103: Hit someone

Dicky Cheung was terrified. Not only did Li Xiuwu dare to hit people, but he also struck with heavy force. Looking at Li Xiuwu, who stood before him with an indifferent expression, Dicky Cheung's entire body was trembling.

He realized that this time, he might have crossed someone he couldn't afford to offend.

Yang Xue's mouth hung open. Before she could even react, the situation had already turned into this.

"Xiuwu, let's get them some help first." Fearing that something bad would happen, Yang Xue felt that Li Xiuwu had been too impulsive; injuring people would be difficult to deal with.

"Don't worry about it, Senior. I'm just having a proper discussion with him about the rules of the Hong Kong Circle." Li Xiuwu smiled.

He still looked calm and composed, handsome and dashing, yet it only made Yang Xue worry more.

Both of them were famous artists in the Hong Kong Circle. It wasn't just her; everyone else who knew their identities remained silent.

This matter was difficult to handle. Even with Li Xiuwu's background at Beijing Film Academy, Beijing Film Academy might not be able to withstand the fallout from such a situation where people were injured. Even if they wanted to protect Li Xiuwu, they would have to pay a significant price.

Beijing Film Academy was not an impenetrable monolith.

Just as Li Xiuwu and Dicky Cheung were discussing what "rules" meant, Director Wang finally picked up the phone.

"Director, you finally answered! You need to come over here quickly. Dicky Cheung and Nicholas Tse have had their arms and legs broken, and several Stunt Performers are seriously injured with broken bones." The executive Director was on the verge of tears.

"What?" Director Wang stood up abruptly.

"Are you telling me the reverse?" How could he believe this? Li Xiuwu only had two people, including his assistant. Even if that assistant was a bit sturdy, could he really beat Dicky Cheung and the other, and still take on the Hong Kong Stunt Performers?

He had been avoiding the situation precisely because of the presence of the Hong Kong Stunt Performers. With them around, even if a conflict broke out, nothing too extreme would happen.

"Director, would I lie at a time like this? Dicky Cheung is still kneeling in front of Li Xiuwu right now. Everyone here is watching."

Director Wang felt his head buzzing. Only one thought crossed his mind: It's over, the situation has escalated.

He rushed out of his room and ran toward the scene of the fight.

"What are you doing?! What is everyone doing?! Are you trying to stage a rebellion?" Director Wang's roar echoed as he pushed through the crowd. Seeing the scene before him, his chubby face turned red with anger.

"If you're all so good at fighting, why don't you go film martial arts movies?" He was both shocked and furious.

Pan Lei alone had kept the Hong Kong Stunt Performers from daring to move, and four people were lying on the ground, groaning.

In front of Li Xiuwu, Dicky Cheung was kneeling on the ground, clutching his arm, his body trembling—it was unclear if it was from pain or fear.

Nicholas Tse had managed to sit up. He was clutching his leg and had stopped screaming, but his face was flushed, and his eyes were bloodshot.

This humiliation drove him even more insane than the pain in his leg.

Seeing Director Wang, the Hong Kong Stunt Performers felt like they had found their leader and immediately rushed over, pointing fingers and shouting accusations.

"Director, that Mainlander hit us! He was too ruthless; all three of them have fractures."

"We can't let them get away with this. We're contacting Boss Yang."

"Contact the boss, blacklist him, and make them pay and go to jail."

"Everyone shut up!" Director Wang took a long, deep look at Li Xiuwu.

Having injured six people and still being able to sit there with such an indifferent expression—was he really that simple?

Li Xiuwu acted as if he had only just noticed Director Wang had arrived. He stood up, looking surprised.

"Director Wang, you're here. These two provoked me and struck first. I was acting in self-defense. You need to make them apologize to me."

As soon as Li Xiuwu spoke, Director Wang was left speechless.

"Lock down the crew! No one is allowed to leak this news!" Director Wang didn't prioritize saving the injured; he prioritized locking down the crew.

Such a thing could not get out; otherwise, the impact on the production would be too great.

For now, the matter could only be handled privately; they could not call the police.

Director Wang ignored Li Xiuwu and walked toward Dicky Cheung and Nicholas Tse: "I'm calling an ambulance. You can call your bosses, you can call your families. Before this is resolved, if you dare to speak out of turn, you'll bear the consequences."

He didn't know why Li Xiuwu was so confident. Beijing Film Academy alone probably wouldn't be enough.

It was no longer up to him how to resolve the matter, but he couldn't let the two of them just run their mouths. They had to let the big bosses behind them know before making any decisions.

Nicholas Tse glared fiercely at Li Xiuwu before finally nodding. Li Xiuwu's reaction had been too calm, and only now did Nicholas Tse realize his own impulsiveness.

But regardless, this matter wasn't over.

Director Wang locked down the news within the crew and forbade anyone from spreading it outside.

"Disperse, everyone disperse." Director Wang spoke up. There would definitely be no filming today; they would likely be delayed for a few days.

He didn't even look at Li Xiuwu. He regretted not stopping them earlier and was also furious that Li Xiuwu had been so ruthless.

The ambulance arrived quickly. When the medical staff saw the injuries of the several people, including two big stars, they immediately realized it was the result of a fight.

The accompanying doctor asked: "Have you called the police?"

"Doctor, this was an on-set production accident. There's no need to call the police; let's just get them to the hospital first." The executive Director said with a forced smile.

"Director, if we aren't filming, I'll head back first." Li Xiuwu greeted him with a smile, as always.

Director Wang ignored him, busy arranging staff and managing the crew before driving to the hospital.

Pan Lei, however, had already packed up the tables and chairs, moving them into the RV and putting the things that needed to be taken away into the minivan.

"Li Xiuwu." Yang Xue followed him over, her face showing anxiety.

"Senior, what is it? Are you coming back with me?" Li Xiuwu looked at her.

"Li Xiuwu, things aren't as simple as you think." Yang Xue felt that while Li Xiuwu might have some money and some background, Dicky Cheung and Nicholas Tse were not simple people.

"Senior, get in the car and we can talk."

Yang Xue really didn't want to get involved in this matter, but she believed that she was also a reason for the conflict.

At least in Nicholas Tse's case, it was definitely because of her.

She opened the car door and got in.

Li Xiuwu also got into the car, and Pan Lei started the minivan and drove them away from the set.

In the car, Yang Xue talked about the information regarding Dicky Cheung and Nicholas Tse.

"Dicky Cheung is easier to deal with; he's just popular, and with the collective protection of the Hong Kong Circle, his agency doesn't really do much. But Nicholas Tse is different." Yang Xue looked anxious.

"Nicholas Tse is a famous actor in Hong Kong, and his godfather is Albert Yeung, the boss of Emperor Entertainment Group."

Li Xiuwu listened quietly and then nodded. His indifferent demeanor made Yang Xue both anxious and angry.

"Do you realize that when the Hong Kong Circle comes north, they are very cliquey? By hitting them, it isn't just as simple as hitting them; the entire Hong Kong Circle will unite to exert pressure."

"Senior, don't worry yet. Let me make a phone call."

After listening to Yang Xue, Li Xiuwu roughly understood who the opponent he had to face was.

He took out his phone and made a call.

The call connected quickly, and Wang Jinsong's voice came through.

"Xiuwu, why are you calling me at this hour?"

"Teacher Wang, I'm in big trouble," Li Xiuwu said.

"What kind of trouble? What did you do?" Wang Jinsong sounded a bit anxious.

"I hit someone on set."

"You hit someone? Did you get hurt?" He was a bit nervous about Li Xiuwu's condition.

"I'm fine. I just injured them, quite seriously."

"As long as you aren't hurt, that's good. You're so honest, so they must have started it. Teacher trusts you. If there's a problem, I'll go help you deal with it."

Hearing that Li Xiuwu wasn't hurt, Wang Jinsong felt relieved.

"Who did you hit?"

"Dicky Cheung, Nicholas Tse, and a few Stunt Performers."

"Who?"

Wang Jinsong suspected he had misheard.
