74: Cabin in the sky
Countless Demons began climbing the Stone Mountain. They didn't know which stone pillar Han Huohuo was hiding on, so they swarmed up all twenty-something pillars.
It was terrifying!
Unlike Han Huohuo, these Demons would immediately burrow into any cracks they found on the mountain. Soon, these Demons began clashing with the Barbarians.
Han Huohuo counted from the mountaintop and saw Barbarian after Barbarian being thrown down by the Demons. There were no screams, only charred corpses.
Fortunately, he hadn't allied with the Savages or Barbarians; it was a trap, and there was no way they could withstand the Demon army.
Clearing the mountain peak was slow; it took a full seven or eight hours for the Barbarians to be completely wiped out.
These Demons still hadn't found Han Huohuo, so they could only continue climbing towards the summit.
The Giant Eagles naturally wouldn't allow the Demons to climb to the mountaintop, as it was their nest. The Giant Eagles began attacking the Demons from the air. Their massive talons and sharp beaks were incredibly powerful, and Demons would occasionally fall from the cliff face.
It must be said that the combat power of these Giant Eagles was much stronger than that of the Barbarians, causing significant damage to the Demons, especially when the Demons were climbing the cliff.
The Demons were extremely frenzied, continuing to climb upwards regardless of casualties.
Han Huohuo knew he had to act. He couldn't let these Demons really climb to the top. The Giant Eagles on the other peaks were fighting, but the Eagle King on his mountain was still glaring fiercely at him.
A magical light appeared in his hand, and then a yellow spear of light shot out.
Earth Spear!
Along the cliff, Han Huohuo hurled Earth Spears downwards from above. This was a Level 4 magic with immense power; it would pierce through a string of Demons, sending them tumbling down like gourds.
Boom!
The Earth Spear also carried a tremendous explosive force. Each spear strike was earth-shattering, causing the Stone Mountain to vibrate non-stop.
One spear strike cleared one side.
The Eagle King behind Han Huohuo was astonished. It couldn't understand how this small body could release such terrifying power?
The only drawback was that these Demons were climbing up all four sides of the Stone Mountain. Han Huohuo ran around on all sides, constantly throwing Earth Spears downwards.
Then he had to rest during the gaps.
Maintaining physical strength was the only way to win the final victory.
After a few hours, he was already panting, his physical strength severely depleted.
In the cold night, he was drenched in sweat from running.
This guy was also fighting for his life; he fought all night, and not a single Demon managed to climb to the mountaintop.
The intense battle continued until dawn, until the sun rose again on the second day. These Demons did not retreat. The entire world was now filled with thick smoke, even obscuring the sun.
The Demons were still climbing upwards recklessly, their numbers endless.
At this point, the Demons had figured out Han Huohuo's location. The battles on the other Stone Mountains stopped, and they all climbed up this peak.
The other Giant Eagles all breathed a sigh of relief and flew back to their nests, no longer fighting the Demons.
Han Huohuo was exhausted, on the verge of collapse. He turned back and roared at the Eagle King, "Aren't you going to do anything? Do you think you can escape when these Demons rush to the mountaintop? If I die, your eggs will be shattered too!"
The Giant Eagle was stunned by his words. After thinking for a moment, it felt that what this kid said seemed to make some sense.
Han Huohuo lay on the ground, panting, with a tendency to strike.
The Eagle King watched the Demons getting closer and also began to panic. It let out a fierce cry and spread its wings, flying into the sky.
It was the Eagle King here. As it let out a sharp cry, all the Giant Eagles on the other peaks took off together, forming a dense mass in the sky as they flew over to help.
Han Huohuo breathed a sigh of relief, knowing he had gambled correctly.
All humanoid creatures were unreliable; only these Giant Eagles could truly help him.
Han Huohuo was so tired he could barely stand. These Giant Eagles were extremely fierce, blocking the Demons halfway up the mountain, preventing them from climbing further.
Han Huohuo breathed a sigh of relief and slumped to the ground, having just relaxed.
Suddenly, a strong gust of wind howled from behind him.
Han Huohuo was startled. When he turned his head, he saw that the Eagle King, taking advantage of his extreme fatigue, was sneak attacking him from behind, targeting the backpack behind him.
This kid was furious. How could the beasts here become so insidious? The timing of the attack was perfect, but Han Huohuo reacted extremely quickly, hugging the backpack to his chest with a backhand. The Eagle King rushed over and directly collided with Han Huohuo.
The force of this impact was immense, almost like being hit head-on by a train. Han Huohuo immediately coughed up a mouthful of fresh blood.
He wrapped his arm around the Eagle King's neck.
The Eagle King carried Han Huohuo into the sky.
Immediately, the Demons below were dumbfounded. What should they do?
Many Demons had small wings, but unfortunately, they couldn't fly. Looking up, they saw Han Huohuo being carried to an extremely high altitude by the Giant Eagle, and they were all at a loss.
The Eagle King spread its wings for thousands of miles. In the sky above, there was no smoke, and the sun was extremely bright, as hot as flames. Han Huohuo desperately clung to the Eagle King's neck. Even so, he did not let go of the bird egg in his backpack.
He knew too well that only this bird egg could give him a glimmer of hope.
Above the clouds, the sky was azure.
The Giant Eagle was completely enraged, performing high-difficulty turns and extremely complex maneuvers in the air. Han Huohuo was seeing stars, dizzy and nauseous, and several times he almost couldn't hold onto the Eagle King's neck and was nearly thrown off.
He wanted to shout to the Eagle King that if it kept flying, he would smash the egg, but when he opened his mouth, there was only a fierce wind, and he couldn't say a single word.
This was absolutely messed up!
Just as his strength was failing, he suddenly saw a small wooden house floating in the extremely high sky.
Han Huohuo was stunned!
Am I seeing things? What is this now?
Just then, the Eagle King suddenly flew sideways and shook its neck. Han Huohuo really didn't have the strength to hold onto the Giant Eagle's neck tightly, and he was thrown into the air.
Han Huohuo didn't care anymore. He immediately changed direction and flew towards the wooden house, reaching out and grabbing the wooden railing at the door. The door of the small wooden house was open, and he turned and jumped inside.
The wooden house was real, not an illusion!
The Eagle King felt its neck loosen and was overjoyed. It turned its head to snatch Han Huohuo's backpack back, but when it turned around, it was instantly bewildered.
Han Huohuo had suddenly disappeared!
His entire body vanished in the air, leaving only the clear sky and the scorching sun. He was just gone, just like that.
The Eagle King could not see that small wooden house.
The frantic Eagle King flew back and forth in the sky, having completely lost track of Han Huohuo.
When it looked down, it saw that the Demons had retreated from the Stone Mountain and were withdrawing into the Great Canyon. Clearly, these Demons couldn't find Han Huohuo either.
What happened?
The Eagle King flapped its wings in despair in the air! Its heart was cold. This scoundrel of a human!
Han Huohuo rolled into the small wooden house, and the door suddenly closed.
Absolute darkness!
There was no light at all. With Han Huohuo's perception abilities, he couldn't see anything in front of him.
When he turned around, the door he had just entered through was also gone. It seemed that this was not a small wooden house at all, but a completely enclosed black box.
He was trapped inside the black box.
This feeling was despairing, filling Han Huohuo's heart with endless fear.
It was extremely quiet all around, not a single sound, only Han Huohuo's own panting. Because he was so tired just now, he was still breathing heavily.
He rested for a while.
Han Huohuo looked at the system. A prompt appeared in the system.
【Prompt: You have entered a strange area. This area is connected to many strange places. Do you choose to explore further? If you choose yes, you will randomly enter a strange place. If you choose no, you will automatically exit.】
Han Huohuo was startled.
If he chose yes, he could understand that he would randomly enter a strange place. But what did choosing no and automatically exiting mean?
Leaving this small wooden house and returning to the original world, or something else?
He thought for a moment.
Han Huohuo chose no. He didn't want to go anywhere; he just wanted to complete the mission quickly. If he could directly exit the Hall of Heroes, that would be for the best.
