143: Mr. Yang is so confused!
Shu Chang also joined the video conference, but her camera was facing her back, so it was unclear what she was doing.
"Chang Chang, the video is on. What are you doing?" Liu Yifei reminded her.
"Ah! Oh!" Shu Chang turned around, sat down, and waved hello to them.
"Xixi, this photo of yours is so beautiful! Where did you take it?" Shu Chang also saw the photo Liu Yifei sent, her eyes filled with awe and envy.
"Shu Nan Bamboo Sea."
"Was Shu Nan Bamboo Sea in the plan?" Li Xiuwu suddenly asked. He remembered that the shooting schedule did not include Shu Nan Bamboo Sea.
"Director Guo Fan needed to build a treehouse, so shooting was temporarily impossible. After consideration, he decided to add a segment featuring Yizhu Village, so we came to Shu Nan Bamboo Sea," Liu Yifei explained.
"Isn't he afraid of going over budget?" Li Xiuwu blurted out.
"Ah, is there a budget? How much is the budget?" Liu Yifei asked curiously.
"Good heavens." A person who knows how to spend and a person who has no concept of spending have met. Who can possibly manage this crew now?
"Tell Guo Fan not to go too overboard." Li Xiuwu didn't care how much money was spent, but if there were absolutely no limits, he was afraid Guo Fan would take Liu Yifei and shoot an entire series of *Forest China*.
"Oh." Liu Yifei nodded.
"Shu Chang, have you started shooting yet?" Li Xiuwu asked Shu Chang.
"We've selected the location and taken the costume photos. I'll send them for you to see." Shu Chang also sent the photos she thought looked good to the group chat.
The photos opened, showing a desolate valley. Shu Chang was wearing white fox ears and had a white tail dragging behind her.
She was also wearing a mage's robe, carrying a banner staff on her shoulder, with a realistic white teddy bear doll placed at her feet.
"So cool." Liu Yifei spoke first, feeling an inexplicable sense of handsomeness looking at Shu Chang's photo.
"Mhm, mhm, I think it looks great too." The two chatted about their respective filming ideas and experiences.
The three chatted until ten o'clock that evening before closing Weixin.
The next day, during a break from filming, Shu Chang mentioned to Ning Hao the news that Guo Fan had taken Liu Yifei to Shu Nan Bamboo Sea for shooting.
"That Guo Fan, he has no Martial Virtue." Ning Hao slapped his thigh. He had been trying to figure out how to save money, but the other party completely disregarded cost savings, even running off to Shu Nan Bamboo Sea to add scenes for the character.
He looked at Shu Chang, noticing her relationship with Li Xiuwu seemed unusual, and asked, "It shouldn't be a problem if we spend a bit more money, right?"
"Huh?" Shu Chang wondered, "As long as the work is good, it shouldn't be a problem."
"Don't worry, I definitely won't be outdone by Guo Fan. Nana, look for locations that match the game scenes, preferably beautiful ones." Ning Hao was also afraid that his results would be much worse than Guo Fan's; competition was everywhere.
"The Luntai Poplar Forest, with its golden poplars throughout the year, has a certain degree of compatibility with the Monster Race scenes in the game." Xing Na quickly found the desired location for Ning Hao.
"Take some people to contact the venue first. After we finish shooting at the Loess Plateau, we'll go to the Luntai Poplar Forest."
...Albert Yeung received no help in The Capital and returned to Hong Kong, rushing about.
"Old Yang, if you lose, you have to admit it and leave yourself a way out." Someone advised him.
Everyone already understood that the opponent intended to take down Emperor Entertainment Group.
Even some of Hong Kong's top businessmen had spoken to Qiu Wanjun, and Qiu Wanjun stated that he would only target Emperor Entertainment Group and not expand, ensuring no other commercial disruption.
Hong Kong's top business figures couldn't figure out Qiu Wanjun's background, were unwilling to conflict with this 'Crossing-River Dragon', and tacitly approved his actions against Emperor Entertainment Group.
Albert Yeung returned to his villa, clutching a wine bottle. He had drunk a lot, and the more he thought about it, the angrier he became, eventually smashing the bottle on the ground.
He sent his children away and dialed a number.
"Chief Qiu, that dog Albert Yeung called me and asked me to find people to assassinate you. He offered one million for you and Chief Wang, and between ten thousand and one hundred thousand for other Giant Crocodile Investment employees."
A reserved-looking man put away his phone, walked over, and relayed the contents of the call.
Those present gasped.
Across from Qiu Wanjun and Wang Cheng sat more than a dozen people. If Albert Yeung were here, he would definitely recognize them—they were essentially the management layer of various Emperor Entertainment Group companies.
Qiu Wanjun frowned: "Everyone, we only wish to take over Emperor Entertainment Group peacefully. Your positions will not change, and may even advance."
"But Boss Yang is not content to be idle," he said, looking regretful.
"Chief Qiu, you have done everything you could. It is Albert Yeung who chose the path of crime."
"Boss Yang is confused! How could he embark on a criminal path?"
"That's right, that's right. We have worked with Boss Yang for so many years. His thinking is still extreme, and we have a responsibility to correct his extremist views."
Everyone spoke at once. Since they had already come to Qiu Wanjun and decided to switch allegiance to the new boss, what was there left for them to fear saying?
What's more, even Qin Sanbao had been turned by Qiu Wanjun. You must know that he was Boss Yang's hired thug, and before The Handover, he did countless shady things for him.
"Since everyone feels that Boss Yang should receive an Education in the Rule of Law, then we shall help him." Qiu Wanjun was all smiles.
These Hong Kong businessmen had nothing they wouldn't sell. After receiving a reminder from Lin Qian, he began investigating the people who helped Albert Yeung commit illegal acts.
Qin Sanbao, a man with an ordinary appearance who didn't look particularly vicious, was nonetheless one of Albert Yeung's most capable assistants from the old era.
Qiu Wanjun had people find him. People who run in the underworld talk about Loyalty and Righteousness? They must be crazy.
Furthermore, he knew about many of Albert Yeung's illegal activities.
The next day, Qin Sanbao brought a lawyer and several people to Albert Yeung's house.
"Qin Sanbao, why are you at my house? Didn't I tell you not to come here?" Albert Yeung's expression changed drastically when he saw Qin Sanbao.
A person like him, who conducts business openly, was most afraid of his relationship with someone like Qin Sanbao becoming public knowledge.
"What are you doing, Boss Yang? I am now the Head of Security for Giant Crocodile Investment, and this is our company's legal counsel. We're here to discuss a transaction with you." Qin Sanbao flashed a brilliant smile.
He felt extremely satisfied. He had risked life and death for Albert Yeung and done many things for him.
After The Handover, everything from before was no longer pursued, yet Albert Yeung still made him hide, refusing to give him a legitimate identity.
Did he want his children to also live a life of danger, Licking Blood Off the Knife's Edge, like him?
He wanted to earn a bright future for his child.
"You actually betrayed me!" Albert Yeung questioned loudly.
"What did Boss Yang say?" Qin Sanbao dug at his ear and asked him mockingly, "What relationship do I have with you?"
Albert Yeung opened his mouth; their relationship could not be made public.
"Albert Yeung, why don't you look at the contracts?" The legal counsel stepped forward and placed several Share Transfer Agreements on the table.
"Impossible." Albert Yeung threw them all onto the floor without even looking.
The legal counsel didn't mind. Instead, Qin Sanbao spoke up: "Boss Yang, when your Sons were sent away, who did you arrange to look after them?"
"What are you trying to do?" Albert Yeung's face changed drastically, and he glared menacingly at Qin Sanbao.
"Boss Yang is a smart man. Look at the contracts, sign them, and then turn yourself in."
Albert Yeung looked at Qin Sanbao, who wore an indifferent expression. This reaction made Albert Yeung uncertain; he knew Qin Sanbao's methods because Qin Sanbao was someone he had personally cultivated.
Silently, he picked up the contracts and flipped through them, then looked at the legal counsel from Giant Crocodile Investment with a shocked expression.
"Boss Yang, unlike you, we are a legitimate company. The acquisition price is the current market value."
"Heh heh." Albert Yeung ignored the legal counsel and looked at Qin Sanbao instead.
"How much money did he give you for you to betray me?" He was still unwilling to accept it, as he believed he was the one who paid to keep Qin Sanbao.
"Chief Qiu gave fifty thousand."
"He only gave you fifty thousand, and you betrayed me?"
"The two million you offered was for murder, a criminal act. Even a Big Fool knows how to choose."
