79: distribute

After the transaction was complete, Tyrantier's cold voice echoed through the shop: "I heard Gorebest has been having some trouble recently. If you are fortunate enough to help them resolve their issues and improve your reputation in this area, you will receive a discount on future purchases from me." His tone seemed to carry a subtle, almost imperceptible hint.

Upon hearing this, Randall immediately asked politely, "Excuse me, Tyrantier, what kind of trouble is Gorebest having?" He tried to glean more information from the mysterious mage.

However, Tyrantier snorted coldly and said impatiently, "Hmph! I don't have time to answer your foolish questions. Go ask in town yourself! From now on, I hope you only come to me if you have something special, or if you want to buy magic. I've already told you, I hope you leave."

Randall, seeing this, immediately bowed to Tyrantier, pulling me with him, and respectfully said, "We apologize for disturbing you. We will leave at once." With that, he turned and led me towards the door.

Just as we were about to step out the door, Tyrantier's voice came from behind us again: "If you have any special magic items that need appraisal in the future, you can also come to me. Of course, appraisal is not free." There was a hint of playfulness in his voice.

We turned around, only to find that Tyrantier had vanished.

Only his magic projection remained, standing quietly in front of the shelves.

When we returned to the caravan, more than an hour had passed since we left. Everyone had already packed up and was either standing or sitting by the wagons, waiting for our return so we could continue on our way.

As soon as Randall and I approached, Dragon King, Black Little Leopard, the two Wild Dogs, John, and George all immediately came to greet us.

I took out the equipment I bought for John and George from my system space: two "Ammunition Shoulder Straps" filled with arrows.

When the two saw their new equipment, their eyes lit up, and they were so happy they almost jumped.

"Quick, try them on!" I said to them with a smile.

John and George eagerly took the shoulder straps and put them on.

They took out their short bows and began to test-fire arrows at nearby trees. The sound of arrows cutting through the air and the dull thud of them hitting tree trunks intertwined, full of power.

"This is great! These shoulder straps are so convenient!" John shouted excitedly.

George also nodded repeatedly. After firing a few arrows, he raved about the practicality of the shoulder straps.

I smiled and took out a few bottles of potions from my system space, handing John and George each a bottle of the remaining "Lesser Healing Potion." They took the potions, and a hint of gratitude flashed in their eyes.

"Keep them for yourselves; they can save your lives at critical moments," I instructed.

Then, I kept one bottle of "Healing Potion" for myself and gave the remaining two bottles of "Lesser Healing Potion" and two new bottles of "Healing Potion," along with the newly purchased "potion box," to Randall.

"Randall, these are yours. Equip them to your waist now." I handed him the potion box and potions.

Randall tried to decline. He frowned and said, "This... this is too valuable, Ryan. You should keep them for yourself."

I shook my head and looked at him firmly: "This is an order. When you are safe, our entire team is safe. You don't need to worry about me."

Hearing me say this, Randall had no choice but to accept the potion box and potions, silently hanging them on his belt.

With everyone armed and in high spirits, we led the caravan back on our journey.

The afternoon journey was relatively calm; we didn't encounter any troublesome bandits. Only two wild wolves ignorantly wandered into the middle of the road.

However, for us, this was just a piece of cake.

John and George quickly drew their bows and fired arrows. After several misses, the arrows still pierced the wolves' bodies, and the two wolves fell.

As night fell, we found a relatively open area to set up our camp.

Two bonfires burned brightly, illuminating the surrounding night.

Randall took this opportunity to teach me, John, and George the essentials of archery in turns. He patiently corrected our postures and explained the breathing and aiming techniques for shooting arrows.

Afterward, we practiced close combat.

Randall, a Level 7 Holy Knight, faced our three-person siege with ease, fighting three against one.

His swordsmanship was exquisite; each swing of his sword carried a fierce wind, putting immense pressure on the three of us.

Although we tried our best, we still couldn't break through his defense.

This made me realize that there was still a chasm-like gap between me, a Level 3 Hunter and Level 1 Mage, and Randall.

After practicing martial arts, I hid in my tent and began to study languages with Sphere Professor.

Late at night, I was still researching magic.

I took out the blank scroll paper, a bottle of magic ink, and a magic pen I had purchased today and began to try copying the zero-level cantrip: Create Bonfire onto the paper scroll.

The feel of the paper was slightly different. After several failures, I succeeded on the fifth attempt to copy "Create Bonfire."

The next morning, it was snowing heavily again.

Our caravan had not traveled far when we met a large caravan coming from the south.
