52: Barbarian King's Ideal

Han Huohuo didn't want to hurt Hua Mulan's fragile heart and sat silently to the side.

Who told you to be defeated? Who can you blame?

After the warhorses rested, the two didn't stay in the wilderness because they were not far from the Barbarian King's Capital City.

The Capital City of the Barbarians is fully named Klurod, but the people of the Great Qian Dynasty disliked the name for being too difficult to remember, so they simply called it Ke City.

Seeing lights in the distance, Ke City was just ahead.

Several one-eyed giants over seven meters tall were playing outside the city gate, throwing stones, each weighing over ten tons.

"These are children of the Cyclops tribe playing. You don't need to be afraid. Not too many people are accidentally crushed to death by them each year."

Han Huohuo's thigh almost cramped. How could he not be afraid? Was this a joke?

Fortunately, the Barbarians also feared these half-human, half-beast monsters, so the Cyclops tribe lived on the hills beside the royal city.

Above Ke City, huge golden eagles flew by, with wingspans over ten meters long.

Frightened, Han Huohuo followed closely behind Hua Mulan and rushed into Ke City.

The Barbarian guards at the gate were all dozing off. Without even questioning them, they were easily let into the city.

This was the Capital City?

So lacking in vigilance?

Barbarians were just Barbarians. Han Huohuo couldn't understand the Barbarians' absolute sense of relaxation.

The Capital City was very large and dirty inside, with strange-looking individuals everywhere. Some didn't even look human.

The composition was too complex.

Hua Mulan rode continuously without stopping until she reached a massive palace. Although the Capital City was chaotic, this palace built of huge stones was exceptionally grand.

Barbarian soldiers with spears and leather armor stood guard neatly around the palace.

Although it was already night, huge braziers burned in front of the palace, and the palace interior was brightly lit with torches everywhere.

"Stop! This is the Barbarian King's palace! No unauthorized personnel allowed!" Several tall Barbarians blocked the front of the palace, blocking the way.

"I am Hua Mulan. Go quickly and inform the Barbarian King! I have something to report!"

The burly Barbarian quickly came over with a torch, took a careful look, and was startled to see it was indeed General Hua Mulan.

"General Hua, please wait. I will go and report first."

The Barbarian hurried inside to report.

Hua Mulan and Han Huohuo dismounted from their horses. A Barbarian nearby led the horses away.

"Please enter the palace, General Hua!" Soon, the Barbarian guards cleared the way.

Spears couldn't be brought in, heavy weapons were too dangerous. Short weapons were fine. The Barbarian King was known as the Barbarians' foremost warrior and didn't care about people only having short weapons, not even Hua Mulan.

Several Barbarians nearby knew Hua Mulan's spear was heavy. Several strong men came over and together lifted the spear away.

The steps were long, and each step was very high.

Before long, Hua Mulan led Han Huohuo into the main hall. The hall was brightly lit with torches everywhere.

Some Orc guards and Minotaur guards were lined up on both sides, looking very fierce.

The Barbarian King sat on the tiger skin chair in the center.

This was the first time Han Huohuo had seen the Barbarian King. He was tall, strong, and had blood-like tattoos on his body.

It was already very cold, but he was still wearing a large pair of leather shorts.

As Han Huohuo looked up at him, the Barbarian King was also looking at Han Huohuo.

The Barbarian King suddenly stood up, drew the short knife from his waist, pointed it at Han Huohuo, and cursed loudly, "Are you that scoundrel who calls himself Fire Barbarian God and goes around saying he's my younger brother?"

Han Huohuo rubbed his nose, thinking that this barbarian fellow was quite well-informed. He knew about the Wanqing City matter after only a few days! It seemed this old guy must have many spies in Wanqing City.

What ulterior motives!

He cupped his hands and said, "Please calm your anger, Lord Barbarian King. I borrowed the Barbarian King's name simply because the southerners feared the King, and I used the King's prestige to suppress those insignificant ants. Furthermore, I borrowed your name also for your sake!"

The Barbarian King, furious, laughed instead, "You say you impersonated my name, but it was for my sake? How do you explain that?"

Han Huohuo took off the backpack from his back, opened it, and took out the Giant Armor from inside. "Lord Barbarian King, do you recognize this treasure?"

The Barbarian King's eyes changed.

Because the Wang family of Wanqing City had not publicly disclosed the news of the Giant Armor, the Barbarian King was also unaware. Seeing Han Huohuo suddenly take out the Giant Armor, he was momentarily stunned.

Han Huohuo actually didn't understand how important this Giant Armor was to the Barbarian King.

The Barbarian King's eyes changed, and he suddenly whispered, "Everything is ready!" Then he lowered his head and asked Han Huohuo, "Why is this armor in your hands?"

Han Huohuo glanced at Hua Mulan. Hua Mulan stepped forward, cupped her hands, and said, "I know this matter best. Please listen to me, Barbarian King..."

Hua Mulan meticulously explained the entire sequence of events to the Barbarian King, then cautiously mentioned that she had submitted to Han Huohuo.

The Barbarian King was expressionless, then suddenly threw away his short knife and burst out laughing.

"It's fine, General Hua, no need to feel guilty. Whether you work for me or for my brother, what difference does it make!?"

"Fire Barbarian God, a good name. From today onwards, every Barbarian will know the name Fire Barbarian God. You are my younger brother, Munan. If anyone dares to bully you in the future, they are looking down on me, the Barbarian King!"

The Barbarian King laughed heartily as he walked down the steps and hugged Han Huohuo. His arms likely had a thousand pounds of strength. A bear hug almost choked Han Huohuo to death.

Too rough, too violent.

Han Huohuo bent down and handed the Giant Armor to the Barbarian King, expressing his submission.

The Barbarian King took the Giant Armor and sighed with emotion, "Do you know the significance of this armor to me?"

Han Huohuo truly didn't understand. This was just a treasure, with attributes at most average, perhaps even far inferior to his own Golden Silk Armor. He couldn't figure out why the Barbarian King valued it so highly. Even if it was a set item, could one treasure really defy fate?

"I don't understand!"

Han Huohuo didn't speak nonsense and replied directly.

"This is part of the Barbarian Battle Axe, a set item. The Barbarian Battle Axe is meaningless to people of other races, but in the hands of a Barbarian, it can boost the morale of all Barbarians, doubling the attack speed of all Barbarians!"

Han Huohuo was shocked. What was the concept of doubling attack speed?

Ten thousand people could have the attack capability of twenty thousand people!?

Is this f*cking thing a treasure?

Is this a divine artifact?

The Barbarian King didn't hide his excitement at all. His laughter echoed throughout the palace. "Call all the Generals! Tonight, I want to introduce everyone to my own brother, Fire Barbarian God!"

The Barbarian King laughed heartily, looking up at the sky.

He didn't hide his excitement at all.

A Barbarian gathering, even the Barbarian King's gathering, involved burning bonfires, drinking heavily, and eating large chunks of meat.

At the gathering, all the Barbarians were hyped up from drinking. Everyone knew that the Barbarian King had a younger brother named Fire Barbarian God.

Nobody cared where this younger brother came from.

Barbarians themselves often weren't sure how many younger brothers they had. This was an open and chaotic land.

If the Barbarian King said it was, then it was!

Reveling, the drunk Barbarians quickly became a chaotic mess.

"Orcs will never be slaves!"

"Minotaur are always champions!"

An Orc General and a Minotaur General disagreed and started wrestling with each other. Both guys were incredibly strong, and everyone quickly moved out of the way.

The Barbarian King got angry, went up and held down one with each hand. The two guys struggled desperately, clearly lacking the Barbarian King's immense strength. They were quickly subdued and thrown out by the Barbarian King, one in each hand.

"If you want to fight, go fight outside! Don't cause trouble here!"

The surrounding Barbarians burst into laughter. Clearly, they were already used to this and didn't find it unusual at all.

All the Barbarians were very excited.

Only the Barbarian King's eyes were incredibly clear. Han Huohuo sat beside the Barbarian King and chuckled, "These subordinates of yours are quite interesting."

The Barbarian King turned his head and looked at Han Huohuo. "Do you know how these strange-looking fellows came about?"

Han Huohuo naturally didn't know and listened curiously to what the Barbarian King had to say.

The Barbarian King nodded and said, "Many years ago, they were all still humans. Because of defeat in battle, they were exiled along with my ancestors to this cursed land, a bitterly cold place in the far north. You know, it's very chaotic here. Many people couldn't resist temptation and promiscuity, which led to many strange individuals."

Han Huohuo was speechless. "Managing this group must be very difficult, right?"

The Barbarian King laughed heartily, "No matter what, they are descendants of my ancestors' followers. I have to make sure they have enough to eat and let them live."
