118: Level 4 Hunter

The moment the Porcupine flew out, the Wind Blade spewed by the Dragon King struck him, triggering a stunning effect.

“Caw—!”

The Druid's falcon companion swooped down from the sky, tearing a large wound on the Porcupine's back.

“Awooo—!”

The six Shadow Forest Wolves summoned by the Forest Nymph swarmed the Porcupine just as he was about to land.

The nearby Inferno Fist Guards quickly surrounded the Porcupine, completely encircling him.

I leaped onto the window, and a sharp poisoned arrow instantly shot out, piercing through the gaps in the wolf pack, its arrowhead embedding itself in the Porcupine's throat.

“Ding!”

The system notified me that my Hunter level had become a Level 4 Hunter—

“Over the past month, with the growth of your body and guidance from a renowned master, your martial arts have greatly improved. Your physical attributes, honed through reasonable training and extremely dangerous environments, have increased by 1 point each for Strength, Agility, and Constitution.

You have grasped the technique of firing two arrows simultaneously in a very short time, greatly improving your archery.

【Attributes】: Strength 7, Agility 14+1, Constitution 9, Intelligence 16 (+3 Otherworld Knowledge System = 19), Perception 12, Charisma 12

【Hunter Abilities】:

• Proficient in exploration and combat in woodlands.

* Your party, when traveling in forest or woodland terrain, will not be slowed by difficult terrain due to your presence;

* Unless affected by magical effects, your party will not get lost in forest or woodland terrain;

* When traveling, even if you are engaged in another activity (such as foraging, navigating, or tracking), you remain alert to danger;

* When traveling alone, you can maintain a hidden state while moving at a normal pace;

* When foraging, you find twice the amount of food;

* When tracking other creatures, you can also learn their exact number, size, and how long ago they left a trail.

• Proficient in archery, spears, shortswords, and twin blades (short hunting knives) in combat.

Archery (Shortbow): **** Expert Level

Red Tassel Spear (Spear) / Shortsword and Flying Sword (Twin Swords / Single Sword): *** Master Level

Short Hunting Knife (Twin Blades / Single Blade): ** Proficient Level

【Dual Arrow Shot】

A special skill self-taught by the host.

Allows the use of a shortbow to simultaneously fire two highly accurate arrows, with no reduction in damage for each arrow.

Can either strike two different targets (with angle limitations) or strike the same target.

When two arrows strike the same target, it not only deals double damage but also has a chance to add 1d6 points of extra damage.

…

My Hunter profession level has upgraded again!

It seems that during the auxiliary attack just now, a series of fluid archery outputs led the system to calculate my ability growth, reaching the level of a Level 4 Hunter.

Although there were many system messages, I finished reading them in an instant.

I continued to direct everyone to clear out every corner of the Porcupine Thieves Guild.

With the Porcupine dead, most of the surviving thieves surrendered, except for a few who continued to resist stubbornly.

After subduing the remaining individuals, we began to clear the battlefield.

The Inferno Fist Guards' iron boots crunched over the gravel as they brought Scar Ear before me.

“Where are the things I lost yesterday?” I asked coldly.

“In… in the room next to the Porcupine's room, there’s… there’s a secret door leading to the training ground, and behind the training ground there’s… his usual treasure vault, it’s probably in there,” Scar Ear said, wiping sweat from his brow.

“Lead the way,” I said expressionlessly.

The Porcupine's room was on the second floor, but the room next to his had a staircase leading downwards inside.

As Scar Ear opened the secret door, two hired stealth agents watched his movements carefully from the side.

Following the stairs down, we arrived beneath the ground—a small underground dungeon.

It was equipped with many dungeons, trap mechanisms, and tools for training stealth agents.

Mara and Han Ting had already died in the dungeon.

There were also several exits here, and indeed some people had escaped through the underground passages.

Passing through the training ground, Scar Ear led us to a complex of underground buildings.

Inside one building, there was a heavy mechanical door on the earthen wall. The vault door swallowed the key found on the Porcupine, and the sound of gears turning was like a giant dragon grinding its teeth.

Subsequently, a secret treasure vault appeared before my eyes.

Randall and I entered the vault. After a reconnaissance, we found it contained the accumulated treasures of the Thieves' Guild over many years, as well as unsold stolen goods.

All of my lost items were there.

There were also many traps inside, some of which I couldn't open.

After collecting some items into my system space, Randall and I came out and had two Inferno Fist Guards guard the vault.

The rest of the group left some to guard the captives and secure the entire stronghold.

As I led most of the people back to the first floor, an Inferno Fist Guard came to report.

Gray Scale, the former Duke held on the second floor of the mall, had just been rescued by a mage.

“Tell me the detailed circumstances of Gray Scale's abduction,” I said.

“It… it was a mage who entered the mall, and we all thought he was there to shop. Who knew he would directly break into the second floor?” the Inferno Fist Guard replied, “We couldn't stop him. The thick fog you set up, Lord, was dispersed by the hurricane he summoned, and your traps were also disarmed one by one. Then…”

“Keep going,” I urged.

I was already mentally prepared for the Crystal Mist to be dispersed by either a super strong wind or a strong wind summoned by a master spellcaster.

“Then that mage just found his way to the private room where the former Duke was held, cast a spell, and disappeared with the former Duke.”

After listening to the Inferno Fist Guard, I sat down at a nearby table.

I took out two spellbooks from the Qiankun Ring and flipped through them.

The spells recorded in these two spellbooks that could teleport people were—

Level 3 Conjuration spell: Thunder Step, Level 4 Conjuration spell: Dimension Door, and Level 7 Conjuration spell: Teleport.

The minimum mage level to cast a Level 3 spell is Level 5, the minimum mage level to cast a Level 4 spell is Level 7, and the minimum mage level to cast a Level 7 spell is Level 13.

If it's a Level 5 or Level 7 mage, that's fine.

But if it's an Archmage of Level 13 or higher, what's the point of fighting!

Not only is his spellcasting level high, but he must also have a massive amount of spell scrolls and magical items.

I judged that the possibility of him being an Archmage of Level 13 or higher was very high; otherwise, how could Gray Scale have such confidence to rebel.

The highest-level members in my party are the Level 7 Holy Knight Randall and the newly hired Level 7 Sword Saint.

The highest-level individual in the entire Allied Forces is the Kedas City Lord, a Level 10 Dawn Priest.

None of them could be a match for an Archmage of Level 13 or higher.
