54: Fierce Battle

The Water Elemental swung its arms, condensed from water currents, and a huge water ball materialized in the air, emitting a deep roar as it smashed towards the two Phase Spiders with an unstoppable force.

However, just as the water ball was about to hit, the two spiders' figures suddenly vanished, as if they had melted into the air.

The next moment, one of them teleported several meters horizontally, while the other mysteriously appeared behind the Water Elemental.

"Boom!" Two massive water balls crashed onto the ground, splashing water everywhere, the droplets shimmering with golden light under the setting sun.

The Phase Spider behind the Water Elemental suddenly sprang up, opening its grotesque maw, its sharp fangs savagely piercing into the Water Elemental's body.

Green venom rapidly injected, and with the rapidly flowing water inside the Water Elemental, the venom quickly spread throughout its body, causing the entire enormous Water Elemental to glow with a faint blue-green hue.

However, the Water Elemental seemed unaffected; its constantly rotating eyes looked to the right.

The water ball in its right hand rapidly changed shape, condensing into a sharp ice blade.

At the same time, its pillar-like long arm, carrying the ice blade, swiftly danced and elongated, slashing fiercely at one of the Phase Spiders.

As this Phase Spider teleported forward again, with a "crack," the ice blade sliced through the air, severing its two hind legs.

The Phase Spider let out a sharp shriek, its mangled body staggering as it reappeared several meters ahead.

Simultaneously, I aimed at the Phase Spider that was initially hit by the arrow and continuously fired five Flame Arrows.

Three arrows accurately struck, and flames spread across the spider's exoskeleton, emitting a sizzling burning sound.

The continuous scorching made it shriek in pain, its teleportation frequency noticeably decreased, and its movements became sluggish.

The Dragon King seized the opportunity, swooping down from the sky, its sharp dragon claws deeply piercing into the Phase Spider's compound eyes.

The spider frantically shook its massive head, trying to shake off the Dragon King.

The Phase Spider shrieked incessantly in pain, rolling on the ground, but it could not shake off the Dragon King in the slightest.

The Dragon King opened its mouth, revealing a row of dense, sharp teeth, and bit down hard.

Amidst intense struggles and shrieks, this Phase Spider finally collapsed to the ground, completely losing its life.

I flipped my left hand upwards, and the shortbow was instantly stored into my system space.

Then, facing the other Phase Spider that had broken free from the Mana Vines, I began to chant a spell in a low voice, then pointed sharply forward.

A cold, blue-white beam of light shot out from my fingertip, speeding towards the Phase Spider.

"Bang... Swish..."

It hit. The Ray of Frost created a small indentation on the Phase Spider's head, and white frost rapidly spread from that point across the spider's body.

Zero-level cantrip Ray of Frost: The target takes 1d8 points of cold damage and its speed is reduced by 10 feet per second for 6 seconds.

This spider's speed noticeably slowed down.

I unhesitatingly cast Ray of Frost again, bringing the other spider into the attack range as well.

Two Wild Dogs barked wildly, rushing towards the two Phase Spiders in front of them.

Their powerful hind legs kicked out flower-shaped small pits in the snow, raising a lot of snow particles that flew into the air and then gently fell back to the ground.

...

But at this moment, the spider with the broken leg, the spider hit by the Ray of Frost, and the spider that had never been hit, suddenly flashed simultaneously, crossing a distance of more than ten meters and appearing before us.

Fiona reacted the fastest; she cast a spell, and a Mana Vine quickly emerged from the ground beneath her feet, blocking the Phase Spider in front of her.

Then, she pulled Lilian back quickly, while shouting, "Be careful!"

Although Fiona's Mana Vines could temporarily hinder the Phase Spiders, their blinking ability almost rendered the Mana Vines ineffective.

Randall raised his shield, firmly blocking the immense force of the one-legged spider charging forward.

Under the impact of the shield, this spider lost its footing, lost balance, and fell backward. Randall took the opportunity to press down the shield, using his entire weight to firmly pin the spider to the ground.

And the Phase Spider in front of me, although stiff and slow due to the Ray of Frost, the magical effect was about to disappear.

Black Little Leopard, like a black lightning bolt, pounced on this spider that appeared in front of me, but it was kicked far away by the spider's back leg.

The strength of these giant spiders was surprisingly great.

How could I find their weakness? I couldn't help but feel anxious, and at the same time, I cast Ray of Frost again, trying to slow down the spider's speed.

It lunged at me with its massive maw open.

I unhesitatingly released the Ray of Frost condensed at my fingertips, and the beam accurately shot into the spider's maw.

Frost spread from within, and the spider's movements slowed down again.

John, behind me, quickly filled Randall's empty spot, holding a spear and fiercely thrusting it into the spider's abdomen.

On the other side, next to the Mana Vines left by Fiona, George also raised his spear and thrust it at another Phase Spider.

The two Wild Dogs, at this point, returned from the open ground in front, sprinting with all their might towards the spiders that had flashed behind them.

At the same time, I flipped my palm, tightly grasping two 'Dire Wolf King's Fang' daggers, the wolf sinews on the hilt tightly wrapped around my wrists.

The frozen Phase Spider, as if in slow motion, slowly continued to pounce on me.

I chanted a spell, and the two fang daggers in my hands swept upwards one after another.

Zero-level cantrip, 'Thunder Sword' complete.

Then, I suddenly spread my arms, and the fang daggers flew out of my hands, shooting towards the two Phase Spiders.

Compared to John and George's spears, my flying swords were faster, striking the heads of the two spiders first, despite being released later.

Through the subtle vibrations on the wolf sinews, I felt that the tips of the two flying swords had penetrated the spider's hard exoskeleton, causing considerable damage.

The Thunder Sword magical power on the fang daggers was transferred to the two spiders, and they were enveloped in explosive energy.

Both daggers simultaneously triggered their vampiric ability, and I felt life energy rapidly gathering on my body, forming an additional "false life" protective film.

It made me feel my body instantly much stronger.

I flicked my wrist, and the two daggers flew back.

The two Phase Spiders shrieked in pain, their sharp cries ringing in my ears.

I gripped the fang daggers again, preparing to launch a new round of attacks.

"Everyone, be careful, they might flash again!" I warned.

At this moment, John and George's spears were also about to strike the spiders' lower abdomens.

It was an afterimage! Just as the spears were about to hit, the figures of the two spiders suddenly vanished.

They activated their flash ability again, appearing behind us.

The Phase Spiders' flash ability made them elusive, and every attack was full of uncertainty.
