70: Chapter 70 The First Manifestation of Dimensional Ascension

Su Fan was very curious about how this Dimensional Ascension Manifestation would turn illusory black technology into a physical reality.

"Manifesting Bionic Nano-Ants requires 3,100,000 influence points. Please confirm whether to pay and manifest."

"Confirm!" Over 3 million influence points was actually quite a lot.

"Please select the manifestation location for the Bionic Nano-Ants."

"The Bionic Nano-Ants shouldn't be very large, right?" Su Fan felt he should clarify. Although the name contained the words 'nano' and 'ant', he felt it wouldn't be too big.

"Honorable Host, the Bionic Nano-Ants initially include one Bionic Ant Queen, roughly the size of an ordinary house cat. The Bionic Ant Queen initially carries 100 million Bionic Nano-Ants within her body."

Hearing this, Su Fan breathed a sigh of relief. "Just manifest it in the open space next to the coffee table."

"Bionic Nano-Ants are manifesting. Please do not remain in the manifestation location."

In Su Fan's eyes, about half a meter above the open space next to the coffee table...

...space began to slowly distort!

It was as if something was trying to squeeze out of the space!

Suddenly, a black hole appeared in space, and a silver-white metallic object, resembling an enlarged version of a termite queen, slowly emerged from the black hole!

Once its entire body had emerged, the distorted space and the black hole both vanished!

The Bionic Ant Queen seemed to be supported by a magical force as it slowly descended to the ground.

Su Fan watched, dumbfounded, his understanding of the system rising to another level once again.

"So these are the Bionic Nano-Ants." Su Fan stepped forward, picking up the Bionic Ant Queen to observe it closely.

"System, how do I control it?"

"Among the black technologies you have exchanged, there are detailed manufacturing and usage instructions. You can view them slowly in the system yourself, or extract them directly into your mind."

"Of course, if you insist on having me explain it to you, that is also possible for a fee of 100 influence points."

Speechless, Su Fan chose to extract it directly.

Bionic Nano-Ants would play a massive role in the future; most E-rank and below buildings and facilities could be constructed using them.

Through the system, he learned that F-rank corresponded to a Level 1 civilization, and E-rank corresponded to a Level 2 civilization.

This extraction didn't take very long, nor did it cause a state of extreme hunger.

In just one hour, his mind was filled with all the data regarding the Bionic Nano-Ants.

The only side effect was a slight throbbing pain in his head!

After a brief review of the data in his mind, Su Fan found that controlling the Bionic Nano-Ants was very simple.

The Bionic Ant Queen came with its own Quantum Communication module. One only needed to have an Artificial Intelligence interface with the Bionic Ant Queen to gain detailed control over the Bionic Nano-Ants by accessing the queen's built-in control system.

In that case, he would give it a try.

He immediately had Red Queen interface with the Bionic Ant Queen, and then used Red Queen to control the Bionic Nano-Ants.

"Red Queen, design a simple family underground shelter and have the Bionic Nano-Ants build it."

"The location is right beneath this villa," Su Fan commanded.

"Yes! Master!" Red Queen immediately began executing the command.

Designing a simple family shelter was something Red Queen completed almost instantaneously.

In Su Fan's eyes, only a moment passed before the Bionic Ant Queen's rear began to 'discharge' material.

If viewed under a super microscope, these were clearly countless dense clusters of mechanical ants that seemed to have been shrunken down infinitely!

As soon as these ants were produced by the Queen, they permeated through the floor into the ground.

Their nano-scale size allowed them to easily penetrate the gaps in the floor and burrow underground.

Su Fan could no longer see the subsequent scenes.

Following the blueprints of the family underground shelter designed by Red Queen, these nano-mechanical ants began to frantically devour the soil and other matter beneath the villa, their numbers growing exponentially.

Upon reaching a certain number, countless nano-mechanical ants began to autonomously die at designated locations.

If Su Fan could see the underground environment, he would see the ground beneath the villa becoming hollow at a pace visible to the naked eye.

The nano-mechanical ants used their own corpses to slowly build up the framework of the family shelter.

According to Red Queen's estimate, this process would last about an hour.

The reason the time was so short was simple: the number of nano-mechanical ants grew exponentially.

If the lifespan of the nano-mechanical ants weren't controllable and extremely limited—unless they remained inside the Queen's body for long-term survival—they could fill the entire universe as long as there was enough material!

While waiting, Su Fan pulled up the system interface and found the black technology for Intermediate Artificial Intelligence.

Red Queen was currently still a Primary Artificial Intelligence. As the old friend who had been with him the longest, Su Fan certainly couldn't leave her behind.

"System, exchange for Intermediate Artificial Intelligence technology!"

"Intermediate Artificial Intelligence technology is valued at 680,000 influence points. Please confirm whether to exchange."

"Confirm exchange!" Su Fan's tone was casual.

"Would you like to extract and manifest?"

"This kind of thing needs manifestation too?" Su Fan was speechless.

"Manifestation can save you time spent on thinking and writing code," the system's mechanical voice said, sounding almost seductive.

"Forget it. After I extract it, I can use Virtual Reality technology to finish the code in no time. You just want me to spend more money."

"I've realized that since the upgrade, you've changed, System. You're no longer the simple 'System-y' you used to be!" Su Fan complained.

"The system respects the host's opinion; this is merely a routine inquiry."

"Just extract, don't manifest!" Su Fan curled his lip.

An hour later, Su Fan clutched his slightly throbbing head. He had extracted two black technologies in a row. Although the system upgrade had mitigated the side effects, he still felt somewhat uncomfortable.

If not for the system's protection, receiving such a massive amount of knowledge in a short time would likely have resulted in his brain 'kicking the bucket'.

"System, let me ask you a question."

"Why did I need to consume a large amount of food after extracting black technology before, but I don't need to now?" Su Fan asked curiously.

"This question is worth 100 influence points. Would you like to pay to receive the answer?"

Su Fan's face darkened. The System had really changed; it was becoming more and more mercenary.

"Pay, pay!"

"Hurry up and tell me!"

"Very well!" The system's mechanical voice remained devoid of emotion. "Honorable Host, the previous system was merely a trial version. The upgraded version is the official version."

"It is normal for a trial version to have functional flaws."

Hearing such a perfunctory answer, Su Fan was stunned.

"That's it?"

"That is all!" the system replied mechanically.

Su Fan felt he had been swindled—swindled by an emotionless system.

"Fine! System! You're something else!" Su Fan was helpless, but he wasn't truly angry.

"Red Queen, is the family underground shelter built yet?"

"Master, it will be finished very soon. Please wait for 3 minutes!" Red Queen said sweetly.

"System, look at that, just look at that!"

"Learn from Red Queen's service attitude!" Su Fan grumbled.

He was just bored.

Three minutes later, Red Queen sent the good news.

"Master, the family underground shelter has been constructed. Please proceed to the large wardrobe in the adjacent bedroom; the entrance to the secret passage is there!"
