58: Take me home, Brother Xiaoyao.

Liu Yifei looked at Li Xiuwu repeatedly.

"What's wrong?"

"Something's wrong with you!"

"What's wrong with me?" Li Xiuwu looked at Liu Yifei in bewilderment.

"Something is just wrong. The way you look at that Deng Jiajia is very different."

"Is it that obvious?" Li Xiuwu touched his face.

"Aha, you admitted it! Tell me, what exactly are you thinking?" Liu Yifei stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at Li Xiuwu. For some reason, she felt a pang of jealousy in her heart.

"Didn't you see how good her acting was?" Li Xiuwu didn't feel guilty; he had just suddenly seen a familiar face.

When he first met Huang Bai, he had also stared for a while. He couldn't possibly have feelings for Huang Bai, could he?

"What are you two doing?" Liu Xiaoli returned, happening upon the two in their standoff.

"Auntie, she's being unreasonable," Li Xiuwu complained first.

"I am not, it's you!"

"What did I do?" Li Xiuwu looked innocent.

"You... hmph." Liu Yifei was too embarrassed to tell her mother.

Time entered December, and the filming for Legend of Sword and Fairy was nearing its end.

"There is no such thing as the ends of the earth in this world."

"Do you know what this is?" the Moon-Worshipping Sect Leader asked Li Xiaoyao, pointing to a drawing with several circles.

"The earth we live on is actually round, a spherical orb."

"Do you think I'm like those fools outside?" Li Xiaoyao said with a face full of confidence and pride.

"In fact, ignorance is a sin. When you discover the truth of the matter, you will hate yourself."

The Moon-Worshipping Sect Leader walked over, a smile on his face.

"That day, the place where you sent Ling'er—you thought it was the safest island in the west, but I tell you, that was the real Xianling Island."

"You could have changed history, but it was destroyed by your ignorance."

"Cut!" Teacher Zhou's voice rang out.

"Good, it's a wrap for this scene. Old Xu's acting is solid; you didn't even laugh at these lines."

"These lines are quite interesting." Old Xu chuckled, looking quite different from his on-screen persona.

In the corner, Liu Yifei asked Li Xiuwu curiously, "What works has Teacher Xu acted in? I see everyone seems to respect him a lot; the way they look at him is full of respect."

"?" Li Xiuwu looked at Liu Yifei in surprise. With which eye did she see people respecting him? Everyone's gaze was weird, okay?

"Don't go snooping around, kid."

"Since none of you will say, I'll find out myself." Liu Yifei pouted, looking very angry.

"Hey, you'd better not. In a few years, we'll watch them together." Li Xiuwu pulled her back.

"Why in a few years? I want to know now." She was still dissatisfied.

"I'm afraid Auntie will hit me."

Liu Yifei looked at Li Xiuwu, her little brain starting to whirl. Her mother wouldn't say, and Li Xiuwu wouldn't say either, and he had that mischievous smile on his face.

"Could it be..." She suddenly covered her mouth.

Her face slowly turned red, and the look in her eyes changed.

"I'll kill you first!" Liu Yifei grabbed a book from the table and smashed it toward Li Xiuwu's head.

"Ouch! I didn't say anything! Are you being reasonable?" Li Xiuwu scurried away, covering his head.

"You still say that? You even wanted to watch them with me in a few years!"

The two of them were fooling around, and many people saw them and smiled knowingly.

Since the two played the male and female leads, they were already quite close, and they were this noisy every day.

The filming reached its final scenes.

Li Xiuwu knelt by the pool, his eyes filled with grief.

"Brother Xiaoyao." A sudden tender voice made him look up, and joy blossomed in his eyes.

"Ling'er, is that you?"

Zhao Ling'er, with a gentle and innocent smile on her face, walked to his side and lightly scraped his nose with her finger.

Li Xiaoyao was surprised and joyful, pulling Zhao Ling'er into his arms.

Filled with happiness, he held Zhao Ling'er's hand.

The two walked forward together. Li Xiaoyao walked in front with light, even jaunty steps, imagining their future life together.

Zhao Ling'er had a smile on her face, her eyes fixed solely on Li Xiaoyao. Even though her body stumbled, she still followed him firmly, walking forward with a gentle gaze full of him.

Li Xiaoyao turned around to take Zhao Ling'er's hand and felt warmth and stickiness. He raised his hand and saw bright red blood.

His expression changed drastically, shifting from happiness to panic, anxiety, and worry, his eyes filled with helplessness.

"Ling'er, Ling'er!" Li Xiaoyao's voice was urgent.

Zhao Ling'er's voice became weak, her face turned pale, and a large amount of blood flowed out.

She collapsed into Li Xiuwu's arms, looking at him with adoration.

"Take me home, Brother Xiaoyao."

"Okay, let's go home." Li Xiaoyao picked up Zhao Ling'er. He reined in his expression and emotions, with only his eyes carrying an irrepressible sadness.

Zhao Ling'er held his neck. Despite her severe injuries, she endured the pain, her eyes fixed on Li Xiaoyao as if he were the only thing in the world, unable to get enough of him.

But she couldn't bear to leave, she really couldn't.

Zhao Ling'er's hand suddenly dropped.

Li Xiaoyao realized something. He stopped, looked up at the sky, and wanted to roar, but he couldn't wake his Ling'er.

Only his sorrowful eyes seemed to be questioning the heavens, asking why they were being treated this way.

Li Xiaoyao walked numbly. He didn't know how long he had been walking. He held a child, unshaven, with messy hair, dirty, and his clothes in disarray.

"Cut!" Teacher Zhou's voice ended this somber scene.

"Brother Xiaoyao." Still immersed in the story, Liu Yifei emotionally threw herself forward and hugged Li Xiuwu.

The emotional women in the crew wiped their tears with tissues, and some men turned their heads away.

This story had gone from beginning to end. They had filmed together, walked through it together, witnessing Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling'er's meeting and acquaintance, to their promise to stay together for life, and finally to their parting in death.

"Sigh!" A sigh for the characters' fates.

"It's okay, it's okay." Li Xiuwu patted Liu Yifei's back.

"Come, look at our baby." Li Xiuwu showed the small baby in his arms to Liu Yifei.

Liu Yifei glanced at the plastic toy baby in the swaddle, and her sadness vanished instantly.

"You can't take that baby away; it's a prop rented by the crew." Someone from the Prop Team passed by, their words ruining the atmosphere.

"What baby? You bad guy!" Liu Yifei was deeply embarrassed, gave Li Xiuwu a playful thump, and ran off.

"Here you go." Li Xiuwu handed the prop baby back to the prop master and walked toward Teacher Zhou.

"Teacher Zhou, how was it?" Li Xiuwu came over to ask.

"Let's watch the playback. If there are no issues, that's it." Teacher Zhou carefully watched the playback of the scenes they had just filmed.

Guo Fan followed beside him, learning and also carefully watching the playback. He nodded to Li Xiuwu, inwardly admiring Li Xiuwu's excellent acting.

This scene was so moving that his nose couldn't help but feel a bit sore as he watched.

After Teacher Zhou finished watching, he looked around and saw that Zhao Jian, Shen Xinghao, and the others had no objections.

He stood up. By now, almost everyone in the crew was paying attention, waiting for Teacher Zhou's command.

Teacher Zhou looked around the set: "It's a wrap!"

"Ohhh!" The staff from each department immediately let out cheers.

To them, there was no sound more beautiful than this.

"Everyone, pack up the equipment. Don't be late for the Wrap Party tonight."
