294: Chapter 294 Kinetic Energy Extinction, Toothpick Piercing Iron Plate

Boom.

Twelve streams of pure physical kinetic energy at Mach 20 slammed at point-blank range into the chassis of the three-million-ton Aerospace Carrier, which was covered in an Extreme Pressure Soft Gold shell.

Two thousand meters high in the sky, sonic boom clouds exploded outward, and the clouds within a radius of over a dozen kilometers were vaporized by the high heat.

No disintegration. No mushroom cloud.

Only a deafening metallic collision echoed over Jiangcheng.

At the bottom of Base Pit No. 1, the senior colonel craned his neck, his eyes wide open. A drop of cold sweat dripped down his chin.

The black shadow in mid-air hovered steadily.

"Holy crap..." The senior colonel swallowed a mouthful of bloody saliva.

"It blocked it?" The Death Squad Soldier beside him rubbed his eyes vigorously.

"It didn't penetrate! Not even a mark was left!" The soldiers behind them waved their fists.

Underground command center.

Dead silence.

Wei Jianguo gripped the edge of the console tightly, his eyes fixed on the real-time footage transmitted back by the high-speed camera.

"How much did it descend?" He turned his head and roared at Wu Dong.

Wu Dong slammed his hands onto the keyboard, his voice cracking. "It descended forty-five point three centimeters! The anti-gravity engine is intact! The magnetofluid overload module is running stably! Boss, the chassis held up!"

Lu Chen sat in a swivel chair, leaning against the backrest. He took out a lighter and lit a double happiness cigarette.

The firelight illuminated his calm, expressionless face.

"Zoom in with the optical lens. Let's see those pieces of scrap metal." Lu Chen exhaled a cloud of blue smoke.

Wu Dong pressed Enter. The image on the big screen instantly zoomed in a hundredfold.

The twelve solid, high-density tungsten rods, which originally carried world-destroying kinetic energy, had their front ends flattened. Under the massive kinetic backlash, these metal cylinders had curled into twisted shapes from head to tail. They had completely lost their kinetic energy and were sliding down the slanted edge of the chassis shell.

It was like a dozen toothpicks poking at a solid steel plate.

"Is this Extreme Pressure Soft Gold really that insane?" Old Zhou wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. "Twenty Mach physical kinetic energy, and it didn't even scrape off a bit of the base paint?"

Lu Chen flicked the cigarette ash. "Extreme Pressure Soft Gold is a material that increases in density as pressure increases. Them using this stuff to smash it is basically a gift."

Ten thousand miles high. Inside the prisoner transport cabin.

Da Biao sat on a wide alloy chair, crossing his legs.

Michael was tied to a steel pillar opposite. Just a moment ago, this old guy was still screaming crazily.

"You're all going to die! The entire Jiangcheng will be smashed into a basin! Just watch, this is the consequence of angering the United States!" Michael's eyes were bloodshot, and his facial muscles were twisted.

Da Biao couldn't be bothered to pay attention to him. He held up a military data tablet with one hand, and the holographic screen projected the moment of the impact over Jiangcheng.

The impact was over. The chassis was unscathed. The tungsten rods were curled into twists.

Da Biao scratched his shiny bald head. He shoved the holographic screen directly into Michael's old face.

"Foreigner, look clearly." Da Biao spoke up. "Is this space-based weapon you were talking about expired? It's not working."

The manic laughter on Michael's face froze.

He stared fixedly at the holographic screen. His eyeballs bulged, and the blood vessels were almost ready to burst.

"Impossible... This is absolutely impossible!" Michael shook his head frantically, his body struggling desperately, the handcuffs clanking loudly. "Those are twelve pure mass tungsten rods! Mach 20! They can smash through any armor in the world! Whether it's titanium alloy or tungsten steel, they must be pulverized when encountering this kind of kinetic energy!"

Michael's voice was hoarse and desperate. "You violated the laws of physics! This doesn't make sense!"

"To hell with your laws of physics." Da Biao backhanded Michael across the back of the head, hitting him until his mouth was full of blood. "Shut your bird beak. With the Boss, the Boss is the rule. Bringing out your trash to embarrass yourself."

Michael stared at the screen. His faith had completely collapsed. The trump card he had spent decades setting up hadn't even scratched a piece of the opponent's iron plating.

The huge psychological gap combined with intense panic. A meaningless rattling sound came from Michael's throat, his eyes rolled back, he foamed at the mouth, and he passed out directly.

"He pissed himself already?" Da Biao kicked him in disgust and pressed the communicator by his ear. "Boss, this old guy passed out."

"Bring him back and hang him in the Base Pit No. 1 radiation mine. Let him move bricks with those former ministers." Lu Chen's voice came from the channel, devoid of emotion.

Jiangcheng command center.

Lu Chen looked at the curled tungsten rods sliding down on the screen and tapped his fingers on the table.

"Old Wei. Don't just watch." Lu Chen ordered. "Activate the high-temperature magnetization focusing array on the edge of the chassis."

Wei Jianguo was stunned. "Boss, why turn that on?"

"Twelve solid, high-density tungsten rods, dozens of tons of out-of-print good iron. Who's going to pay for it if we let them get away?" Lu Chen pressed the cigarette butt into the ashtray. "Attract them. Melt them right on the surface of the chassis for me, and use them as free welding rods."

Wei Jianguo's eyes lit up, and he slapped his thigh. "Understood! This purity of tungsten steel is absolutely perfect for making the shell seams of the Great Wall Dome base! I'll adjust the power right now!"

The command center issued the order. The high-temperature magnetization array on the edge of the chassis, two thousand meters high in the sky, lit up with a blinding red light. Those scrap tungsten rods that had just slid to the edge were firmly adsorbed to the bottom of the chassis by an invisible, terrifying magnetic force. The ultra-high temperature instantly baked them red-hot, gradually melting them into molten iron.

Old Zhou leaned over to Lu Chen and swallowed. "Boss. This wave of space-based weapons didn't work. The foreigners over there are probably going to be furious."

"Furious? I haven't even gotten angry yet." Lu Chen's eyes turned cold. "Wu Dong. Cut a signal and connect to the cabinet command centers of the Western countries. They must have all been watching the broadcast just now. I'll add a show for them."

Wu Dong's fingers flew. "Connecting immediately. There's no password; I'm forcibly overriding their broadcast feed through the public channel."

The giant screen in the center of the command center instantly split into a dozen small grids.

In each grid, there were expressions of shock, pallor, and ghostly terror from the high-level officials of the Western countries.

In The Pentagon press center, the defense expert who had sworn that Jiangcheng would be razed to the ground was now so scared that he had crawled under the table.

Lu Chen leaned back in his chair, too lazy to even stand up.

"Are you all satisfied with the fireworks just now?" Lu Chen's voice traveled along the line and slammed directly into a dozen of the highest-level conference rooms around the world.

Dead silence. In the dozen conference rooms, not a single person dared to answer.

Lu Chen didn't care, his gaze sweeping over those trembling faces.

"I've always believed in reciprocity when doing business. You sent me twelve big tungsten steel iron rods, and I've accepted them." Lu Chen's tone was calm. "However, for home delivery, I charge a service fee."

On the screen, a Western leader bit the bullet and stood up. "Lu Chen. What do you want? The space-based weapons are exhausted. Our joint fleet is also broken. Let's each take a step back. You release Michael and the inspection team. We will immediately restore your ocean shipping routes."

"Take a step back?" Lu Chen laughed. "Are you worthy?"

The leader's face instantly turned red, the veins on his forehead bulging, but he forcibly swallowed the curses back into his stomach.

Lu Chen tapped his fingers lightly on the table. "I'll give you three days. Each of you must scrape together one thousand tons of the highest-grade aerospace special rare earth. Pack it up and send it to Jiangcheng Deepwater Port."

Lu Chen's eyes turned sharp. "If there is one gram less, I will let this three-million-ton chassis hover over each of your capitals for one day."

"One thousand tons!" Several national leaders exclaimed on the spot. "This is impossible! This is absolutely impossible! Our combined strategic reserves in the national treasury don't even add up to that much!"

"That is something you should worry about." Lu Chen was merciless. "The time starts from now. If you don't manage to scrape it together, figure it out yourselves. Disconnect."

Wu Dong slammed the Enter key with a snap. All video windows instantly went black.

Old Zhou wiped cold sweat from the side. "Boss. To get that much rare earth, even if they scrape the ground three layers deep, they might not be able to get it."

"It was never rare earth that I wanted." Lu Chen picked up the tea mug next to him and took a big sip of strong tea.

"Then what do you want?" Old Zhou looked puzzled.

"I want them to fight each other like dogs internally." Lu Chen put down the tea mug, his eyes deep. "In order to scrape together the share to save their lives, these fourteen countries will definitely go and rob those small countries without strength, or even scheme against each other. By muddying the waters outside, I can then extricate myself to do another thing."

Wei Jianguo leaned over, his hands full of machine oil. "Boss. What could be more urgent than building the Great Wall Dome base?"

Lu Chen didn't answer, but turned to look at Wu Dong. "What is the situation with those 300,000 falling nuclear bombs on the far side of the moon?"

Wu Dong's expression changed instantly upon hearing this. He immediately pulled up the latest scanned images intercepted by the deep space radar.

"Boss. Big trouble." Wu Dong's throat went dry. "The detector shows that the 300,000 high-energy red dots on the far side of the moon are inexplicably accelerating their descent."

The atmosphere in the command center suddenly became heavy.

Wei Jianguo asked urgently. "How much did it accelerate?"

Wu Dong stared fixedly at the calculation data on the screen. "Originally expected to take two years. Now, according to the simulation, it has been directly shortened to half a year."

"Half a year!" Wei Jianguo shouted, his face turning pale. "The Great Wall Dome base will take at least a year to fully deploy the energy grid. Half a year is simply not enough for us to establish a defense line."

Old Zhou paced around anxiously. "What should we do? This isn't twelve tungsten rods; these are 300,000 nuclear bombs! If they all fall, Earth will be completely cooked."

Lu Chen looked at the screen, his fingers tapping a dull rhythm on the table.

"If there's not enough time, then go borrow some." Lu Chen spoke, his tone calm.

"Borrow from whom?" Old Zhou asked urgently.

Lu Chen looked at Wu Dong. "Last time at the Antarctic base, you found a final warning in the brainwave waste of the First Elder. Tell me about it."

Wu Dong shivered and immediately searched for the data, blurting it out. "Yes. He said, they didn't come to Earth to observe; they came to clean up, and the next one... is you."

"Go check if the Freemasons have left any other spatial quantum relay stations on Earth." Lu Chen stood up, his eyes showing a resolute ruthlessness.

"If they can send signals out, there must be a receiving end. I can't wait half a year for them to slowly fall."

Lu Chen grabbed the pack of double happiness on the table, pulled one out, and bit it in his mouth.

"I'm going to take this chassis and go to the far side of the moon to take a look." Lu Chen's voice was not loud.

The entire command center was silent. Wei Jianguo's jaw almost hit the floor. Old Zhou gasped, completely stunned.

No one expected that in the face of the doomsday countdown, the Boss didn't think about how to defend at all, but instead planned to go directly to the opponent's lair.
