83: miracle

As the payment for the transaction was being made, Old Hather suddenly spoke, "Wait."

He pulled out an exquisite scale from his Arms, "Let's weigh it with my scale. Those bandits didn't fancy this little thing this afternoon, so I picked it up." He gave Jasper a meaningful look, "After all, a merchant's scale can sometimes 'accidentally' go wrong."

Jasper's expression changed slightly, but quickly returned to normal: "Haha, Old Hather, you're still so cautious."

...

When I finished appraising the two magical items, I couldn't help but be shocked by their powerful attributes.

I turned to Randall, a hint of excitement in my voice: "Randall, quickly go into the tent and put on these two pieces of equipment, I want to see the effect!"

Randall nodded, took the armor and shield, called his Holy Knight attendant John, and walked into the tent together.

Old Hather leaned over to me and whispered, "Ryan, what's with the holy emblems on those two pieces of equipment? I remember you just had the elves draw ordinary holy emblems, didn't you?"

"Probably divine favor," I replied.

Old Hather's face was filled with shock and adoration.

After a while, the tent's curtain was pulled open by a slightly trembling hand, and John stumbled out.

This young man, usually quite composed, was now flushed, his eyes sparkling with unconcealed excitement and adoration.

He opened his mouth, as if to say something, but only stammered out a few syllables: "My...my Lord he..."

Just then, a steady sound of footsteps came from inside the tent. Everyone's gaze involuntarily focused on the figure about to appear.

First to appear were a pair of steel-armored boots, which made a resounding clang as they stepped out of the tent.

Immediately following, Randall Barkman's tall figure was fully revealed before everyone.

The 21-year-old Holy Knight was already extraordinarily handsome, and now, adorned in full heavy armor, he appeared even more majestic.

Firelight shimmered on his brand new armor, as if bestowing a layer of divine radiance upon him.

His short brown hair gleamed warmly in the firelight, and his full forehead reflected the silver light from the armor.

His deep brown eyes sparkled with unwavering resolve under the firelight, and his high nose cast a resolute shadow on his cheek.

His 1.9-meter height appeared even more imposing with the armor, and his pale complexion took on a warm hue in the firelight, yet it did not diminish his sacred aura in the slightest.

Every steel plate of his full armor shimmered with silver light, and the meticulously designed curves refracted the firelight into countless tiny points of light, enveloping his entire being in a hazy glow.

The intricate carved patterns on the armor were faintly visible under the firelight, and the holy emblem on his chest emitted a faint golden glow, as if slowly flowing with life.

The exquisite holy emblem was meticulously drawn within a shield-shaped outline:

At the very top was a golden crown, with a delicate black panther paw inlaid in the center of the crown, its claws outlined in gold; below were two tusk-like golden short swords crossed.

Randall moved his body, and the armor made a slight metallic clanking sound, yet it did not seem cumbersome at all.

He raised a tower shield as tall as a man, and the huge holy emblem on the shield seemed to light upβ€”the same golden crown and black panther paw, crossed tusk short swords, only this time without the surrounding shield-shaped outline.

In the night, that light traced a golden arc, reflecting on his chiseled face, adding a sacred and inviolable aura to him.

John finally found his voice, exclaiming excitedly, "My Lord, you...you look like the God of War himself!"

Randall smiled slightly, a smile that carried the youthful vigor characteristic of a young man, yet also contained a composure beyond his years.

His deep eyes swept over everyone, his gaze holding both a warrior's steadfastness and a Holy Knight's compassion.

Firelight danced on his brand new armor, each movement reflecting different light, as if countless stars revolved around him.

Randall tilted his head slightly, his brown hair gently swaying. His deep eyes swept over everyone, and a gentle yet sacred smile played on his lips.

At this moment, Randall was not only our guardian but also a living legend.

He stood there like a bridge connecting heaven and earth, perfectly blending divine power with mortal courage.

In the firelight, the holy emblem on his chest shone brightly, the golden outline of the black panther paw shimmering with mysterious light, as if telling an eternal legend of courage, loyalty, and sacrifice.

Everyone's gaze was fixed on the figure who had emerged.

"Gods above..." Old Hather murmured, almost dropping the scale in his hand.

Randall's figure was reflected in his cloudy eyes, as if he was seeing a deity.

"How does it feel?" I asked, my voice filled with unconcealed anticipation.

Randall took a deep breath: "Unbelievable. This armor feels like a part of my body; I can feel the divine power contained within it." He gently stroked the holy emblem on his chest, "And, I seem to be able to sense the presence of Undead Creatures around me."

Just then, a sudden strange noise came from the darkness at the edge of the camp.

Randall instinctively turned, and the holy emblem on his shield suddenly lit up. A golden beam of light shot into the darkness, followed by a shrill scream.

"It's an Undead Creature!" Randall said in a deep voice, but there was no fear in his voice, only determination, "Let me handle it."

He strode into the darkness, the holy emblems on his armor and shield illuminating each other, tracing a golden path in the night. We heard more screams from the darkness, and then the sound of heavy objects falling.

When Randall returned to the firelight, there wasn't a single scratch on his armor or shield. "Just a few skeletons," he said calmly, "the power of the armor and shield is even stronger than I imagined."

Old Hather finally came to his senses, exclaiming excitedly, "This is simply a miracle! With him alone in the party, ordinary bandits won't dare to come near us anymore!"
