Ready

100: Chapter 100 Then Yao Yao will go with you.

"The soup is ready."

Ten minutes later, a blushing An Ran couldn't help but remind him.

Jiang Che nodded gently and took his hand off An Ran's leg.

"Let's eat."

Watching Jiang Che, who had almost rubbed the silk stockings until they pilled, yet now wore an expression of righteous integrity as if nothing had happened, An Ran felt a mix of amusement and exasperation.

How does this guy manage to be both wicked and serious at the same time?

"I might have a business trip next week." An Ran suddenly spoke up in the middle of dinner.

"A business trip?" Jiang Che was a bit surprised. He hadn't seen An Ran go on a business trip in all the time he'd been at the company, and more importantly, that was usually the business department's job. "Are you going alone?"

"Not me, it's you."

"???" Jiang Che was full of question marks. Then he heard An Ran continue, "Originally, they said I should pick someone else from the department to go, two people total. But before I came over this evening, I received a notice from the Vice President that there are other important matters next week, so I have to stay behind."

"I'm going by myself?"

"You can pick someone from the department."

"The department? Besides you and me, that just leaves Yang Fei and Luo Yao. Who do you think is better?"

"It's your business trip, so naturally you should choose." An Ran said softly.

"Then I'll choose Luo Yao." Jiang Che said this deliberately.

Sure enough, hearing that Jiang Che wanted to take Luo Yao on the business trip, An Ran's hand paused. She stared straight at him for two seconds before looking away, then whispered, "Choose again."

Jiang Che couldn't help but laugh; An Ran's cold and aloof personality made even her jealousy so interesting.

"Then that only leaves Yang Fei?"

"Then you and Yang Fei can go together."

Jiang Che was amused, but since An Ran had spoken, he naturally wouldn't deliberately provoke her again.

"Alright, I'll listen to you. But where are we going? What's the specific task?"

"We're going to Xia City. As for the specific arrangements, I'll forward the email to you tomorrow morning."

"Xia City?" Jiang Che murmured. It seemed... he saw Su Su post on her Moments earlier today, and it was in Xia City? It couldn't be such a coincidence, could it?

After dinner, Jiang Che asked An Ran if she wanted to go for a walk, but she shook her head.

Seeing this, Jiang Che glanced at the TV and continued, "There doesn't seem to be anything good on TV these past two days. How about... we go back to the room, shower, and then lie down and chat?"

An Ran glanced at Jiang Che. She could see right through such a clumsy excuse, but after a moment of silence, she nodded slightly anyway.

After An Ran entered the bathroom, Jiang Che followed her in shortly after.

An Ran, just about to brush her teeth, saw him follow her in and close the door. Her cheeks immediately flushed. "What are you coming in here for?"

"Brushing my teeth and washing my face. It saves time to do it together."

As he spoke, Jiang Che picked up the toothpaste and started squeezing it onto his brush, acting as if he were alone.

Seeing him honestly and earnestly washing up, An Ran didn't say anything more. But soon, she realized that Jiang Che's fox... no, his big bad wolf tail was showing.

Because after washing her face, An Ran intended to take a shower, but Jiang Che just stood there to the side, with absolutely no intention of leaving.

"I'm going to shower."

"Oh, go ahead."

An Ran's cheeks were slightly red. "Get out."

"That won't do. Girls need to protect themselves properly; it's so dangerous to shower alone... Hey? Why are you pushing me?"

In the end, Jiang Che was pushed out of the bathroom by the blushing An Ran. He stood at the doorway and shook his head. "It seems we haven't showered together enough; she's not used to it, which is why she's shy. However..."

Jiang Che looked at the bathroom door. "Did you forget that this is my house and I have the key?"

He didn't act impulsively but waited quietly for a moment. When the sound of the shower spray came from inside, Jiang Che smiled.

The time had come.

So, a minute later, there was first the sound of a key opening the door, followed immediately by a startled cry of both shame and annoyance.

"How did you get in!"

"I was afraid you wouldn't know how to wash by yourself, so I came in to ask if you needed help."

"You, get out quickly... *whimper*..."

Following a soft cry, the bathroom was quiet for a moment, and then... two increasingly heated and heavy breaths began to grow...

They hadn't been together for several days. Jiang Che missed An Ran, and although An Ran hadn't said it out loud, she missed Jiang Che too.

Three minutes later: "Go, go to the room..." "It's fine, right here."

Ten minutes later: "Jiang, Jiang Che..." "It's okay, I'm holding you."

Twenty minutes later: "This, this is so embarrassing." "Come on, I'll carry you back to the room."

By the time Jiang Che carried An Ran back to the room, she was covered in an unusual flush, her eyes somewhat unfocused, looking very charming.

"Turn off the light..." She said softly, her voice as faint as a mosquito's hum.

Jiang Che turned off the light and immediately pulled An Ran into his arms again.

Nuzzling and whispering soft words, soon, the ice beauty An Ran felt her body burning like fire, scorching to an alarming degree.

"Jiang Che... I, I'm getting dizzy."

Jiang Che gently kissed An Ran's earlobe. "Then, shall we stop?"

An Ran didn't answer, but subconsciously hid her crimson face in Jiang Che's embrace.

Jiang Che smiled. At this moment, An Ran was like a little girl who had discovered a delicious candy, curious and intoxicated by it.

Tonight, the Stinky Girl indeed didn't come back. The few hours of being alone left both of them satisfied, but they didn't keep demanding more; after all, they had to go to work tomorrow.

When they woke up the next day, both of them looked refreshed after a good night's sleep. Especially An Ran, whose eyes and brows seemed to carry a subtle, charming allure that made her look more beautiful the more one looked at her.

After arriving at the company, An Ran just finished telling Yang Fei about the business trip arrangements, and the latter immediately looked troubled.

"What day next week?" "Monday." "Can't it be changed?"

"It took Manager Song a lot of effort to book an hour with the other party next Monday afternoon. If we miss it, it's gone." An Ran had just finished explaining when she suddenly frowned. "Is your schedule inconvenient?"

"I have some private business, the quite important kind." Yang Fei said straightforwardly.

An Ran understood Yang Fei's character. He was a smooth talker but very serious and responsible when getting things done; he wouldn't deliberately make excuses to slack off. Hearing him say that meant there was truly something going on.

An Ran felt a little troubled, and just at that moment, Luo Yao, who was to the side, raised her hand and said: "Sister An Ran, is this a business trip with Brother Che? Me, me, me! I've never been on a business trip before. I'll go!"

Jiang Che had black lines all over his head. An Ran looked at Luo Yao's expectant face and then subconsciously turned to Jiang Che. Finally, with a hint of imperceptible jealousy, she said: "What do you think?"

How could Jiang Che not hear the jealousy in An Ran's words? So he smiled helplessly and said: "I'll listen to your arrangements."

After hesitating for two seconds, An Ran said softly: "Then let Luo Yao go with you."

At noon, in the gap before lunch, Jiang Che sent a message to Jiang Ning. "I'm going on a business trip next week."

And the Stinky Girl, who hadn't looked for him for two days, sent a message back very quickly. "Where to? How long?"

"Xia City, should be 2 or 3 days." "By yourself?" "With a colleague from the department." "Yang Fei?" "No..."

After sending this, the Stinky Girl was quiet for a few seconds. Just when Jiang Che thought she might have finished class, Jiang Ning replied again: "A girl?"

Jiang Che hesitated for five seconds without replying. Then, the Stinky Girl immediately sent another message: "I'm coming home tonight!"
