38: Officially became a first-level magician (data transition chapter)
Since that day half a year ago, a part of my life has undergone earth-shattering changes.
I began to hear the whispers of trees, feel the breath of the wind, and even engage in simple communication with the animals in the forest.
More importantly, I gradually learned how to harness these natural forces, transforming them into powerful spells.
I found that when I concentrated, closed my eyes, and breathed deeply, those natural spells would flow out naturally, like a generous gift from the Forest God.
The Forest God that often appeared in my dreams was a large, black panther—that was Black Little Leopard’s mother.
Even when I used these natural spells, I subconsciously always believed that this panther was giving me magical power.
It seemed as if it was the embodiment of the Forest God.
And in these past six months, in addition to calming my mind daily to sense the aura of nature, I also relentlessly practiced martial arts and delved into various hunter skills.
Now, the system-organized data of my hunter skills shows that I have already become a Level 3 Hunter—
[Hunter Abilities]:
• Proficient in forest exploration and combat.
• Proficient in archery, spears, short swords, and dual blades (short hunting knives) in weapon combat.
Archery: *** Master Level
Short Hunting Knife (Dual/Single Blade) / Short Sword (Dual/Single Sword): ** Proficient Level
Spear: * Beginner Level
• Possesses 3 Level 1 Hunter spell slots.
• Known Hunter Spells:
Level 1 Spells: Animal Communication, Hunter's Mark, Jump.
• Special Skills: Flame Arrow, Self-made Arrows (tree branch arrows, sharp stone arrows, beast tooth arrows, etc.)
The newly acquired spear skill is a fusion of my techniques for using staves, staffs, short swords, and daggers.
And drawing on my memories of using the Red Tassel Spear from the Eastern Great Nation on Blue Planet before I transmigrated, I created moves such as the Returning Horse Spear, Throat Lock Spear, Shadowless Spear, Spear Like a Roaming Dragon, Silver Serpent Spitting Venom, and Golden Dragon Wagging Tail.
In real hunting combat, I continuously honed these moves with the spear, and initial results are already visible.
Jump is a new Hunter spell I comprehended, and its casting materials are easily obtainable in the forest.
[Jump]

Besides this, I also studied the books and notes left by my six teachers every day, not daring to be idle for a single day.
Every day, in addition to comprehending and honing Hunter spells and skills, I also learned multiple languages from Sphere Professor and self-studied magical knowledge in my remaining time.
I found that I indeed possessed the talent for both the Hunter and Mage professions, just as my teachers had said.
Over the past six months, I not only mastered two new cantrips, “Thunder Sword” and “Read Magic,” but also learned a Level 1 spell, “Thunderwave.”
According to the classification information provided by the system, this signifies that I have completely shed my identity as a Mage apprentice and officially advanced to a Level 1 Mage.
[Mage Abilities]:
• Proficient in learning spells of all schools.
• Particularly proficient in learning and using lightning spells.
• Proficient in combat with daggers, staves, staffs, and slings.
Dagger, Staff, Staff, and Sling: * Beginner Level
• Possesses 1 (+1) Level 1 Mage spell slot (cantrips are unlimited. Starting from Level 1 spells, an additional lightning spell slot is added for each spell level higher than 1).
• Known Mage Spells:
Level 0 (Cantrips): Create Bonfire, Ray of Frost, Mage Hand, Thunderclap, Read Magic, Thunder Sword
Level 1 Spells: Thunderwave
• Special Skill: Dual Wielding
Has a high chance to cast two concentration spells at the same time.
The spell information summary organized by the system is as follows:
[Thunder Sword]
Spell Level: Level 0 (Cantrip)
Spell School: Evocation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self (5-foot radius)
Components: Verbal, Material (a usable melee weapon)
Duration: 1 round (approx. 6 seconds)
The caster swings the weapon used as a spell component, making a melee weapon attack against one creature within 5 feet of you.
If the attack hits, the target takes the normal effects of the attack and is enveloped in explosive energy until the start of your next turn.
If the target willingly moves 5 feet or more before then, it immediately takes 1d8 thunder damage, and the spell ends.
The damage of this spell increases with the caster’s level.

[Read Magic]
Spell Level: Level 0 (Cantrip)
Spell School: Divination
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self
Components: Verbal
Duration: 10 minutes/level
Save: None
Allows the caster to understand and master new magical knowledge through reading or study.
This includes, but is not limited to, magical texts, magical runes, magical scrolls, magical barriers, magical insignias, etc.
It is not limited to the above types of magical textual knowledge but also includes acquiring new magical knowledge by studying magical items, literature, or other forms of magical knowledge.

Given my affinity for lightning elements, the first Level 1 spell I chose was “Thunderwave,” recorded in Wizard Wedell’s spellbook—
[Thunderwave]
Spell Level: Level 1
Spell School: Evocation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self (15-foot cube)
Components: Verbal, Somatic
Duration: Instantaneous
A wave of thunder sweeps out from the caster’s body.
Each creature in a 15-foot cube centered on the caster must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn’t pushed.
In addition, all unsecured objects that are completely within the area are automatically pushed 10 feet away.
This spell also emits a thunderous boom audible within 300 feet.
Higher Level Spell Effect: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell’s damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.

It has been over a year since I came to this world, and looking at the attribute panel recorded by the system, it shows that my overall attributes in all aspects have significantly improved.
