20: Chapter 20 Your legs are probably longer than my life.

Jiang Che paused for a moment, then spoke: "You aren't going to drink from my cup, are you?"

Jiang Ning looked a bit guilty and muttered in a low voice: "I'm thirsty, that's why. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to use your cup."

"Go to the kitchen and get a bowl yourself."

"No, who knows if you washed it clean."

"..." Jiang Che was speechless. He checked the time; it was already the middle of the night, and he couldn't be bothered to argue with this girl. Finally, he said irritably: "Don't finish it all."

A flash of joy appeared in Jiang Ning's eyes. She then walked to the bedside with a smile and picked up Jiang Che's water cup.

She unscrewed the lid and felt the water temperature; it was just right.

The Stinky Girl took a couple of light sips, stealing a glance at Jiang Che while she drank.

Soon, Jiang Ning put down the water cup. Jiang Che looked at her: "Anything else?"

Jiang Ning looked at him and shook her head.

"Are you sure? I'm getting ready to sleep."

The latter nodded earnestly.

After Jiang Ning left the room, Jiang Che sat up and leaned against the headboard, intending to have a drink of water before turning off the lights to sleep.

When he picked up the cup, he didn't feel anything wrong, but after taking a sip, his expression froze.

Why did it taste slightly sweet?

He lowered his head slowly, then looked at the cup... On it, there was a faint, red mark...

Lip balm? Lipstick? Jiang Che's mind was a bit dizzy. What was this? Did he accidentally take advantage of the Stinky Girl? That didn't seem right either; it felt like he was the one who lost out?

Next door, Jiang Ning, who had returned to her room, leaned against the door, her cheeks slightly flushed. After taking two deep breaths, she slowly walked into the bathroom, pulled out a tissue, and carefully wiped away the red on her lips.

She pursed her lips and looked at her flushed, peach-blossom-like face in the mirror, feeling her heart beating a little fast.

The next morning, a groggy Jiang Che heard footsteps in the living room outside, but since his alarm hadn't gone off, he didn't pay it any mind.

"Idiot, I'm going to school."

Not long after, the door was pushed open, and a crisp voice rang out.

"Mm." Jiang Che didn't even open his eyes and responded casually. But soon, he felt something was off.

"Who are you calling an idiot?" He opened his eyes, but there was no one at the door; who knew how long ago Jiang Ning had already left.

After 7 o'clock, the alarm went off. Jiang Che got dressed, got up, and finished washing up. Only then did he see a breakfast covered by a plate on the dining table, along with a bottle of milk.

It was obviously bought by the Stinky Girl, but this girl... woke up so early?

...

In the blink of an eye, it was Friday, the fifth day since the Stinky Girl started school.

Right before getting off work, Jiang Che sent a message to Jiang Ning.

"Don't forget about dinner tonight."

Afterward, he also sent an address to Jiang Ning.

Soon, Jiang Ning replied, but after reading it, Jiang Che nearly blacked out.

"Oh, if you hadn't mentioned it, I would have almost forgotten."

Jiang Che had a headache. Sure enough, this girl was still the same as before; her memory wasn't very good.

"But you guys go ahead after work. I'll be a little late."

Jiang Che looked at the message and frowned slightly: "Didn't you say yesterday that you only had two classes on Friday afternoon?"

"I... have some other things to do, but I'll definitely be there."

Jiang Ning replied with that, and then, no matter how much Jiang Che asked, there was no response.

As it was almost time to get off work, Yang Fei shut down his computer early.

"Jiang Che, want a ride in my car?"

Jiang Che sat in his chair, looked at him, then shook his head lightly: "I already agreed with An Ran at noon that I'd ride in her car."

"Me too!" Luo Yao, who was to the side, also raised her hand and said with a smile.

"Hey, I'm telling you two, you aren't targeting me, are you? You, a grown man, why are you riding in her car?"

"Because there are legs to look at." Jiang Che said earnestly.

Yang Fei's eyes widened. A moment later, he cursed: "What a damn reasonable reason. Forget it, it seems like my car needs a tire change. An Ran, I'll ride in your car too."

"There's no room." An Ran, who knew what Yang Fei was up to, refused directly, then looked at Jiang Che: "When did you learn to be bad?"

"I'm telling the truth. Who in our company doesn't know that your legs, An Ran, are the most pleasing to the eye? Long, straight, and well-proportioned..."

"Want to touch?" An Ran's face flushed slightly as she looked at Jiang Che.

Jiang Che almost couldn't resist agreeing, but in the end, he smiled: "Forget it, let's talk about it another day when there's no one in the office."

As soon as these words were out, An Ran immediately glared at him with a hint of bashful annoyance.

"Brother Jiang, you're really bold, daring to tease even Sister An Ran." Luo Yao whispered.

"Yao Yao, remember, in our office, you must stay far away from Yang Fei."

Luo Yao nodded heavily, and then An Ran continued: "It's best if you stay far away from Jiang Che too."

Luo Yao hesitated for two seconds and smiled awkwardly: "That probably isn't necessary, right?"

Seeing her innocent appearance, An Ran shook her head: "Unless... you aren't afraid of him staring at your legs all day while working in the summer."

Hearing this, Luo Yao let out an 'Ah?', and then, her gaze toward Jiang Che carried a bit of wariness.

Jiang Che didn't refute it either, just smiled faintly and said: "Don't listen to your Sister An Ran's nonsense. What 'staring at legs'..."

Just as Luo Yao was about to nod lightly, she heard him continue: "I look at waists and butts too, alright? They're pleasing to the eye, I'm not picky."

"Pfft!" Both women spat at him simultaneously.

"By the way, did you send the address to your sister? We'll leave when the time comes. Do you want to go pick her up?" An Ran looked at Jiang Che.

"She has the address. This girl said she has some other things to do and will be a little late, so let's just head there directly."

"That works too." An Ran thought about it and nodded.

Soon, it was time to clock out, and the four people in the office really didn't stay to work overtime; they just left.

When they got to the garage, Yang Fei watched helplessly as Jiang Che got into the passenger seat of An Ran's Xiaomi SU7. Afterward, he looked at Luo Yao as if asking for help: "Little sister Yao Yao, you know me. Help your brother save some face. Come on, get in my car."

Luo Yao's expression was conflicted. She looked at Yang Fei, then looked at An Ran's car next to them. Finally, thinking of An Ran's warning, she stuck out her tongue and got into the SU7 anyway.

As soon as she got into the back seat, Luo Yao heard Jiang Che exclaim: "An Ran, these legs of yours... I'm afraid they're longer than my life."

"If you keep looking like that, I'll tell your sister tonight."

"..." Jiang Che was speechless. "It's not good for women to be too vindictive."

The corners of An Ran's mouth curled up slightly: "What a coincidence, I'm not in a relationship, I don't have a boyfriend. To be precise, I'm not a woman, I'm a girl."

Luo Yao nodded repeatedly from the back: "Exactly, we are both girls."

"It's not good for girls to be vindictive either; it can easily cause menstrual irregularities."

"Pfft!" This time An Ran was truly blushing. She turned her head and glared at Jiang Che. "Pervert."
