328: The sixth and seventh fragments
Han Huohuo pointed at North Sea City and laughed, “Don’t you recognize our Atlantis city anymore? This is the city I built with my own hands. If I wasn’t an Atlantis descendant, how could I build such a city?”
There was reason in his words.
Instantly, the scene fell silent. All the Octopus Monsters stopped making noise, looking around nervously, unable to hide their panic.
Han Huohuo found it strange; it seemed these sea monsters were a bit sensitive about the term “Atlantis people.”
Old Turtle stammered for a long time before finally sighing, “Since you are an Atlantis descendant, I won’t argue with you. I have a deep connection with Atlantis. Speaking of which, your Atlantis was also one of the initiators of the Ocean Council. Since you’ve returned, how about rejoining the Ocean Council?”
“Ah?”
Han Huohuo never expected that not only would they stop fighting, but he would also receive an invitation.
“My ancestors never mentioned it. I didn’t know such a thing existed?”
Han Huohuo was a bit bewildered and casually brushed him off.
Unexpectedly, Old Turtle felt relieved upon hearing Han Huohuo’s words, thinking, “This young man is young and doesn’t know that the Ocean Council was originally established by the Atlantis people. We sea monsters were originally their pets. Who would have thought the master would return? It’s too surprising and too awkward.”
And Old Turtle himself was a pet raised by the Atlantis leader back then, and he had complex feelings towards Atlantis.
“How about this: we’ll investigate those resources later to see who took them, and whoever did will hand them over. Now, I’ll have Octopus Leader return the treasures to you, and you also contribute some resources so he can repair his tribe that you smashed, and from now on, don’t be hostile towards them again, how about that?”
Octopus Leader panicked. That was his treasure trove accumulated over a thousand years; how could it just disappear? This Old Turtle clearly favored Han Huohuo.
“Council Head?”
“What? You’re not listening to me anymore? Have your wings hardened? Or should I have everyone retreat, and you go have a good talk with North Sea Lord yourself?”
Octopus Leader’s face was ugly, but he dared not contradict Old Turtle.
These Undersea Monster were not like humans; their minds were still simple. If they lost, they lost, and it didn’t matter if they didn’t fight anymore. They valued immediate benefits more.
The Abyss Tribe suffered heavy casualties, and he dared not let it fight Han Huohuo independently.
Octopus Leader remained silent, which was an implicit agreement.
Han Huohuo calculated and felt it was acceptable. It was important to get his shards back quickly to avoid prolonged complications, even if he had to give a little more resources. Anyway, they were snatched from him, so it was just returning a tiny bit.
After a brief discussion of the details, both sides ceased hostilities.
Han Huohuo finally retrieved the sixth time-space shard.
Han Huohuo gave Octopus Leader some resources so he could go back and repair his home, and to show friendliness, he even sent back the captured Octopus Monsters.
Octopus Leader returned to his tribe, remembering his thousand years of accumulation vanishing overnight, turning him into a beggar. He immediately knelt at the entrance, weeping bitterly.
Han Huohuo came to deliver resources and felt genuinely pained. He thought to himself that he was originally a kind person and shouldn't be so inconsiderate. Seeing Octopus Leader crying so miserably, he couldn't help but give him an additional five hundred food.
Unexpectedly, Octopus Leader cried even louder, commanding the Octopus to repair their home while shedding tears.
It was too tragic. Han Huohuo, being a soft-hearted deity, couldn't bear to watch and quickly left with Hou Yi and Thor. As the saying goes, out of sight, out of mind.
Hou Yi and Thor followed behind Han Huohuo, cupping their hands in admiration, “Lord is righteous!”
With the sixth shard obtained, Han Huohuo’s heart surged. There was only one last shard left to complete all of them. The time-space power of one time-space shard was already so terrifying; it was hard to imagine how powerful it would be if all seven time-space shards were gathered. It could change the order of time-space and even recast time-space.
But where was the seventh shard exactly?
Han Huohuo had an even deeper concern: the Seamstress had not hindered him at all in collecting the time-space shards. Did he not care about the time-space shards?
He just felt that something wasn't quite right.
Just then.
In a peculiar time-space, there was an ancient spaceship that had been drifting in this desolate time-space for an unknown period, utterly silent.
In the spaceship’s cockpit, a skeleton sat in front of the control panel, looking as if it had been dead for many years, motionless. Only its clothes, made of an unknown material with patches, had not decayed.
On the computer in the control room, a line of text appeared.
“He has already obtained six shards!”
“…..”
The skeleton was dead; it made no movement, but before its eyes, the seventh time-space shard lay quietly on the control panel.
The skeleton was at peace. It knew one thing: Han Huohuo would probably never get the seventh shard because the seventh shard was with him.
It was because of this shard that he died yet did not die, transforming into a peculiar state where life and death overlapped, becoming the universe's unique skeleton with intertwined life and death. Its phantom could penetrate time-space and reach that strange core planet.
Everything in this world was too strange.
“I am not an ambitious person; I just want to live. Is that wrong?” The skeleton remained motionless, quietly pondering. It dared not move, fearing that a slight movement would cause it to leave its state of intertwined life and death and become a decaying speck of dust in history.
“Who could be more miserable than me!”
The Seamstress wanted to cry, but had no tears.
Back in North Sea, Mu Jiu was waiting for Han Huohuo.
“Huohuo, this time we’ve gained tens of billions in resources. What do you say, should we upgrade all our cities, or focus on building Tongtian City to the silver age?”
Han Huohuo was startled, “Resources are enough to upgrade to the silver age?”
Mu Jiu nodded, “That’s right, which is why I didn’t dare use the resources. I waited for you to come back and make the decision.”
Han Huohuo hugged Mu Jiu and kissed her, smiling, “You truly are a clever little girl. Of course, we should upgrade to the silver age first.”
“Mhm, I guessed you’d choose that. All the resources are saved.”
Several heroes returned to Tongtian City together. Han Huohuo placed great importance on city upgrades because each major level upgrade brought significant changes.
Already at Bronze Level 5, Han Huohuo upgraded Tongtian City directly to Bronze Level 9 in one go.
It was now possible to upgrade to the silver age.
【To upgrade to the silver age, you need 100 million wood, 50 million stone, 10 million iron ingots, 10,000 abyss crystals, 10,000 radiant gems, 10,000 fire sea sulfur, and 10,000 ice field mercury. Your resources are sufficient. Do you wish to upgrade?】
“Upgrade!”
As Han Huohuo issued the command, a bright silver light illuminated, and the Main Camp transformed from a magnificent golden palace into an ethereal silver-white world, emitting subtle sounds of the Great Dao that inspired awe.
