197: Chapter 197 The Deep-Sea Hunter Unleashed, Mitsui's Greedy Sense of Smell

Hearing Lu Chen's words, "Go teach them how to issue a bounty," the muscles at the corners of Da Biao's mouth twitched, revealing two rows of ghastly white teeth.

He turned around, without any nonsense, and strode toward the neatly arrayed phalanx of two thousand heavily armed Death Squad Soldiers.

Da Biao roared in his hoarse voice, "Group One, Group Two. The top fifty individuals with the best stats. Step forward."

Clang.

Fifty sturdy men simultaneously stepped forward with their left legs, their heavy all-titanium Exoskeletons stomping into the puddles, creating a massive echo. Their movements were as uniform as gears cut from the same machine.

Da Biao's fierce gaze swept over these fifty people.

"Strip off all the iron shells on your bodies. Change into casual clothes. Take waterproof backpacks. Get on the vehicles in five minutes."

The fifty Death Squad Soldiers didn't ask where they were going, nor did they ask who they were going to kill; they simply raised their hands, pressed the buckles, and crisply and cleanly removed the half-ton Exoskeleton armor.

Lone Wolf stood not far away, staring fixedly at these fifty men who had shed their armor. Their gazes were too cold, like a group of machines without any sense of pain.

Lone Wolf felt a shiver run down his spine. Once this group of living Yamas was released, the financial district on the other side of the ocean would definitely be skinned alive.

Lu Chen snuffed out the cigarette butt in his hand and turned to walk back to the office building.

The screens in the second-floor control room were blindingly bright. Wu Dong was typing on the keyboard, sweating profusely, as he worked to lock onto the source IP address of the bounty order issued by Steven.

Lu Chen pulled over a worn-out swivel chair and sat down, grabbing the all-black, nuclear submarine military-grade physically encrypted communicator from the table.

Da Biao pushed the door open and strode in.

Lu Chen threw the communicator directly to him.

Da Biao caught it steadily and shoved it into his pocket.

"That guy named Steven, and the living people on the board of directors behind him who posted the bounty, take them out one by one." Lu Chen picked up a clean plastic cup and poured some plain water. "Not a single one can be left alive. Can you do it?"

"Don't worry, Boss." Da Biao grinned. "All fifty sets of the new model armor will be dismantled into parts and sent over via the special cargo channel of the ocean shipping line. Our fifty people will board the ship from the Deepwater Port. Once we reach the high seas, we will board the submarine and dive. The other side won't even see a splash."

Rapid footsteps came from outside the door. Old Zhou rushed in carrying two huge black canvas bags.

Old Zhou unzipped them. Inside, they were filled with old-version US dollars, tightly wrapped in kraft paper.

Old Zhou grabbed two bundles of cash and stuffed them directly into Da Biao's arms.

"The Boss ordered it. Travel with plenty of money." Old Zhou glared. "When you get to the other side, buying paths and gathering intelligence all require real gold and silver to pave the way. Spend it freely. If it's not enough, ask me for more."

Da Biao weighed the US dollars in his hand and put them into his waterproof backpack.

"We don't need that much. We are going to hold their funeral. No need to chip in for gifts." Da Biao patted Old Zhou on the shoulder.

Da Biao put on his tactical baseball cap and turned to rush out of the control room.

Lu Chen watched the two buses driving out of the gate on the surveillance screen.

Lu Chen turned his head to look at Wu Dong. "Use the Sky Eye satellite to keep a constant watch on Manhattan. As soon as our signal connects, immediately cut off all urban surveillance systems in the surrounding three blocks."

Wu Dong nodded heavily. "Understood. Do we need to notify the brothers at the ocean shipping line to provide support?"

Lu Chen shook his head. "Da Biao will handle it himself. Take care of things at home. Starting today, this eight-thousand-acre territory is completely locked down."

The next morning.

Jiangcheng International Airport VIP passage.

A private business jet with the Sakura Country flag printed on it slowly came to a stop. The cabin door opened.

The top semiconductor and high-precision machine tool giant of Sakura Country, Mitsui Heavy Industries Asia-Pacific President Watanabe Ichiro, walked out. He was wearing an exquisite high-end custom suit, his eyes arrogant.

Behind him followed a dozen or so entourage members carrying black briefcases.

Watanabe Ichiro took out his latest smartphone. On the screen was the 30 billion USD global bounty order issued by Steven on the dark web. Next to it was a photo of Lu Chen.

Watanabe Ichiro sneered and casually threw the phone to his chief assistant, Tanaka, who was standing nearby.

Tanaka caught the phone with both hands and quickly followed in Watanabe's footsteps.

Tanaka lowered his voice. "President Watanabe, this Lu Chen is now a thorn in the side of global financial conglomerates. Freemasons have even put out a secret bounty. He won't live for many more days."

Watanabe Ichiro sat in the back seat of a black Maybach that had been waiting outside the passage.

Watanabe Ichiro tugged at his silk tie. "There is an old Chinese saying about looting a burning house. This kid is currently surrounded on all sides and must be in a terrible state. If we intervene now, we can break his marrow."

The motorcade started and drove away from the airport.

Tanaka opened the top-secret file report in his hand. "President, according to information from our secret line in the East China General Chamber of Commerce, Lu Chen just obtained 100,000 tons of high-purity special titanium alloy yesterday. Furthermore, the levitation test for that anti-gravity chassis has already been successful inside their factory."

Watanabe Ichiro exhaled a puff of cigar smoke, his eyes becoming extremely greedy.

"100,000 tons. He has quite an appetite. The smelting formula for titanium alloy has always been stuck in our hands and those of Europe and America. If he can successfully smelt it directly, he definitely holds terrifyingly advanced data."

Tanaka nodded along. "The technology for that chassis is at least thirty years ahead of the current technological level. How are we going to get our hands on it?"

Watanabe Ichiro flicked the cigar ash.

"It's very simple. Strangle him." Watanabe Ichiro said coldly. "Over seventy percent of the high-end manufacturing around Jiangcheng uses our Mitsui Heavy Industries precision five-axis machine tools. The core spindle bearings are all stuck in our hands. Send out a notice immediately. Cut off the supply of bearing parts across the board."

Tanaka's eyes lit up. "Great move. Without our bearings, his assembly line will completely collapse within three days. It will turn into a pile of scrap metal."

Watanabe Ichiro leaned back on the leather seat. "Lu Chen has offended Freemasons now, and there is no way for him to survive anywhere in the world. Us taking over his technology is giving him a way out. As long as the production line stops, he will have to kneel and beg me to accept those formulas. This is called the rules."

The motorcade consisting of four black Maybachs rampaged through the wide streets of Jiangcheng.

A red light turned on at the intersection ahead. Two traffic police officers rode motorcycles, sounding their sirens in an attempt to intercept them.

The Maybach driver glanced at the rearview mirror. "President, there are traffic police blocking the car."

"Ignore them. Drive straight through. We have foreign guest immunity; they wouldn't dare arrest anyone." Watanabe Ichiro waved his hand impatiently.

The Maybach suddenly accelerated, the engine roared, and it whistled past the traffic police's motorcycles.

The motorcade headed straight for the eight-thousand-acre high-tech zone in the north of the city.

In the middle of the road, three kilometers away from the gate of Chenguang Factory, a scene that was extremely jarring suddenly appeared.

On the originally flat asphalt road, a barbed steel barricade over ten meters long had been forcibly erected.

Two dark green military anti-riot armored vehicles were positioned horizontally in the middle of the road, one on the left and one on the right.

Dozens of fully armed soldiers held automatic rifles, their eyes as cold as ice, staring fixedly at the black motorcade speeding toward them.

Lone Wolf was wearing a training uniform, standing right in the center of the steel barricade. He had an unlit cigarette in his mouth, his arms crossed over his chest.

The Maybach driver was scared into a cold sweat and slammed on the brakes.

The tires screeched harshly against the ground.

The lead car stopped just barely less than three meters away from the steel barricade.

Tanaka was sitting in the passenger seat, choked by his seatbelt and unable to breathe. He angrily rolled down the window, leaned half his body out, and cursed loudly.

"Baka! Are you blind? This is the private car of President Watanabe of Mitsui Heavy Industries. Clear the road immediately."

Lone Wolf didn't even lift an eyelid. He waved his hand lightly.

Click, click.

Two soldiers, one meter ninety tall and holding guns, walked directly forward. Their heavy tactical military boots stepped onto the hood of the Maybach, and the cold gun barrels pointed directly through the windshield at Tanaka's head.

Tanaka screamed in terror, immediately pulled his head back into the car, and looked back in fear at Watanabe Ichiro in the back seat.

Watanabe Ichiro's face was extremely gloomy. He pushed open the car door, straightened his suit jacket, and strode out of the car.

Watanabe Ichiro walked to the barricade and looked straight into Lone Wolf's eyes.

"I am the Asia-Pacific President of Mitsui Heavy Industries, Watanabe Ichiro. I want to see Lu Chen. Move these pieces of scrap metal away immediately." Watanabe Ichiro pointed at the armored vehicles. "This concerns the rice bowls of hundreds of thousands of workers in your Jiangcheng. If you delay Mitsui Heavy Industries' business, you, a mere soldier, cannot bear this responsibility."

Lone Wolf spat the cigarette in his mouth onto the ground.

He stepped forward and drew the 9mm standard-issue pistol from his waist.

The muzzle pressed directly against the collar of Watanabe Ichiro's expensive custom suit.

Lone Wolf stared into Watanabe's eyes. "I don't understand any bullshit business. I only understand orders. The Boss has given the word: today, in this place, even if a breathing fly flies in, it has to lose a layer of skin. Get lost."

Watanabe Ichiro's eye twitched. In all his life, he had never suffered such humiliation in China.

"What did you say?" Watanabe Ichiro's voice rose by eight octaves. "You are inciting an international commercial dispute. I will have your superiors skin you alive."

Tanaka ran out of the car and reached out to push Lone Wolf's shoulder. "Move aside."

Bang.

Lone Wolf raised a foot and kicked Tanaka hard in the abdomen.

Tanaka flew like a broken kite, flying horizontally for four or five meters in mid-air, and slammed heavily into a puddle, spitting out a mouthful of sour water mixed with blood.

Lone Wolf looked at the shocked Watanabe Ichiro and used his thumb to pull back the safety hammer of his pistol.

"I'll count to three. If you don't reverse, I will execute all of you on the spot for espionage." Lone Wolf held up one finger, his voice cold.

"One."
