50: Chapter 50 Since you want to watch the show, then dismantle the stage.

Outside the main hall of the City International Expo Center.

A red carpet several hundred meters long stretched from the street corner all the way to the main entrance.

The sides were lined with top-tier luxury cars like Maybachs and Rolls-Royces.

Hundreds of security personnel set up double-layered security cordons.

Dozens of top overseas tech media outlets and mainstream domestic media were crowded on both sides of the red carpet, their camera flashes forming a continuous curtain of white light.

Wang Teng, wearing a high-end custom suit worth one hundred thousand yuan, walked down the center of the red carpet, his face glowing with radiance.

Walking beside him was a tall Caucasian man. David, the Vice President of the Morgan Consortium for the Asia-Pacific region.

David glanced at the media frantically clicking their shutters and spoke in a low voice, "Wang, the turnout is decent. Why are the lights off in Hall 2 across the way?"

Wang Teng sneered, his tone filled with irrepressible smugness. "Mr. David, that shabby workshop called Chenguang Electronics just claimed a few days ago that they would set up a booth in Hall 2. Now that the supply of yttrium star stone has been cut off for ten full days, they can't even run a single production line. What are they going to use to set up a booth? Bring a bunch of workers over to beg for food?"

David adjusted his suit cuffs. "The President is watching the live stream from New York. Today, we must build the momentum to the maximum. We want all of Asia to know the consequences of defying Morgan."

Wang Teng nodded repeatedly. "Rest assured, today's trending topics on all major platforms are all ours."

Several reporters from domestic financial channels shoved their microphones, which bore their station logos, forward, pushing hard to get closer. "Mr. Wang! We heard that Tengfei Electronics has acquired top-tier multinational graphene fast-charging technology. May I ask what price range it will be in?"

Wang Teng adjusted his tie in front of the camera, putting on an expression of compassion. "Truth always rests in the hands of those with substance. Our fast-charging batteries will launch with one hundred thousand units in stock; the specific price will be revealed at the press conference. This is true technology benefiting humanity, not just relying on rumors to swindle money."

Another bespectacled internet celebrity reporter pressed on. "Then, what is your take on Chenguang Electronics Factory claiming they would use Solid-state battery to perform a dimensional reduction strike, and they even sent out invitations saying they would compete today?"

Wang Teng sighed pretentiously and shook his head. "Young people don't know the immensity of heaven and earth. Relying on a few junior college students to tinker around in a dilapidated factory, they dare to claim they are leading the world? As far as I know, their production lines have completely paralyzed."

David added in broken Chinese from the side. "There is an old Chinese saying: a clown jumping on a beam. Today, everyone will only see the true industrial miracle brought by Morgan."

By this time, on all major social media platforms, internet trolls were already flooding the screens. "The 'miracle factory' has finally become a joke; junior college students making batteries is pure fraud!" "The tenth day of the supply cut, Chenguang Electronics' production lines have completely flatlined!"

Various pessimistic comments were overwhelming. Netizens who didn't know the truth were swept up by the momentum and joined in the cursing. "So the live stream from a few days ago was just the final flash of life." "I told you so, with a technology barrier worth billions, how could a bankrupt factory break through?" "I feel sorry for those car companies that paid deposits; get ready to line up on the rooftop."

In the suburbs of Jiangcheng, at Chenguang Electronics Factory.

It was completely different from the foul atmosphere on the internet outside. On the factory's massive playground, dozens of heavy-duty trucks were lined up. The cargo beds of each truck were covered tightly with thick, black waterproof tarpaulins.

Dozens of truck engines emitted a low roar simultaneously, shaking the ground. Lu Chen, wearing his usual old black jacket, stood beside the lead heavy truck. Chen Hao led over two hundred junior college students, all wearing anti-static suits, standing on the left. Da Biao led a full complement of one hundred and fifty retired security team members, all wearing uniform black combat gear, standing on the right.

Old Zhou, with a walkie-talkie tucked into his waist, ran over, panting. "Mr. Lu, Wu Dong has finished the setup at Hall 2. He just called and said that Hall 1 is currently filled with luxury cars and beautiful women, and they are setting off ceremonial cannons. Our Hall 2 just has fifty long tables set up, covered with red cloth; it looks like a place selling health supplements at a village entrance. Are we really not going to get some lighting and sound equipment?"

Old Zhou watched Lu Chen's expression. Lu Chen threw the cigarette butt in his hand to the ground and crushed it. "What kind of lighting and sound equipment? Do you need to watch a dance show when you go to the vegetable market to buy cabbage?"

Lu Chen held out his hand to Old Zhou. "Give me the walkie-talkie." Old Zhou quickly handed it over. Lu Chen pressed the talk button. "Wu Dong, listen, print out some prices on A4 paper and stick them on the tables. Don't worry about anything else; your only job today is to keep your head down and collect the money."

Wu Dong sighed on the other end of the line, his voice trembling. "Mr. Lu, that's Morgan on the other side. Won't our setup be too shabby..." "Enough nonsense, wait for me to bring the people over to you." Lu Chen cut off the walkie-talkie and threw it back to Old Zhou.

The playground was silent. Everyone stared intently at Lu Chen. Lu Chen had his hands in his pockets, his gaze sweeping over these young faces. "Outside, there are people saying we've stopped production, saying that we junior college students are trash who can't make batteries. There are people saying that the cash I, Lu Chen, had has run out, and I'm ready to run away."

Chen Hao's eyes were red, his chest heaving violently. "Mr. Lu!" Chen Hao rushed forward a step, shouting at the top of his lungs. "Stop holding me back! The fifty thousand units of stock are all loaded! Just say the word, and our hundreds of worthless lives will drive over right now to bulldoze that shabby Hall 1 venue! We'll shove the batteries right down their throats!"

Da Biao raised the rubber baton in his hand from the side. "Brother Lu! The brothers are just waiting for your word! We've got our gear ready!"

Lu Chen looked at them expressionlessly. "Have you grown more capable in these past few days? Always talking about bulldozing venues; do you think you're some big-time gangsters?"

Chen Hao gritted his teeth, veins popping on his neck. Lu Chen stepped forward and patted the giant tire of the heavy truck. "Today, the Morgan Consortium and Wang Teng not only want to package themselves as gods, but they also want to trample our Chenguang Electronics into the mud in front of everyone."

Lu Chen turned around abruptly, his eyes terrifyingly cold. "Since they like to put on a show, we will use the most dignified way to give them the hardest slap in the face."

Lu Chen pointed at Chen Hao. "You take the technical team, all of you stay in the factory, and keep a close eye on the backend servers. Open the global purchasing channel to the maximum for me. If the server lags for even a single second today, tomorrow you can pack your bags and go clean the toilets."

Chen Hao immediately straightened his back and replied loudly. "Understood! We'll fight to the end; the server will absolutely not crash!"

Lu Chen turned to walk towards Da Biao. "As for slapping their faces, we don't need so many people."

Lu Chen bypassed the heavy truck convoy and walked towards an old car shed in the furthest corner of the factory. Da Biao and Old Zhou hurriedly followed. Under the shed was a waterproof tarpaulin covered in oil stains and dust. Lu Chen reached out and tore off the tarpaulin.

A rusted, paint-peeling car with a heavily dented front bumper was revealed. The body of the car still had the old advertisement for "Jiangcheng Pipe Cleaning" printed on it.

Old Zhou looked at this car, his eyes nearly popping out. "Mr. Lu! You're going to the Expo Center, a place for top-tier socialites; you should at least drive that Audi from the factory, right? If you drive a beat-up car over there, even the security guards at the gate won't let you in!"

Lu Chen patted the rusted hood, which emitted a dull, tinny sound. "Wang Teng has foreign tycoons backing him and a fifty-million-yuan red carpet; we're going there to crash the party, what's the point of driving an Audi?"

Lu Chen turned to look at Da Biao. "Da Biao, go get a set of those 'bricks' from the latest batch cut from our underground lab and install it. Today, I'm personally going to take it for a spin at that vanity fair!"

Da Biao grinned, his face trembling with fat. "On it!" Da Biao took out his walkie-talkie and shouted a couple of times.

In less than five minutes, Big Mouth Liu and a few technicians came running over carrying a black metal box. The box opened, and inside was a super Solid-state battery module that had just come off the fully automated packaging line. It looked dull and gray, without any fancy coating, looking truly like a solid concrete brick.

Chen Hao scrambled over and crawled directly under the car. He picked up an electric wrench and, in a few quick movements, forcefully removed the original old fuel tank, mounting this battery module directly onto the chassis. Two thick, insulated cables were brutally connected to the old electronic control system.

Chen Hao slid out from under the car, wiping his grease-covered hands on his pant legs. "Brother Lu! Done! With this module installed, this beat-up car can now reach a maximum range of twenty-five hundred kilometers without stopping. As long as you floor the gas pedal, you can overtake those million-dollar sports cars outside like they're tricycles!"

Lu Chen pulled open the creaking, thin iron car door. He bent down and sat in the driver's seat. The sponge from the worn-out seat was exposed, and the steering wheel was wrapped in black electrical tape.

Old Zhou leaned against the car window, sweating with anxiety. "Mr. Lu, your flight to take twenty people to the Great Northwest for mining is tomorrow. With such a big commotion tonight, what if the foreign capital gets desperate and plays dirty..."

Lu Chen rolled the car window all the way down. "What's there to be afraid of? If a vicious dog bites, just beat it to death."

Lu Chen turned the rusted car key in the ignition. There was no roar of a fuel engine. There was no black smoke from the exhaust pipe. The motor emitted a terrifying, extremely low hum, as if it could tear the air apart at any moment. The old needle on the dashboard instantly snapped to the end, the full charge display stuck firmly in place.

Da Biao pulled open the car door and jumped into the passenger seat, casually picking up a sixty-centimeter-long solid steel pipe and tossing it onto the floor mat. "Brother Lu, where to?" Da Biao stared intently ahead.

Lu Chen slammed it into drive. "Tell the heavy truck convoy behind to start their engines; we'll lead the way for them."
