78: Buy
I approached the shelves and began to meticulously browse the various magical items displayed there.
The shelves were dazzlingly arrayed, mostly with spell scrolls, which were carefully rolled and neatly arranged on the shelf tops.
Many of the spell names on the scrolls were unheard of to me, and their magical runes shimmered with mysterious light.
The price of a single scroll ranged from over a hundred gold coins to several hundred gold coins, and there were even some precious spellbooks and spell notes, marked at tens of thousands of gold coins, which was astounding.
Besides spell scrolls, the shelves also held blank scroll paper and ink used for transcribing spell scrolls.
These papers and inks varied in quality, with prices ranging from dozens of gold coins to hundreds of gold coins.
The magical equipment area was equally dazzling.
Various amulets, rings, staves, wizard robes, and other equipment emitted tempting magical auras, and their prices also ranged from hundreds of gold coins to tens of thousands of gold coins.
As I gazed at the equipment shimmering with magical light, I couldn't help but sigh inwardly, realizing that the wizard profession was truly not for just anyone.
I looked down at the few thousand gold coins in my system space, pondering how to better develop my wizardry.
Earning money simply by robbing bandits on the road was far too slow.
I had to find a faster way to accumulate wealth.
On the other side of the shelves, various potions and elixirs were displayed.
From Healing Potions to magical elixirs, from regeneration potions to strength potions, everything was available.
There were also various resistance-boosting potions for cold and electricity, as well as temporary attribute-boosting potions like Explosive Potions and potions that enhance perception and insight.
The prices of these potions also ranged from dozens of gold coins to hundreds of gold coins.
Additionally, the shelves also contained some enchanted arrows and sling bullets, neatly stacked in wooden crates. These arrows and sling bullets shimmered with faint magical light, priced from dozens of gold coins to hundreds of gold coins per bundle.
There were simply too many good things, but my pockets were shallow, so I could only carefully compare and select.
Ultimately, I chose some items that the team could use right now:
Two ammunition belts, for carrying more arrows and equipment;
A potion box, to conveniently store and manage various potions;
A scroll case, to protect my precious spell scrolls;
Three Healing Potions, for emergencies;
Two spell scrolls that were not in my spellbook, which would provide me with new magical knowledge.
And a ream of blank scroll paper, a bottle of magic ink, and a magic pen.
I had become very proficient at transcribing spell scrolls by practicing with my magic notebook, and now I was ready to try transcribing onto paper blank scrolls.
It would be a good option whether for personal use or future sale.
Ammunition Belt
This belt is well-suited for carrying projectiles, darts, arrows, and similar items.
Statistics:
Weight: 2
—These two quivers are for John and George, one each. Their current melee combat skills are mediocre. With these two ammunition belts, their ranged attack capabilities can be greatly enhanced.
I have my own system space, so I don't have to worry about where to put arrows.
With this equipment, combined with the goblin shortbows we previously acquired, their combat power can immediately increase significantly.
potion box
Typically carried by itinerant healers, this leather case folds open, allowing the user to strap delicate potion vials securely to one of its padded sides, thus safely transporting these medicines during travel.
Statistics:
Weight: 2
—This potion box is for Randall to use; it's designed much better than my previous potion box. As a Holy Knight who serves as a melee tank, having a convenient supply of potions will greatly increase his survivability and endurance in combat.
Scroll Case
This sturdy container can hold dozens of scrolls, safe from fire, rain, or lightning damage—dangers often encountered by adventuring wizards.
Statistics:
Weight: 2
—This scroll case is for myself.
Healing Potion
Upon drinking this potion, the user restores 9 hit points. The effect is immediate, and the potion is consumed after drinking.
Statistics:
Special Function: Restores 9 hit points
Weight: 1
—This is also for Randall.
Strong Acid Arrow
This arrow is coated with a special acid that, upon hitting an enemy, not only penetrates their flesh but also corrodes and widens the wound, intensifying the enemy's pain.
Statistics:
Zero-level hit: +1
Damage: 1d6 + 1, + 2d6 acid damage
Damage Type: Ranged
Launcher: Bow
Weight: 0
—There were many other powerful magical arrows, but they were too expensive, so I didn't choose them. I only picked 5 Strong Acid Arrows.
Alton, the Halfling hunter, had given me Strong Acid Arrows among the magical arrows he gifted me.
There were also very useful Explosive Arrows and Vine Arrows. However, I didn't see these two types of magical arrows on Tyrantier the wizard's shelves.
All these goods cost me a hefty sum of 2632 gold coins.
When I tried to ask Tyrantier the wizard to round down the price, he simply ignored me.
When I handed over the last two gold coins to Tyrantier, he flipped his hand and collected all the gold coins.
I also couldn't tell where Tyrantier put the gold coins.
However, I did see magical spatial storage equipment on the shelves priced at hundreds of thousands of gold coins.
Bag of Holding
Like other magical bags, this one appears to be an ordinary 2x4-foot cloth bag. When opened, the bag becomes an endless space, and its interior is larger than its exterior dimensions. Regardless of what is placed inside this bag, the bag's weight always remains the same.
Statistics:
Weight: 5
...
Hundreds of thousands of gold coins, I wonder when I'll ever have that much money.
Fortunately, I have my system space to use.
