gave his second son a big hug.
“Dad! Long time no see!” Su Xiaobai smiled somewhat shyly; his personality was rather introverted.
“Come! Look at what gift Dad has brought you!” Su Fan pointed toward the other ship, his spirit soaring with pride.
“Inside that ship is a whole cargo bay full of dark energy crystals. You can use them however you want for your cultivation from now on! If it's not enough, just ask Dad for more!”
As Su Fan finished speaking, the cargo bay of the ship loaded with dark energy crystals opened automatically, revealing the dense, countless dark energy crystals inside!
Su Xiaobai was dumbstruck, staring blankly at the dark energy crystals and then at his father.
At this moment, his heart was filled with nothing but emotion!
“Dad, I can't use all these spirit stones by myself. You should keep some, and give the rest to my eldest brother, as well as my younger brother and sister,” Su Xiaobai said, his voice choking up slightly.
“Later on, your third sister and Fourth Brother will also come to Shengyuan Star. They will cultivate with you, and you can decide how to distribute these dark energy crystals then.” Su Fan smiled and patted his second son’s shoulder.
