58: Chapter 58 The Secret of the Moon, Su Fan's Conditions

Soon, Su Fan led the Elders to the captain's quarters.

"This is the captain's quarters, and it's also the control hub of the spaceship."

The Elders nodded numbly.

Along the way, they had been so shocked by the scenes they saw and the explanations they heard that their hearts had grown numb.

This was a true spaceship!

Look at this: a fifty-square-meter room with a private bathroom, a gym, and even a karaoke room. The Eagle Nation's so-called space shuttles were complete garbage in comparison!

Most importantly, there was gravity!

This was a necessary condition for humans to survive in space for long periods; otherwise, in a zero-gravity environment, physiological and psychological problems would arise in just six months to a year!

"There's not much to see in the captain's quarters, it's just for controlling takeoff and landing. Let's head to the small conference room next door."

"Zhang Qiling, Zhou Xiaoxiao, arrange for the employees to go rest. I have some matters to discuss with the Elders." Su Fan instructed Zhou Xiaoxiao and Zhang Qiling before leading the Elders into the small conference room alone.

The group entered the conference room and closed the door.

Once everyone was seated, Su Fan directly asked the question on his mind: "Great Elder, what is that top-secret secret you mentioned?"

The Great Elder smiled and took several photos out of his briefcase, handing them to Su Fan.

"Take a look at what this is."

Su Fan took the photos with confusion, his expression changing as he began to examine them closely.

After a moment, Su Fan looked up with a serious expression. "Great Elder, is this a spaceship?"

"That's right. These are photos taken recently by the lunar rover on the far side of the moon." The Great Elder's expression was also grave. "According to the rover's measurements, this spaceship is 68 meters long, 36 meters wide, and 24 meters high."

"A spaceship appearing on the moon... our Blue Star has been discovered!" The hair on Su Fan's arms stood on end.

(Don't worry everyone, I won't be using the old clichés!)

"Indeed, Blue Star is in great danger right now!" The Great Elder frowned and continued, "But that's not even the most critical part. Look closely at this photo—there's a hole in it!"

Following the Great Elder's guidance, Su Fan indeed discovered a small hole in the ship.

"In the enlarged photo, this hole isn't small. According to expert analysis, the entire hull was pierced by a laser."

"The source of the laser is most likely that pitch-black cave opening directly facing the ship!" the Great Elder continued.

"That means it's very likely there's a weapon or a base on the moon even more powerful than this spaceship?!" Su Fan's expression grew increasingly grim!

(No clichés here, and none there either! Everyone, try to guess how the author will write this!)

"It's very likely!" the Great Elder nodded.

Su Fan frowned; this was not good news.

The ship itself wasn't a huge deal; a ship this small usually didn't belong to a particularly powerful civilization.

As for how he knew, it was because he possessed the super god black technology system.

Although he couldn't exchange for black technology from Level 2 civilizations and beyond yet, he could still view basic information.

Su Fan usually opened the system in his free time to check the black technologies within, focusing most on various models of spaceships and mechas.

For civilizations Level 2 and above, no spaceship was less than 1,000 meters long!

This tiny ship of a few dozen meters, unless its creators had very specific tastes or tech, was unlikely to be a high-end product.

What Su Fan worried about was the unknown weapon or base on the moon.

If it were a high-tech base, then Blue Star...

An unknown enemy is the most terrifying kind!

"Great Elder, how about this: I'll return to Nanshan Base immediately to build some probes that can be used on the moon, and then send kunpeng no. 1 to carry them to this mysterious area on the far side of the moon for exploration." Su Fan said after some thought.

The Great Elder didn't answer directly, but asked something else instead.

"Su Fan, if I give you a few more years, can you build a spaceship even more powerful than kunpeng no. 1?"

Su Fan thought for a moment and replied, "That's no problem. I already have construction concepts for other, even more powerful spaceships."

In truth, he didn't have a single damn concept; he was waiting for the Xia Clan to develop into a Level 1 cosmic civilization so he could unlock Level 2 technology.

As long as Level 1 Genetic Optimization was popularized across the entire Xia Clan, he believed they could definitely upgrade to a Level 1 cosmic civilization!

"Very good. In that case, I don't suggest taking risks. Wait until we've built a few more kunpeng no. 1s, or ideally even stronger ships, before exploring in detail."

"The moon isn't going anywhere, and it's been fine for all these years. I don't think a few more years will hurt!"

"If we lack the strength and our exploration triggers a danger, how will we respond?"

"That spaceship on the moon is a case study in failure!" The Great Elder's expression was solemn.

Su Fan lowered his head in thought, feeling that the Great Elder had a point. However, if he didn't investigate, he felt a lack of security from knowing nothing.

"How about this: we place more lunar rovers around the area. That should be fine, since our rovers have been wandering nearby for so long anyway."

"That's a fair compromise. I'll have the Aerospace Department bring over the spare lunar rovers. When will you set out for the moon?"

"Let's set out on July 10th. I'll also head back to make a few probes to deploy near that area at the same time," Su Fan said after a moment.

"Alright, it's a deal!"

"Also, I have one more thing I'd like to discuss with you." The Great Elder changed the subject.

"Please, go ahead!" Su Fan knew something was coming.

"Can another kunpeng no. 1 be built? The state will pay for it." The Great Elder's tone was tentative.

"I can sell one to the state, but I have a condition."

"What condition? Please tell me."

Su Fan paused for a moment, his gaze shifting toward the sky.

"Super God Group can provide the state with some technology to support national development."

"But in exchange, the state must give Super God Group some support."

"My goal is not Blue Star, but the endless universe."

"Exploring the universe requires talent."

"I hope the state will allow Super God Group to establish a university specifically to cultivate talent for the group!" Su Fan looked at the Great Elder with a serious expression.

The Great Elder's gaze was deep. After a moment of thought, he said, "I can grant you this condition. Furthermore, I will specially authorize Super God Group to have the right to open fire outside of national borders."

Su Fan was stunned, then shared a smile with the Great Elder. Previously, when dealing with the Eagle Nation, he had opened fire without state permission, which was technically a violation of national law.

But Su Fan was so important and so powerful that the state had no way—and no desire—to punish him.

Moreover, what he had done truly gratified the Elders. Those arrogant Eagle Nation Allied Forces were now all dead; the Elders had never been as happy as they were today!

Besides, Su Fan and Super God Company were destined to grow into behemoths. Suppression was absolutely not an option; only mutual cooperation could lead to a win-win situation.

Super God Group was already a military-industrial enterprise and could nominally manufacture weapons. Giving him the right to fire weapons outside the borders meant that as long as he was outside Xia Clan territory, Super God Group could do as they pleased.

"Great Elder, thank you for your support!" Su Fan said gratefully, his expression serious.

The Great Elder smiled and waved his hand. "Some things were determined the moment you were born—and that is that you, Su Fan, are a man of the Xia Clan, a descendant of the Xia people!"

"When a child grows up and wants to go out and make a name for himself, the parents must always give some support."

The Great Elder looked at Su Fan and smiled with satisfaction.

Su Fan was moved; he understood the Great Elder's meaning.
