77: Chapter 77 Whose hair is this?

Jiang Che arrived at An Ran's place shortly after 7 o'clock. By the time the two of them emerged from the bedroom, it was nearly 10.

As expected, breakfast had long since gone completely cold.

An Ran, the flush on her face not yet fully faded, cast a slightly reproachful glance at Jiang Che.

"I'll go buy another portion."

"At this hour, they're already closed."

"That's fine, I'll just order takeout. Come on, let's go back to the room and rest for a while."

After Jiang Che said this, he noticed An Ran looking at him with flushed ears, yet she didn't enter the room.

"Aren't you tired?"

An Ran blushed, "I am, I'm just afraid if I go in, I'll be even more tired later."

Jiang Che was left speechless, "Although I'm in good shape, we've only rested for ten minutes or so. A third time might be a bit hard on the body, don't you think?"

Even though Jiang Che said this, An Ran still didn't quite believe him, "I'll rest on the sofa for a bit... Ah!"

Before she could even finish her sentence, An Ran had already been scooped up by Jiang Che, who then walked to the sofa and sat down with her.

Seeing An Ran's reproachful gaze, Jiang Che smiled, "Don't be so nervous, it really is just to rest."

Seeing his repeated assurances, An Ran finally relaxed and leaned into his embrace.

Looking at An Ran's flushed face, Jiang Che felt a bit emotional; the saying that "lust is a blade hanging over one's head" was truly correct.

He used to think An Ran's legs were top-tier, but after their two encounters, he realized her waist was too.

A bone-scraping blade, truly a bone-scraping blade.

An Ran seemed to sense Jiang Che's gaze, slightly pulling back her legs, and chided, "Still looking!"

Jiang Che smiled and whispered into her ear, "Your waist is lethal."

An Ran lightly raised her hand and slapped him on the shoulder, "Isn't that just because you're being bad!"

"Isn't it normal for a man to be 'bad' with his girlfriend?"

"Who said I was your girlfriend?"

"Here we go again. If not, then what was that just now?"

"It counts as you taking liberties with me."

"This... fine, I'll admit to this time, but what about last time?"

"Last time I took liberties with you, so we're even."

Jiang Che was rendered speechless, "That works? So we're just taking liberties with each other back and forth, what does that make us now?"

An Ran looked into Jiang Che's eyes, was silent for a moment, and whispered, "Lovers."

"Lovers? Isn't that a bit cliché?" Jiang Che was a bit amused and speechless.

An Ran reached out, wrapped her arms around Jiang Che, and pressed her cheek against his chest, "Just lovers."

Jiang Che shook his head; the An Ran right now was a different person from the one in the bedroom just a moment ago.

The one in the bedroom was real and pure; the one who came out was calm and duplicitous.

"Is your sister home today?" After Jiang Che finished ordering takeout, An Ran asked softly.

"Yeah, this girl slept at home last night."

"Will she go back to school?"

"Hmm?" Jiang Che was a bit puzzled by why she asked that.

"If she's not there, I'll stay at your place tonight."

Hearing An Ran say this, Jiang Che was slightly surprised. However, since An Ran had brought it up, even if the Stinky Girl was originally planning to stay home today, he would have to "persuade" her to go back to school. After all, she was a student, and her studies were the priority; how could she spend all day off campus?

Jiang Che stayed at An Ran's place until the afternoon.

Around 3 o'clock, seeing that it was about time, Jiang Che finally called the Stinky Girl and learned that because she was too bored being home alone, she had already returned to school.

Jiang Che took An Ran home with him. On the way, An Ran stopped Jiang Che, and they went to the supermarket first.

In the supermarket, besides buying some ingredients, An Ran also bought a pile of snacks. When Jiang Che curiously asked why she was buying snacks when she didn't like them, An Ran only said, "Buying them for Jiang Ning."

Finally, An Ran went to the daily necessities section and bought toiletries and a pair of slippers.

When the two left the supermarket, Jiang Che noticed that An Ran seemed to be in a very good mood.

"What's up? Are you that happy about staying at my place tonight?"

An Ran rolled her eyes at him slightly, "I just think it's happy to have someone accompany me while shopping at the supermarket."

"I couldn't tell, you actually have this hobby."

"Yeah, what? Do you think I'm strange?"

"No, it's quite cute. I previously thought only girls like Yao Yao would love shopping at the supermarket."

As they walked, when they were almost at the entrance of the residential complex, An Ran suddenly called out to Jiang Che.

Jiang Che stopped his footsteps, and then he saw An Ran walk into a nearby pharmacy.

Two minutes later, An Ran walked back out. Looking at her slightly flushed face, Jiang Che knew what she had bought.

Little umbrellas, and... emergency contraceptive pills.

The two times that morning, they had been a bit swept up in the moment and hadn't taken any precautions.

"The time a few days ago, you also...?" Jiang Che asked, feeling a bit slow on the uptake.

An Ran's face flushed slightly, and she nodded.

The two quickly returned home. This was only An Ran's third time entering Jiang Che's home.

Opening the door, the Stinky Girl was indeed not at home. However, when Jiang Che walked to the door of his room, he paused slightly.

He had simply folded the quilt when he left, why was it messy again? Did he remember it wrong?

Just as he was stunned, An Ran placed the items on the table, walked over, looked into the room along Jiang Che's line of sight, and then asked curiously, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, the bed is a bit messy." Jiang Che said casually.

After putting away the things bought from the supermarket one by one, Jiang Che noticed that An Ran had entered his room and then gone quiet.

He walked to the doorway and saw An Ran sitting on his bed, looking at a few photos on the side.

"You don't seem to have changed much at all." An Ran turned her head to look at Jiang Che and said.

"That's right, still so young and handsome, otherwise how could I have caught your eye?"

Seeing him bragging, An Ran cast a reproachful glance at him, then continued looking at the other photos.

"Your sister has changed quite a bit, she's getting prettier and prettier now."

"The Stinky Girl? She had a round face back then; now, she has changed quite a lot."

An Ran smiled, "But you could tell from when she was little that she was going to be a beauty, it's just that she doesn't look much like you."

An Ran's unintentional remark made Jiang Che's heart skip a beat.

The Stinky Girl wasn't his biological sister to begin with; the two had no blood relationship... but this matter, here, was only known to Jiang Ning and himself.

Jiang Che wanted to change the subject, so he said, "I'll change the sheets and quilt cover later."

Upon hearing this, An Ran lightly patted the bedsheet, "Mm."

However, after patting it twice, her brows suddenly furrowed slightly.

A second ago, Jiang Che was still curious about why her expression had suddenly changed; the next second, An Ran reached out and picked a long black hair from the bed.

The two met each other's eyes, were silent for a moment, and An Ran looked into Jiang Che's eyes and asked softly:

"Yours?"

Jiang Che was rendered speechless, "I'm a guy, where would I get such long hair?"

"Then, this hair... whose is it?"
