9: Chapter 9 Hmph, who's on good terms with him?

Jiang Che had black lines all over his head. "Stinky Girl, don't you slander me."

"Then do you dare to swear that if you just had lustful thoughts, you... you won't be able to find a girlfriend?"

"I won't swear."

Jiang Ning: "..."

He wore an expression of upright righteousness. "I, Jiang Che, stand tall and sit straight; I don't need to rely on oaths to prove myself."

"So, you did have lustful thoughts, didn't you?"

"..." After two seconds of silence, Jiang Che looked outside the stairwell. "Look, it's so lively ahead. Let's go, let's go take a look."

Watching his retreating figure as he slipped away, Jiang Ning huffed angrily and stomped her foot.

Most things had already been taken care of for Jiang Ning by Jiang Che, but for some basic daily necessities that could be easily found in the campus supermarket, Jiang Che took Jiang Ning to buy them on campus.

Afterward, the two of them walked a full circle around the school, visiting the front of every building to get familiar with the campus environment.

After a full hour or so, both of them had some thoughts.

Jiang Ning felt that university was indeed much bigger than high school, with a better environment and better atmosphere.

Jiang Che, on the other hand, realized that female college students were still young and full of vitality...

By the time the two returned to 303, it was almost noon. Unlike the previous time, everyone was present this time.

Besides Chen Shuyan, there were two more girls—or to be precise, two pretty girls.

One had a sweet bun hairstyle, wearing a light green coat and jeans, with a small white crossbody bag, looking very playful and cute.

One had a side braid and was wearing an off-shoulder beige short dress, with a wildness in her eyes that didn't quite match her age.

"Hiss! Why did you bump into me?" Jiang Che suddenly frowned in pain and whispered.

"Hmph, who told you to look around?" Jiang Ning huffed softly, then walked into the dormitory. "Roommates?"

The two girls looked Jiang Ning and Jiang Che over, then nodded.

Jiang Che lowered the hand he was using to rub his stomach and slowly stepped forward.

"I'm also in this dormitory. My name is Jiang Ning."

After Jiang Ning finished introducing herself, Jiang Che, acting on the principle of being warm and friendly, looked at the bun-hairstyle girl and the side-braid girl, and asked in turn, "Song Yike? Tang Xinwei?"

After he asked, everyone except him and Jiang Ning laughed.

"I'm Tang Xinwei, she's Song Yike." The girl with the bun hairstyle blushed slightly and said embarrassedly.

After she finished speaking, the girl named Song Yike looked at Jiang Che, then turned her playful gaze toward Jiang Ning. "Your boyfriend?"

Jiang Ning, having been misunderstood again, turned beet red. After hesitating for two seconds, she waved her hands repeatedly.

"Classmate, I'm her brother. My name is Jiang Che."

"Doesn't look like it." Song Yike whispered with a smile.

It was an unintentional remark, but it made Jiang Che and Jiang Ning feel somewhat awkward; after all, they were siblings, but... not biological ones.

However, it was naturally impossible to tell their roommates this now. Jiang Che smiled faintly and looked at the three of them. "My sister is living on campus for the first time. I'll have to ask you all to look after her in the future. Haven't you eaten yet? Shall we go to the canteen together? I saw some small stalls on the second floor; why don't we try them together?"

The three girls hesitated for two seconds but soon agreed.

While going down the stairs, Jiang Che, who was walking at the very front, muttered something to his sister walking beside him.

"Is your school assigning dormitory girls based on their looks?"

Jiang Ning, who had been slightly distracted and lost in thought, turned her head and looked at her brother with a blank expression. "Huh?"

"Your dormitory... is a bit too pretty."

Soon, Jiang Ning realized what he meant and looked at Jiang Che with a strange expression.

Fearing that his sister would misunderstand him as a lecher, Jiang Che quickly added, "Of course, you're the prettiest."

Hearing this, Jiang Ning's face flushed red, and she glared at him with slight embarrassment and annoyance.

The school canteen was divided into four sections. Besides Chinese food, each section had many small stalls with all kinds of delicacies.

The five of them went up to the second floor of the canteen next to the dormitory. Jiang Che fetched the menu, asked about their dietary restrictions, and ordered two dishes first. When he handed the menu over, the other three roommates realized Jiang Che was treating them and felt a bit embarrassed to order. So, Jiang Che took the menu back and said, "Since you're all too embarrassed, I'll just order whatever I want."

In the end, for the five of them, it was six dishes and one soup.

"Thank you, you've spent too much." Tang Xinwei and Chen Shuyan thanked him.

Song Yike smiled slightly, watching Jiang Che with great interest, but did not speak.

"Jiang Ning, there are also desserts and milk tea here. See if you want to order a few cups." Jiang Che flipped to the back of the menu and handed it to Jiang Ning.

Jiang Ning looked up at him, but... she didn't respond, nor did she take the menu.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Jiang Che, with black lines on his head, changed how he addressed her: "Ningning?"

This time, Jiang Ning's cheeks flushed slightly, and she reached out to take the menu.

Chen Shuyan and Tang Xinwei both felt the relationship between the siblings seemed a bit interesting. Only Song Yike, this time, shifted her gaze to Jiang Ning.

During lunch, everyone chatted happily. Of course, most of it was Jiang Ning and her roommates, while Jiang Che just listened from the side.

However, during the half hour of listening, Jiang Che also learned quite a lot.

Both Chen Shuyan and Tang Xinwei were locals from Nansu, while Song Yike was from the neighboring province, Hangzhou City.

As for their personalities, Chen Shuyan was a standard lady—reserved and easily shy.

Tang Xinwei, true to her name, was very cute—a typical sweet girl with a lively and cheerful personality.

Song Yike... had a mature personality and didn't talk much, but she clearly felt meticulous and very intelligent.

Perhaps because his sister was too pretty, when he first entered the dormitory at noon and saw the three girls standing together, he only thought that all three of them had good looks.

But after the five of them went downstairs, Jiang Che realized that his judgment had been slightly off.

The rate at which people turned to look at the four girls beside him was simply too high.

It was only then that he realized Jiang Ning had raised his standards. Not to mention Jiang Ning, the other three would definitely rank at the top in terms of looks in any department on campus.

Just as Jiang Che was letting his thoughts wander, he suddenly heard his name mentioned from the side.

"Jiang Ning, is your brother also from our school? A senior?" Song Yike asked, looking at Jiang Che.

"He's not. He's an old salted meat. He's already graduated and working." Jiang Ning said casually while picking up some food.

"Old salted meat? Me? Stinky Girl, when you go home tonight..." Jiang Che didn't finish his sentence, but his tone didn't hide his threat at all.

Thinking about how she had only been in Nansu for a few short days and had already been disciplined by Jiang Che several times, Jiang Ning's face immediately flushed red, and she obediently shut her mouth.

Seeing this scene, both Tang Xinwei and Chen Shuyan couldn't help but smile, while Song Yike examined the two of them and then said softly.

"Jiang Ning, you and your brother have a really good relationship."

Jiang Ning was stunned after hearing this. She glanced at Jiang Che intentionally or unintentionally and muttered nonchalantly:

"Hmph, who has a good relationship with him?"
